I tried to eat at the Northlake location on a sunny Sunday afternoon. We were quickly seated but it took our so called "waiter" 20 minutes to even acknowledge us. I made eye contact with him numerous times as he brought food to the tables around us, but he never once spoke to us. All he had to do was tell us he would be right with us and offer us some coffee as we waited. Instead, he waited until he saw us stand up to leave, and then he acted all surprised that we got tired of waiting for him. That tells me it is not unusual to get really bad service there. I myself will never go back to find out. I gave it 1 star because this app wont let be give it anything less.

Great food. My favorites are the 49ers Flapjacks and Strawberry Belgian Waffles. I considered giving them 4 stars because of the long waits like Saturday and Sunday morning, but its worth it. They also offer a $120 gift card for $100. If you eat here a lot, might as well save $20 by buying one for yourself. Updates: - Weve experimented with other places, but we always end up back here. - Regular french toast are much better than the Challah French Toast...I would not recommend the Challah. They feel more bready than typical french toast. - Definitely recommend Hash Browns with habanero cheese and pico de gallo

Two Words - Apple Pancakes! OK, to be fair, this place is a lot more than just the best Apple Pancakes in the world, but isnt that enough? Fresh-squeezed juice, a warm and cozy atmosphere, and having never really had a bad dish at the place make this my go to breakfast treat for friends visiting from out of town. Weekends can leave a line that extends out the door and wait times of 30 or more minutes, but getting there off-peak usually means a wait of just a few minutes. This place rocks!

Ive been going here since was a kid, and the food quality never disappoints. Get one of their signature dishes - Apple pancake (youll have enough too take home) or the Dutch baby (yummy lighter choice with lemon and powdered sugar). Though their potato pancakes are wonderful as is the corn beef hash Orange juice tastes fresh squeezed. Only downside is the coffee is terrible.

I completely realize that this is a chain and that doesnt always equal the best food but the vibe here is just great and I was very surprised at how good the food was. And our waiter was on top of everything. I would suggest going here if you are in the mood for brunch. My wife is gluten free and they have pancakes for her so thats a plus too.

Food was good. All 5 in our party liked the food. Its a bit pricey, about $13 for omelette. Tried going there on Sunday and they dont have you sign in with a hostess. You have to wait in line until its your turn and didnt see a place to sit and wait. Very inefficient. Maybe Highland Park location is different for waiting. Dont try at busy times

Their apple pancake is to die for. A definite should try. They also have delicious thick cut bacon that is one of my favs. They have an awesome omelet selections. If you like spicy definitely try the Santa fe. I also love their pancakes and waffles here. Definitely try the blueberry (my favs). dont forget to check specials.

This place is great. I would like to see some place that has food taste this good for breakfast. I dont think there is one near here. First come first serve. The prices are decent and the quantity is plentiful. The food comes out decently quick. The amount of people alone should tell you how good the place is.

Food taste good but portion could be bigger for the price you pay. It seems like the pancake size keeps getting smaller and smaller. For a family of four (2 kids under 7) we pay about $36 plus and this is basic food orders.....no extra sides. Used to rave about this place but its getting expensive!

Great service and food. However, the customers who come in by themselves, finish eating and continue to sit and consume a booth while reading the newspaper for another 30-45 minutes should not be allowed! This is the north shore of chicago so people are less considerate but I still have hope!

An excellent place to visit with your family or self for a great breakfast/brunch/lunch. We had a group of vegetarians and meat lovers in our group and everything that we ate was good. This place is great for vegetarians but is a tad bit expensive. Breakfast for 4 adults costed $65.

I love the food, but it was too crowded. There were only a few tables so I had to sit in a booth which was very cramped. It was also very hard to get in and out of due to my limited mobility. I enjoy the other larger Walker Bros. Restaurants better because of space.

I have never had an omelette as good as a Walker Bros omelette. Its so incredibly fluffy and delicious. Their coffee is unreasonably good (though I dislike the new mugs). Of all the breakfast places Ive been to across the country, Walker Bros is by far my favorite

Walker Bros is the best restaurant of all time. First of all the food is amazing. Anything you order will be delicous. The service is also phenomenonal and very fast. Its also a very nice sit down which I like. You better eat here! You will love it guaranteed

Ten of us went to Glenview restaurant -- great food and service -- the orders varied from Swedish pancakes, crepes, eggs benedict, the traditional apple pancake and more -- everyone loved their food -- would definitely go back --

Great pancakes, and usually always great. Long waits seem the usual. Tried something different and got the corned beef hash, turned out very bland. Next time I will only stick with pancakes, Apple pancake, or eggs Benedict.

Everything Ive had here has been awesome, especially the Blue Crab Benedict and the Bacon Lovers Breakfast. Would be nice if they had a few sandwiches or lunch options for those in the party that dont always want breakfast.

I love this place. I get a sugar high every time I come here. Its always busy on Sunday mornings but you can come in the evenings and have breakfast anytime which is great. Come to this place and youll forever be hooked.

Best breakfast/pancake house, hands down. You could live on the bacon and pancakes alone. Fast and friendly staff with a very consistent kitchen. Really, not a bad thing on the menu Always busy, but they move the line.

Everythings a la carte, over priced, and you dont get full. Who wants to pay $15 for food you can get at Jewel? TERRIBLE service, they do not care about their customers. Ive heard stories from other people as well.

They eliminated the wb combo from the menu to force the customers to pay more money. I wished only that in glenview we have another breakfast place to go and dont come in this place anymore but there are no option.

A go-to spot for really good breakfast. Be prepared to wait a while for a table. Their omelets are on point. The apple pancake is something theyre known for but its a dish to share with the whole table
