This place has authentic Taiwanese and Korean food. I love their kimchi fried rice, spicy homemade tofu, and kung pao rice. Other entrees Ive gotten were just average, so I usually stick to those three options. The flavors can be a little intense for those not used to authentic Asian food. I regularly order delivery, which takes about 30 mins to an hour. Service was ok the couple of times Ive dined in - they have a system where you order at the counter and they serve the food to you. If you want real Asian food, I recommend this place over Joy Yees next door.

Courteous, quick, and pleasantly tasty. Had to wait a bit before being served but the staff were pretty occupied serving customers. But once we put in our order the service was quick. I got the beef noodle soup and chicken nuggets both of which were good but not anything exceptional. The soup (to me) wasnt flavorful enough but I really enjoyed the beef. It wasnt very spicy either especially if you love spicy food. Overall, it was a quick meal with little flair but still enjoyable. I would definitely come back again if Im craving Taiwanese.

This is the closest to Taiwanese food that I can find in Chicago. I took my parents here and they also love it. Whenever I get the craving for beef noodle soup, I always come here! They have Taiwanese breakfast on the weekend, yummy milk tea and other hot teas (date, longan, etc.). The "korean tacos" are pretty great too as are the pork chop dishes... it comes with the delicious Taiwanese pickled greens. This place is wonderful!

This place is absolutely amazing. The restaraunt is clean and beautiful, the food is great, and the service is nondescript. Taking a look at the menu, you are presented with many beautiful pictures of the eats. When you recieve your generous portions, they appear exactly as the menu presents, each and every item is extremely enticing. Over all, this restaraunt is definitely the best Taiwanese in Evanston.

I love this place. 527 has the best beef noodle soup in Evanston and most of the other dishes Ive tried have been fantastic. It always confuses me why this place is so empty compared to Joy Yee. Its true that Joy Yee has a menu 20X the size of 527 but the quality of the dishes here is so much higher for the most part. Highly recommended.

I wasnt very familiar with Taiwanese food until visiting this place. The pork and rice was delicious as was the popcorn chicken. Since its a café they also have a variety of interesting drinks. The interior space is modern and clean. It may be overshadowed being next door to Joy Yee but dont let that stop you from trying this place.

Its OK. I read some good reviews on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Its better than Joy Yee for sure because at least every dish tastes different. Service is fast, not like some people say on Yelp. The only drawback is the choice is limited, and they ran out of a lot of stuff when we placed the order.
