I had this insane idea about getting some Krispy Kreme Doughnuts today. I was planning on taking a couple of boxes over to my hubbys work and surprise him/office. I set my alarm for 6-- guess who didnt get up at that time?! My dumbbutt. Welp, my boys and I literally got in a car line on Devon. We sat in that traffic all the way to the window for exactly 2 hours and 22 minutes. I Tweeted about some dope literally cutting us off, so my hubby found out we were there. There goes the surprise. Oh well, but Im actually glad he found out, because he told me theres about 50 some people on the floor... Now I need to get about 8 dozen doughnuts. For the 80th Anniversary, you buy a dozen at regular price and the second, 4th, etc will be .80 cents. ANYWAY! Finally made it to the driveway and I let a gentleman in who turned left from Devon. I go to pay, because I have Ibotta and another app that gives money back. The cashier told me the man in front of me PAID for the whole order. That was OVER $40/50 in doughnuts!!!! So thank you SO MUCH, KIND GENTLEMAN!! Bless that man in the grey Subaru with the awesome decals (especially the orange turtle as my boys loved the one). I could NOT stop paying it forward. I took care of the car behind me and I hope she continued it. Also, the doughnuts are amazeballs. The cashier was super friendly, too. Keep your head up today KK employees!! You got this!

the boss and the boss of the boss...apparently, his name is Justin. I brought in a Groupon, thank God it was refundable. I had bought it 4 days earlier. The guy says, this has been used. I said no it has not. He says, yes it has. wtf. I asked him to speak with the boss. He says I am the boss. OMG. I asked him to speak with the area boss, DuPage County, whatever, he says he is that boss. He has no boss? I had already spent 5 munutes picking out my donuts and lemonade. Then I waited 5 or ten minutes while the guy who waited on me went and got this idiot. He didnt call anyone He didnt even try to fix it. It is just 10bucks and he lost a customer and I will be writing these all day. I am soooo mad. I had plans for the doughnuts and I was going to bring the frozen lemonade to my son who was working in the heat as a crossing guard. This guy doesnt even care. Low standards for Krispy Kreme. Oh..and the sign was lit up so I wanted the hot fresh ones and the girl says, we bake in the morning, I am not sure what he does with the signs. Cheater Cheater Pumpkin Eater. Quick, friendly service. Went late afternoon on a Sunday when the weather was beautiful so there werent too many people hanging out in the store. Most took their orders to go. The only disappointing part of the visit was that we arrived when the hot and fresh sign wasnt on. When it is you get to see the conveyor belt on and the whole production of glazed donuts being made. Its so cool to see hundreds... maybe thousands of donuts drop into the fryer, flip, then go through a waterfall of glaze. We experienced this on another occasion and we were able to buy a dozen right off the belt still warm. We ate half the box before I started the car. Off youve never seen this, I recommend calling in advance to see if production is on. You will not regret it.

Do people not realize that the glazed donut is the most wanted item on the menu??? and that this location makes all of the krispy kremes you see in illinois??? In walmart, jewel ect. this location provides all of those donuts you see in stores..... so yes, it is normal to NOT have glazed an hour before close. and as for the people that complain about no hot donuts all day long..... there are other donuts that need to be made as well (cake, jelly/custard filled, donut holes ect).... TIP baking hours are typically from 5:30am-7-7:30am and around 4pm in the afternoon. dont be mad because you chose a terrible time to come.

Dont visit here on a Saturday morning expecting friendly service or a good selection of donuts. The man in front of us waited 10 minutes before someone offered to help him. When he asked for a dozen glazed and 6 assorted, the employee rolled her eyes, didnt say two words and walked away. As she was getting his donuts, the next employee asked us what we needed and when we asked for 6 glazed and 6 assorted we received the same reaction, she rolled her eyes and asked what 6 we wanted. When we paid the man before us was still standing there with his daughter waiting for his donuts.

Nothing better than a hot fresh Krispy Kreme glazed donuts in the morning!! Their used to be a lot more Krispy Kreme locations all over the country, however some of them have closed down and are getting harder to find. Although I only eat here periodically because the donuts are not good for you! Their very fattening and loaded with sugar but Im sure you knew that! If youve never had a fresh Krispy Kreme donut from straight from the store I definitely recommend trying! So much better than getting one from the gas station where they have been sitting for a long time!

Today I was there at 4 pm could not get in parking lot Im handicap so while I was there waiting in line I went up on the curb and I fell and I busted my knee open my elbow and my hand I asked the guy at the register that was closest to the door there was a girl standing next to him and asked him if they had any Band-Aids or anything and also you could give me was napkins meanwhile sense I was in so much pain and still in pain I had to leave without getting my donuts real bad service and poor respect for help

The classic glazed donuts are amazing especially if you get them fresh while they are being made (there is a florescent sign in the window, if its on theyre currently making them) and since there dont seem to be many locations left this is quite the treat. Also if you come in while they are making them in the mornings and evenings, they will give you a free glazed donut right off the conveyor belt! Staff was fun and friendly, and gave me a free sample even though they werent making them at that moment.

I sadly dreamed about driving up north to get a fresh baked donuts for months. today was the magical day. its sad that they dont keep the donuts warm which would add so much to the fatning experience. But when I asked they gladly gave me the off the belt glazed donuts still warm, I swear they melted. thank you so much for the amazing employees, friendly funny and polite try there hot chocolate pretty good compared to other places which are water downed :)

We went to Krispy Kreme in Elk Grove today because it was the closest to Chicago. The donuts were as soft and melt in your mouth as I remember. But the flavor is off. It doesnt taste like the famous and delicious Krispy Kreme Doughnuts anymore. I guess its a good thing for me personally because now I will never again salvitate, and long for a much desired taste that only Krispy Kreme could satisfy. Thanks Krispy Kreme. My diet will remain safe.
