+ Fresh ingredients + hot just-baked bread + Free WiFi - Price - Empty, echoey restaurant space Pockets isnt the best price in town, but its a decent price for what you get. They do an excellent salad (with a nice fresh loaf on the side) and a humongous calzone (with a ton of cheese, though some of it doesnt melt fully, so watch out if youre not a huge fan of cheese!). The biggest drawback of the place might just be its name. "Pockets" doesnt seem to do anything special with their namesake dish. (Question: Whats the difference between a pocket, and a salad with some bread on the side? Answer: A pocket comes with less salad, but more wilty-ness!). The idea of a lackluster pocket sandwich is actually the reason why I didnt come here for a year and change. But, they do make the rest of their menu well worth it. Its easy to skimp on the good stuff when making a calzone or a salad, but they dont seem to - lots of the toppings you order! Dont forget to order the fountain soda if youre dining in (its hidden). The fourth star is for the convenience (decent hours, order online, etc.) and the little touches - my salad came perfectly mixed, and my bread came hot and wrapped in foil. In all, I am *really* digging dinner here tonight.

How have I never been to a Pockets in the 8 1/2 years Ive been to Chicago. Have they always had make your own salad? LOVE! I always say I wish one of those existed and now I have one in my new neighborhood. I will be making my own salad a lot. I ordered a make my own salad and make my own calzone. Lunch and dinner. Perfect to split up and have for both. The salad was perfect. I got the mixed one with spinach, edamame, cranberries, oranges, feta and green peppers. The raspberry vinaigrette is yummy. Cant wait to get this all the time. The calzone was a treat. Ill normally stick to salads.

One of a few fast food joint Ive been to here in Chicago. Ive been looking around the area when I noticed this one because of its name, "Pockets". Im interested in it and what it has to offer so I went inside. Took a quick look at their menu and got myself a calzone and the Southwest pocket. Surprisingly enough, it was actually good. Nope. Much better than I expected. The flavor kinda sips into my mouth and the freshly baked bread makes it even better. Service is good here as well. Surely I wont forget this place.

When I came here to Chicago, the first place I went to start my food adventure was this place. It was recommended to me by a good friend and she said I should try the calzones and pockets. I must say, its unique in the looks department. The taste, well it is indeed DELICIOUS! Hot bread mixed with choice ingredients, what more can I ask? It was indeed worth it coming over this place. Now, this place is definitely on my top list. They are quite affordable too.

So I went to my aunts place in Chicago to pay a visit and have fun with the nephew and nieces. We went out for lunch and we ate here in Pockets. I kinda like the place already even though it was my first time here. The place is neat and has a good atmosphere. They have some really great food here. First time eating their pockets and Im already hooked to it! It was really delicious specially the southwest pocket.

Was hungry right after going around the area with my in-laws and decided to grab something to eat here. This place has quite an interesting dish... the pockets. Well, its not really that grand but the food is really delicious. The one thing I like about this place is the fast service. Probably faster than the usual fast food joint I have been before. Glad to have tried this place out first.

Was just around the area together with my cousin and decided to drop by here to grab something to eat. Well, it was sure something that I like. Inside was quite nice and clean. The sandwich we ordered here was really good and tasty. It was first time trying out their pockets and it was satisfying. Even got ourselves some yogurt after eating the sandwiches! Sure was a good combo indeed!

Pockets is really good. I always order online and the food is always on time with the receipt time. Ive never had a bad experience here and I love the Southwester Chicken Pocket. its definitely a lot of different things on the menu to choose from including the Turkey Chilli as well. I go here at least once a week if not more.

Up for something to eat in Chicago? Then you better try this place out! First time was with my sister and we both love the food here. Pockets and calzones were the top choices here and believe me, they are really good. Totally worth the time and money. Would love to come by here again on my next visit to Chicago.

I really loved the Original Turkey pocket that I ordered. The taste really sticks in your mouth. I came here during lunch together with a friend and she too loved it as well. The price is just right and it was all worth it. This is one of the places that I would definitely recommend to others and to my friends.

I like the calzone I had here. It was really good and delicious. Much more than I expected after my aunt described it to me. The location is a bit far from her place but it was worth it. Inside was clean and the service here is fast. Its a fast food joint that has a unique feel to it.

I guess I just dont get the concept. I got something that looked like the salad shakers from the SNL sketch from years ago. I wouldnt have minded if the pocket, chips, and drink didnt cost over $10. Meh.

Southwest pocket is great! The calzones are second to none here. One of a few places that I go to for lunch. The price is good and the place is neat. Service here is fast and you get your order real quick.
