Open until late and opens bright and early. A bit crowded and drinks and food items can be a bit slow at times. Certainly a good spot for people watching. The most of the staff are friendly with regulars whereas the other are well not exactly what I expect as a Starbucks standard. Sometimes I wonder if everyday is a bad day for them. Bathroom is generally fairly "clean". Lots of different seating options but its often pretty busy so much of it is taken. You can reserve a table for a group and generally get it although sometimes they will kick people off a table that they forgot to post a reserved signage for. Cool wireless charging stations built into some of the tables. Its just off campus and in downtown which makes it easy to walk to or find a parking spot. it appears they have worked hard at changing things over the past year to make it better. Kudos!

It is a nicely upgraded store with many seating options, although it does get busy at times. The morning rush may seem overwhelming but the staffing is usually well-matched to the anticipated demand and the line moves quickly. The selection of clover coffee is large for those who like the reserve beans or like to have a different brew than that is currently in the drip offering. (For those that arent aware, the clover machine is a sort of upside-down French press that is automated...making it fast enough to brew any beans on demand instead of taking the time for a French press or pour-over.) Evanston has so many coffee shop options but I find myself coming here the most for convenience and consistency, friendly staff, and with the reserve coffees on the clover machine I dont feel like Im sacrificing quality at all.

Sad to say. But the quality of the staff here reflects what has become of our country of haves and have nots. These people are all so overqualified. I have never encountered such wonderful genuine servers in any other "dining" experience. Music is as eclectic as it gets, befitting its location and clientele. Setup is both intimate and conducive to groups as well. And then there is product, which consistency is remarkable. I am a real estate broker with a practice that extends through the greater Chicago area. So I can conclude by saying this: Out the 40 or so Chicago area Starbucks, I have patronized, this the best for overall cleanliness, seating arrangements, service, and consistency of product.

Im a grad student at Northwestern and I have been coming to this Starbucks for awhile now. This store is out of control. The service is bad at best... They are slow and a number of the baristas cant stop talking among themselves long enough to really get drinks made in an acceptable amount of time "correctly"!! The homeless people in the area are taking over, big homeless suitcases and bags, the "cup shaker" begging for change at the door, and the big mouthed Rabbai acting as if this is his personal office. Starbucks... this is one to shut down.

This location is extremely busy and always filled with Northwestern students. But, despite the steady crowd, the lines usually go quick and there usually isnt much more of a wait than normal. The bathrooms always seem to be cleaned and well maintained here. The tables arent always the cleanest, but the Starbucks employees dont seem to care until the end of the night is in sight. TIP: If you are looking for a quiet place to work head over to Cosi next door. They have Wi-Fi and are never as busy as this Starbucks.

This particular SBUX location is quite unique, almost boutique. Situated one block south of Northwestern University it can be crowded and still comfortable. The room is split into multiple defined spaces, each with its own character and social atmosphere. Being placed on the west side of the street its possible even on warm days to relax in their shaded outdoor seating. Great for people watching.

Product quality is average. The setup is clunky and obtuse, with tables placed to serve as a border for the ordering line. Too many tables for large groups and not nearly enough for the more frequent groups of 2-4. The staff is also inconsistent in regard to attitude. Theyre not always blatantly unfriendly, but when theyre in a bad mood you can tell its affecting all of them.

In my opinion, this is the best Starbucks. I have only been here early in the morning , the staff are so pleasant and helpful. They have "blonde" on tap instead of doing a pour over, which doesnt compare to the real thing. And the food choices , for me, have been fresh, delicious and the bananas were not bruised! They deserve 5 stars!

Its good if you order coffee. I mean. They are good at making all flovor coffee although my favorites are green tea Frappuccino and caramel macchiato. They brought me a very bananaish strawberry smoothie today and it did not taste like strawberry at all -- its banana smoothie lol. So lesson learned -- never order smoothie in starbucks.

One of the best Starbucks Ive been to. Its large and has a variety of seating options, and has better service than other locations. It is packed with Northwestern students to the point where it seems like a kind of extension of campus. Better atmosphere than any Starbucks downtown. I also saw Jerry Springer here one morning.

Ordered on my mobile and got there about 5 minutes later and my drinks were ready for pick up. They were also made well and filled up to the top. The place it self looks clean and big with extra space on the outside to sit and enjoy. In front is street parking. Will come back.

Service is fine, but the place feels very cramped---more so than the store in Manhattan next to Columbia University. On a quiet night, it can be relaxing to order a drink and sit outside to chat. Indoors, however, the atmosphere is not at all conducive to getting work done.

I love this Starbucks because its huge and has a nice variety of seating. The big, long tables are great when youre doing work and gotta spread out. This place is consistently crowded with Northwestern students and a million people on apple laptops, but its still good.

This is my favorite Starbucks, because i love watch all of the people walk by in the heart of beautiful downtown Evanston, IL. Almost everyday I bump into one of my friends or colleagues, which makes my life easier. Plus, I believe that location has the best coffee!!

Starbucks are starbucks the world over. This one has a very good vibe and better than average seating - multi-level cushioned chair seating and bar height work spaces in addition to the more traditional seating up front. Overall, it was good experience.

Great team in a university town. They can get extremely busy at times and it may seem like it takes forever but making a good Starbucks drink takes time. Ive never had a bad drink from this location and come in at least 3-4 times a week.

I was disappointed at the overall quality of the regular coffee. It was not even close to the other regular Starbucks. It just seemed like it had too much water. Will never go there again. Prefer the Pret a Manger across the street.
