For some reason this Starbucks has terrible service. They get your order wrong and are surly about it. Lots of bad attitude going on here. You dont have to kiss the ring, but dont act like Im putting you out to do your job. If this were an independent shop it would have gone under by now. But they are coasting on the SBUX name. So, I usually avoid it and go to the Carribou, but that closed. And until Peets comes in, I will have to go this shop for my coffee fix. Get it together Starbucks...

This place is a dump. I used to live in Western Springs and loved their SBUX, but the one in Downers Grove is pathetic. It is the dirtiest Starbucks Ive ever seen. Probably doesnt help that theres a methadone clinic a few doors down. The cast of characters lurking in the shadows after taking their daily dose doesnt add to the atmosphere.

Slow service. I waited for 10 minutes for an iced tea while the barista slowly made drinks and discussed her health insurance with a customer. I was rudely told "oh well" when I asked about my drink because I was on a time constraint. Will not be returning and I have frequented this place for years.

was told to leave my SERVICE animal outside due to her lack of a service vest (which anyone can purchase online..) i provided her documentation id and was told it was not allowed. Made a HUGE complaint and will never be going back. At least the complaint number was happy to assist.

Every single time I come to this Starbucks there is always an insanely long time. With that being said, I think the incredible staff does a great job at keeping the line moving and customers smiling. Their bright personalities make it easy to forget your delayed caffeine fix.

All kinds of coffee ? With fancy names ugh bad bad bad way over priced too. Dont drink there better to wait for peets or stop in the train depot in the early am much better and real coffee no fancy names just good old java.

Not gonna lie. The baristas here are better in every way than the Starbucks by me. Worth stopping by on my way to the train station. Tiffany, and Kamil are my favorite. They are always so friendly.

Coffee always tastes burnt, constant mistakes on orders. If you want decent coffee, walk across the train tracks to another chain, or get a to go cup of brewed Intelligentsia from the egg harbor.
