This used to be my go-to place for thai food in Evanston. Recently, their quality has really been going down. They changed the portions on their lunch special without decreasing their prices. The pad thai also has no flavor anymore. It tasted like generic noodles in an oily sauce. Before, the flavor was complex, the peanuts were crunchy, the bean sprouts and carrots were abundant and fresh. Today, the crab rangoon I got were sitting in some kind of sauce that turned them soggy. And my pad thai was super bland. The fried egg was flavorless, there were very few carrots (compared to before), and the bean sprouts were limp. Also, somehow, the peanuts were soggy. I was super disappointed and couldnt finish because the oil was upsetting my stomach. I hate to be that harsh, but it was such a drastic and fast change that it had to be deliberate. I dont know what recent changes happened or if ownership was switched over, but its time for me to find a new thai restaurant.

Picked up a to-go of pad Thai and boba coconut tea for lunch. Clerk couldnt have been more annoyed to see me walk into the empty restaurant. Pad Thai looked really dry and unappetizing but turned out to be alright, very strong peanut flavor and a big enough serving size to feed two. Tapioca in the boba tea was either stale or not hydrated properly, was hard to chew, not very well blended either, separated instantly and I ended up drinking all the milk w/ all the ice left behind. But I guess thats what you get for $14 nowadays.

This place has one of my favorite Thai dishes, and it is so good here, which is the cashew chicken. My favorite thing about this place is the generous amount of fresh vegetables they mix in.
