We normally go to a thai place in South Elgin but decided to try a different place. Story short, we will not be back. The food didnt look fresh and it didnt taste good. My wife had Pad See Eew and it was so so but she complained that the chicken didnt look like it was just made. It was dry and hard. My Pad Thai was terrible with all of the noodles dried up and clunked up together so that it was hard to eat. I ordered mine with chicken but for some reason there was tofu there as well. This leads me to believe that this was some leftover that they had from earlier that day or it was pre-made. Despite it being saturday night it was not busy at all with only 3 tables occupied. My sons chicken fried rice was also bland and didnt look fresh. He didnt finish all of it and we took it home but next day there was a horrible smell from the box and we threw it away. When we bring boxes home from other places you can keep it in the fridge for couple of days and it still tastes great. This one was horrible. We will not be back to this place again.

The Thai restaurant that stands above the rest in the Tri-Cities is Bangkok Thai at 119 State Street in Geneva. I love Thai food, and I have been to Bistro Thai in Geneva and Batavia, Vino Thai and Thai Zie in St. Charles, Thai Town II in Wasco and many others. Vino Thai and Thai Town are both very good, but Bangkok Thai is the place to go. The food is outstanding, and they offer fresh, authentic ingredients, such as Chinese broccoli and eggplant and Thai basil that the others either dont serve or seldom have available. Their curries are excellent, and they will make substitutions without adding extra charges. Considering how busy they always are, the service is great.

Bangkok Restaurant is honstely the best place for Thai food in the Tri-City area. Their food is a little bit different most thai places in the area, and there pahd thai is the best around. I used to work right down the street and I would have Thai at least twice a week. Ive tried every Thai restaruant in the area, and I only go to Bangkok unless they are too busy. You cant go wrong with Pahd Thai, Tum Yum, or Cashew Beef! Give it a try!

We have been going to this restaurant for years..Anytime we came in to see our Mom and Dad, off we would go to get our "Thai" fix. I live in California and I cant think of a Thai restaurant that compares to Vinas cooking. The extra love and attention she always gave my folks was always deeply appreciated. Love this place.

Favorite Geneva restaurant for 20+ years. We love the red chicken curry, chicken or shrimp fried rice, pork pad thai, chinese brocoli and chili chicken with cashews. Soups are also great. Spring rolls and satay are favorites. Friendly family staffs and runs the place. My mouth is watering as i write this review.

Food is really good! Personally I love their fried rice with beef. Portions are huge. Pahd Thai noodles gave me high acidity in my stomach, unfortunately. I believe it was the sauce. And I really dont like their interior. The restaurant looks like a soviet union canteen. They really should change it inside.

Ive been going to this family owned Thai restaurant for over 20 years, its that good. Its not fancy and not updated but none of that matters. The service and food are consistently good and the owners are warm and friendly people. When we go I feel like Im dining in my familys home. Bring your own bag.

I have been a lover of Bangkok since I was a child. I now live in Chicago, have tried dozens of thai restaurants and none have surpassed the taste and quality of this place. The pad thai and tom kha soup are my faves but everything is great.

I think they need to find their passion for why theyre running a restaurant. I dont think theyve invested any money in the place in the last 20 years. Same furnishings, same tables, same menu.

Fantastic food. Small intimate dinning area. The owners are so friendly and always smiling. Get for a date night or to just enjoy some delicious Thai food. Local gem there is no doubt

Have been to quite a few Thai restaurants between Elgin and Batavia and this little mom and pop place has the best flavor. Most places are very bland but not here.
