Very disappointing birthday party celebration for our friend. Which is very unfortunate because we have celebrated many of my friends birthdays there and always left very happy. Our waiter, was arrogant, not patient and argumentative. We were a party of six. We ordered drinks and appetizers. The mushroom egg roll was yummy the spicy wings were pleasantly crisp. We also enjoyed the cheese plate except for the bread which was too dense and didnt have much flavor. We decided to go next door and have tacos for our entrees. Our waiter was no where to be found so we asked the bus boy give my credit card to our waiter. The waiter came with out the check instead inquired to why we werent ordering. We asked if we could order tacos he said No. He brought us our check, which he included his tip and also charged us $56.00 for the tequila drinks we ordered to be made with Patron tequila. He said he didnt have any and then said my friend pointed to Don Julio which was on the drink menu list. My friend asked if it was similar to Partron and he said Yes. We said Don Julio is a sipping tequila you dont mix it with Grapefruit juice. He continued to say that what she ordered. We asked to speak to the manager she was unsympathetic, didnt say how can we make this situation better for everyone. Instead said she would not give us the waiters name because we should not be singling him out. My friends and I will not be celebrating any more birthdays at Inovasi!!! We went across the street to Maverys Pub and had the sweetest waitress.

DO NOT GO to this restaurant. I had done my due diligence and was swayed by the good reviews but was sorely disappointed. When I called ahead to make a mid-week lunch reservation and specifically asked for average wait times (as our team had meetings right after), I was assured there would be no problems. Unfortunately, we ended up waiting more than an hour and a half for lukewarm, weird-tasting food. With all due respect to Chef des Rosiers’ lofty sustainable, free-range menu, this meal was so sub par that I’d have felt better if he’d set the poor chickens free rather than subject them to such an embarrassing fate! The sirloin steak was no prize either. The waitress seemed totally clueless and never refilled our drinks or asked us for more bread, while we sat there starving in the half-empty dining room. When one of us finally complained to the hostess, she offered to comp us dessert, but by then, who had time? On top of everything, the miniscule portions still left us all hungry. I spent the rest of the day fielding ‘worst lunch experience I ever had’ complaints and jibes from my colleagues. Very embarrassing!! Will never go back!

Walk in, tell them you expect the best. They will deliver. Ive never been so confident in a 5 star review. I approached this restaurant with my own level of precocious expectations. At first I thought the server was aloof and an attractive. You turned out to be the most passionate descriptive invaluable Food Service person Ive ever had the pleasure receiving culinary expertise. From the start and knew the cocktails where above and beyond what I can expect at any bar. Not only were the ingredients superb but the type of liquor was thought out before hand to ensure that the ingredients met my palate needs a combination that perfectionperfection intended. Each coarse, whether steak, halibut, or vegetarian was painstakingly created to be the best possible experience. The price could be tripled and you would walk away mowing you had won. Bravo, and Bravo to the friends who introduced me to this find.

The three of us spent a wonderful evening in this restaurant. The "Tasting Menu" was excellent. A glass of wine with each course was also choosen by the chef. It was a pleasure. The server was a bit reserved at first, but we were able to infect her with our enthusiasm. The porc carpaccio was sliced way too thin. Five filmy slices of fillet are not enough for 3 people, to get even a taste on the tongue. And the portions were not alway easy to divide into three. For example: weve got 2 scoops of icecream for three people. I wonder how a portion would have looked for one person. I recommend the "Inovasi" both for business lunches or romantic dinners. You can sit outdoors and indoors. The chairs are comfortable. Too bad that the server was very busy texting and did not bother as we left.

I commute to Chicago each week for work and eat out way too often....HOWEVER..... When I go out with guests (quite frequently) I ALWAYS take them to Inovasi......The atmosphere is wonderful, the food is always unique and wonderfully tasty. The concept of Inovasi must be "Creatively prepared, great tasting food, served intimately and professionally". We always share several different entrees and desserts and are never disappointed....the owners obviously care that we are delighted each time we eat there. I refer everyone I know.... It is my new benchmark for other eating establishments. Terry Trickett

I have never written a review on a restaurant but this was such a bad experience it deserves notice. Sat down with my wife and waited for 10 minutes before I had to get up and ask someone to send over a waitress. Service continued to be bad, the setting was stark, too well lit and very cold. We hoped the food would salvage something for our evening but it was awful.....stunningly bad and it took way too long to be delivered to our table. General Mgr had no clue even though our waitress knew we were not pleased. How is this place even in business?? Zero stars is the correct rating.

The moment you step foot into the restaurant, you get treated to an amazing culinary experience. The menu is diverse and well thought out for different taste palates. I loved trying all the unique small plates and the freshness of the ingredients chosen from local farms was amazing. The waitstaff was friendly and knowledgeable and management came to our table to answer any questions we had about the food and restaurant philosophy. Im looking forward to coming back and try the new seasonal dishes.

This restaurant sucked. Its anything but "American" and the food is a conglomeration of 3rd world country crap. The cheese junk they serve with the bread tastes the way canned cat food smells. The waitress was very impersonal. The food definitely wasnt worth the bill. Golden corals all you can eat buffet makes better steaks than this place. But if youre a yuppy hipster with more money than brains and a dead pallet, youd probably fit right in here. Otherwise, order a pizza.

Inovasi brings a downtown culinary experience to the North Shore. The menu is exquisite. Every bite is an experience. The farm to table quality ingredients are showcased through unique combinations and artful presentation that can only be created by a passionate and inspired Chef. The atmosphere is stylish from the fireplace to the patio. Hospitality is top notch. A great neighborhood gathering place and also romantic for an evening out.

Always rude staff. Been here several times and most recently the waiter couldnt scurry away from the table fast enough. When asked about options on the menu we received a lot of "I dont knows" like we were bothering them. Food is good - bit expensive... but at least some good thought goes into the menu. If the staff was friendly, and perhaps liked to chat with their customers then maybe wed go back. Overall prententious place; so overrated.
