I love this place. This is a family owned/family run restaurant. They are super friendly and the food is the best Mediterranean food I have had anywhere. I have been there probably 8 times since it opened and have always been blown away by the terrific food. My favorites are the hummus (a little different than elsewhere, but delicious), the baba ghanoush, the tabbouleh, and the falafels. I brought some friends there today and when I told the owner/chef (who was serving us) how he made the best falafels, he brought an extra plate! Ive also enjoyed both the meat filled and vegetarian grape leaves (expect them to be different than what you get in Greek Town, but they were similar to what my Turkish friend makes). Pitas are served piping hot, and youll get as many as you want, just ask for more to finish up that baba ghanoush! I highly recommend the eggplant dinner (not sure of the name) if you are vegetarian, or the beef schwarma, chicken kabob, beef kabob, or keftka kabob if you are a meat eater. I have never had a bad experience with any hostess or wait staff (yep, wife, daughter, son, maybe more family members I havent met yet), but the service can be slow, its true. I dont mind given the quality, friendliness, and basically, I dont go out these days if Im in a rush, but only if I want an enjoyable meal to chat with friends and family. Yes, I have had to ask for water twice, but I never have a problem catching someones eye. So basically, Ive been there before, I was there today, I plan to go again many more times. Ive had a good deal of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food from different cooks and restaurants (including Greek, Turkish, Arab) and this is my favorite overall. If you like Mediterranean or Middle Eastern food, do give it a try. Dont expect it to be exactly the same (it is labeled Mediterranean & Egyptian cuisine). We dont all make our chili the same, why would every family that makes hummus make it exactly the same???

Dont waste your time! I was really craving some good middle eastern food and was disappointed. They said the best thing on the menu was the Moroccan lamb, but they didnt have any. The restaurant was freezing and I had to keep my jacket on the entire meal. 10 minutes after we ordered, they came back to see if we decided what we wanted...not a good start! Food came out barely warm too. Combination appetizer was satisfactory-not bad, but not anything I would go back for compared to other places. Lentel soup was good, but luke warm and lacking salt. The luke warm dolmades were covered in stewed tomatoes which had no seasoning. We ordered the mina grill combination platter to share. They brought 2 full orders to our table. When we told the woman (owner) we only ordered (with her son) 1 to share, she seemed frustrated and took one and walked away without saying anything. The rice was hot, unfortunately the meat was not-serving was a large portion though. I tried getting their attention to request hot sauce several times. They walked by me and didnt even notice I was saying anything to them, so I gave up. We ordered baklava to go, since we were there almost 2 hours already. It took 25 minutes to get the check after they brought the dessert, which we should have just ate while we were waiting. When we got in the car we looked at the baklava and saw 2 small bite size pieces. That was probably the best part of the meal. I am so happy we had a coupon, because the prices were way too high for the lack of quality, flavor and service. Do not waste your time going here!

Simply Horrible, We went for the second time yesterday, the waitress didnt even greet us and told us whatever u wanna order, order it now kitchen is closing in 10 mins, we ordered and it came fast, food was good, as we were eating they started closing the lights as if they forgot that they had customers, the bill came with 18% gratutiy for 2 people and when I gave her my groupon she took out the amount for groupon but tip was as it is, wen i asked her why has she put in so much tip for her she started quarelling that groupon customers dont give any tip and left but she is such a big liar she added the tip before i gave her my groupon, i told her if this was ur attitude no one would ever return...imagine she said me food here is very cheap as if she was paying my bill and if you dont like it you might as well leave, this place sucks in service. What she did was put all the blame on the owner and told this his policy!! Why does a restaurant promote themselves by groupon or living social if they suck in customer service and manners!!! No one will ever return to them...the food was good but whats the use of going there if they treat you like this!! If someone has extra money donate it to homeless atleast youll have satisfaction that you did something good rather than going wasting money, time and getting ur cortisol high!!! Please never go to this place if you wanna keep ur self respect! Thats all i wanna say.

We (I and my wife) visited it last night ( 5/23/2014). The service was despicable.Compared to other Mediterranean Restaurants in the area ( pita-pita and pita inn) the portions were extremely small. The waitress refused to give the wi-fi password despite claims that there is free wi-fi in resturant. The prices for same dishes when compared with other Mediterranean Restaurants in the area are at least 20% higher. They had too few customers considering it was a Friday evening but the two waitresses were no where to be seen. They took the order and disappeared for 40 minutes. Despite the fact that we were just two people they added a 18% tip which is ordinarily charged for a group order. This after advertising their resturant on Groupon with a 10 for 20 cupon. What was worse was that even after adding the 18% in the prelim bill, they showed an additional line of "tip" after swiping the credit card and sending it for signature. Anyone who is not careful enough to read the original bill would have paid additional tip. Conclusion- In comparison to its peers ( pita-pita and pita inn) in the area, this resturant charges higher prices, provides cheaper quality food and absolutely shabby sevice. To top it all they arbitrarily charge the exhorbitant tip. The low priced cupon on Groupon et. al. is only a bait. Avoid this resturant like plague!

Simply not very good. Mina is a sort-of upper scale Middle Eastern restaurant. Unlike Pita Inn or other falafel joints, Mina has table cloths, plates, and even alcoholic beverages. The decor is actually fairly nice which lead us to believe this was going to be a pleasant experience. Unfortunately it was not. While the appetizers (hummus, babaganoush, tabouleh, falafel) were all very good - the babaganoush was some of the best Ive had - the rest of the meal was rather lack luster and rather bland to say the least. Plus, what they serving as schwarma was more like stir-fried beef than any schwarma Ive ever come across. It was most certainly not cut off of a spit and I didnt even recognize it as schwarma on the plate. Kabobs were okay, but tasted more like some Americanized Greek food than authentic Middle Eastern. Service was okay: attentive, but not overly friendly or helpful, though considering we were the only table in the restaurant on an early Wednesday evening I would have expected a little more from them. Overall, I wasnt dissapointed in the meal. It was fair for the price. However, I also cant see any reason to return as there are simply numerous other Middle Eastern restuarants that serve better food at a better price.
