So me and my family went here to celebrate my birthday, since we have lots of people I make sure to call ahead of time to make sure we will have a seat/table when we get there.. I called FRIDAY afternoon to make a reservation for Sunday night. I ask the lady that i spoke in the phone if they take reservation, and she said yes. so I did. Sunday night came, me and my family get there only to find out that they dont do reservation, but instead they call it "call ahead" we waited over an hr to be seated, my two kids were starving. AFTER OVER AN HR OF WAITING WE FINALLY GOT TABLE, THEN WE GOT OUR FOOD OUR WAITRESS WAS OK, GOT OUR BILL THEY DID GIVE US A DISCOUNT THEY TOOK OFF THE KIDS MEAL, I DONT CARE ABOUT THE DISCOUNT. JUST NEXT TIME MAKE SURE TO TELL YOUR GUEST THAT YOU DONT DO RESERVATION, IF I KNEW ABOUT IT I WOULD HAVE NOT MADE THE RESERVATION. FOOD WAS GOOD BUT ALL IN ALL EXPERIENCE WAS NOT GREAT.. if you want to try this place and you have a big group of people? DONT DO IT.

The service at this place is ok for lunch, but not for dinner. We had three or four different people bringing stuff to our table and they werent communicating with one another, so we had missing items, extra items, and stuff like drink refills, that should have only taken a couple of minutes, taking 15 minutes (people usually like to have a drink WITH their meal, not AFTER). We asked for a second loaf of their tiny bread for our table of four, and it didnt arrive until after our meal, when we reminded the staff we were still waiting on it. The food here is overpriced cheap food. I ordered a 6oz sirloin that was 2oz of fat. Theirs no excuse for a place, that has the word "steak" in its moniker, to have such terrible cuts of meat. Chilis has an amazing sirloin and so does Texas Road House. If you want REAL steak and good service, avoid Outback in Gurnee, and go to one of the aformentioned places in my review. I still cant believe the amount we paid for this really crappy dinner.

Good selection of steaks. Not so good execution of cooking steaks. Took 45 minutes from the time I entered until my food was served. I told them to cook my sirloin steak medium rare. It came out medium well with no pink at all. The steak was cold too, just barely above room temperature. As I cut up my steak there were no juices coming out of it at all. The meat itself was fine. They way they cooked it was wrong. I also had a serving of fries with my meal. The fries came hot but they were soaked in grease to the point where every single one was droopy and squishy. I complained about the fries and they cooked another serving. These ones came out crunchy and quite good. Another person with me ordered tuna and it came out cold as well. I dont know if I just had bad luck but I dont think Ill be visiting again. If I order a $20 steak it should come out hot, juicy, and cooked right.

We have been regular customers. This place has really gone down-hill. After we received our drink order, the waitress told us "oh just so you know we are out of filet". I have always gotten the filet at this restaurant. I was not happy. How do you run out of a major and popular food item on a Sunday night? I compromised and ordered the house sirloin. Half the steak was edible and the other half was tough and gristly. They used to give you 2 sides with your steak meal now you only get one. They have obviously cheapened the steaks and cut out one side to keep their prices the same. I would rather pay a little more for good food. I wont be back and dont recommend this place if you want steak at a steakhouse.

Starting with drinks, I ordered a cup of coffee, the coffee arrived cold. Appetizers, fried mushrooms and blooming onion, both arrived dripping with oil. Dinner, tilapia with crab on top, tilapia was soso at best, and the crab meat on top was soposto be in a lemon butter sauce, tasted like a jar of mayonnaise. Girlfriend ordered a steak salad, salad was decent, crisp, steak on top was horrable, dried out, like it was a steak returned. The watress was really nice, checked on us often, but that does not make up for the sanitation and safety violations with there disgusting food. Will be making complaint to lake county health department.

There were 4 of us. Our server Nick was great however the food was below average, hence the 2 stars. The onion pedals and the shrimp on the barbie were insanely over seasoned to start. We ordered steak and tilapia. Middle of tilapia was still clear and undercooked, probably because it wasnt thawed long enough or just a horrible cook. Ordered steak medium and it came out rare. It was hard to chew and had no good taste whatsoever. None of us finished our food. The asparagus tasted like fat, oil, and bbq char from the grill, it wasnt pleasant. The mashed potatoes were good. Worst value that weve ever received for $100.

After a bed service experience at Joes Crab Shack we walked to Outback Steakhouse and laughingly told the hostess how we had to wait 20 minutes to be acknowledged to buy staff. The ladies here were more than happy to make the best out of our night. Our waitress Jen was very happy and very attentive. LOL she even have patience as one of our friends couldnt make a decision. In the end after a long day at Six Flags and a bed first experience for dinner we were happy to end the night with great food. Thanks for the Outback ladies for ending our night positively.

The last three times Ive been there havent been good, so Im finally writing this off of one of my favorite places. Everything is ala carte, overpriced and the portions are very small. The Bloomin onion is half the size it used to be. Our food had to be re-cooked a few times. The last time I was there, last month, our service wasnt good. Our waitress only came back once and that was at the end of the meal. For two adults and one child the bill was $100.00. We walked out of there still hungry and disappointed. The place has changed and I will not go back.

Every time I come here I am always greeted by friendly and mostly upbeat staff. I have never had an issue with any waiter or waitress. Food is always delicious and prompt. Miss their beer cheese pretzels, but there is plenty of other things to eat and wash it all down with a draft pint of Fosters. Waits can be long if you walk in, which is why I reserve through their app. Excellent prime rib, I like mine RARE. I get it that way every time I visit, and has never been over cooked.

Was put on the waitlist to receive a text when there was a table ready, Waited for 20 minutes, decided to go and check to see if any progress was made and they sat someone else in our place and couldnt seat us again for another 20 minutes. Claims they sent a text and received nothing. Not even a sorry from the guy at the door (blonde younger guy). Clearly didnt enter us into the waiting list correctly. Never coming back here.
