Will not deny the ridiculously incredible sandwiches of this place. In fact I have been coming here for the past 3 years per the recommendation of my wifes friends 93 year old grandma. Well done Gma. Great little outdoor rooftop as well. My wife and I decided that it would be fun to play shuffle board one night(this night). In between the game, a glass broke, completely on accident. Although I was a little upset at my wife, I felt more compelled to speak with the gentleman who angrily came and told us our game was done with no other words as if we were some youthful college nobodies. Thank you OWNER for thinking we were so young. Cheers to you. I respectfully spoke with the bartender explaining that it was an accident, asking for forgiveness... who ended up being the owner only to tell us we had to leave and to close us out. Yes, there are blank spaces between the story but I can tell you I spoke respectfully to the staff (especially since both of my brothers work in lettuce entertain you restaurants.) and they wholeheartedly agreed with me. I am not one to step on anyones toes and I apologize if I did anything wrong...at all. I am sad that I once loved this place and recommended it as well, but I feel at this point since the owner, both of them basically told me there is no place for me and said they would not care if I have been going there for years, to suck it. Then I must say that I can not recommend this place. In the end, my 5 foot wife was scared to close out her check because she saw the way the owners handled the last situation. Ill give it to them...he was very sincere when handling her situation.... Garage, I hope that the attitude changes, I expect that you can serve who you want but wish this situation was handled differently. I am sure you will read this and say that guy sucked or group sucked but so hope out of respect, you wont. Cheers and wish you the best

Have been here a couple of times for late night drinks but this was the first time going for dinner. Decided to go upstairs to enjoy my dinner at the outside patio. Arrived upstairs, looked around for someone seat us only to be rudely greeted by Therese. She asked us how many, then before answering, told us there was a wait of 45 minutes. Ok, no problem. We noticed a table open and we inquired about it. With such attitude she said it was for people who had reserved and if we wanted we could be put on the list IF we wanted. At that point we decided we didnt want our money wasted on the rude waitresses that Garage chooses to hire. Also, this is not the first time weve had Therese and at that time, she was also very rude and didnt wait our table in a timely manner. Wont be coming back here again. Were done with the rudeness.

Decided to check out a neighborhood bar. Really laid back also has a rooftop. The waitresses were super friendly and took care of us all night. There was a huge group next to us but we were still taken care of. Now thats service! We got the 2 recommended dishes, the pretzel that was on Chicagos best and the macncheese empanadas. Good but not great. Id say try it for your self. If I went back I probably wouldnt get it again. The burger though! It was good, looked good, and tasted amazing. Drink selection is great all hand picked by the bartenders. Decent prices as well for a neighborhood place. Very clean and well taken care of. Overall had a great experience will come back again. Downside is street parking, which is typical for Chicago but not neighborhood bars.

Ive been coming here for well over 4 years now with friends and family members. We absolutely LOVE this neighborhood spot. They have a great selection of craft beers which Im still going down the list of tasting. Both bartenders and waitresses are super nice, cool and extremely helpful. By far, the best daily specials Ive seen around. Going there [again] tonight to watch Game 1 of the World Series!

I love coming here- the roof top is the best attraction. The staff has always been great, fast, and on point. The food is decent for bar food, a little on the greasy side but its better than the other bars in the area for sure. I live right down the block so Ive been here loads of times. Great bar!

The rooftop seating was great and atmospheric but me and my friends really did not appreciate our sever developing an attitude when some of us were not drinking and asked about non-alcoholic options. I guess she saw us being responsible for getting our drinking friends home safe as an annoyance.

The Garage does not deserve the 1star that I had to rate it. I have never experienced a less than welcoming establishment. I was astonished to learn the owner, Jesse, was the main culprit. With such rude owners I cant imagine that anyone could have an enjoyable experience here.

Great neighborhood place that we have enjoyed every week for over two years. Its very good bar food that changes occasionally and keeps it interesting. Also, a changing draught beer selection of great micro-brews.The owners and staff are always professional and fun.

Super slow service location was busy but simple appetizers took nearly 45 minutes... They did comp one appetizer for wait but it was a little unacceptable to wait that long and for 3.95 more than 4 very small bites of pork belly it was disappointing.

Awesome find! Went for lunch and had a great time. Service and food were very good. Lots of unique sandwiches in a fun setting. Only recommendation would be to avoid the pizza, but everything else was fantastic.

Giant Pretzel! and IT IS GIANT - can serve 4 easily. Get it as an app or get it to go. A great app to bring to the pot luck. Sandwiches are good too. Pass on the fries and stick with the chips!!

Great food, good service even when busy. Long bottled beer list, draft is short on local beers, which is what Id personally change if it were up to me. Will be back for more.
