I went with a group 15 people for a birthday. Food was so so and service was poor. The upsetting part was that the waitress was so concerned with collecting the bill that she didnt even bring a cup cake so we could sing happy birthday. When I complained to a man who said he was the owner I was told he woukd make it up to us "next time"! As far as I am concerned there will never be a next time for our group and if this restaurant goes out of business perhaps then the owner will understand what it is like to be forgotten.

Ive tried the Mecca twice. I REALLY want to like the place because the vibe is so cool. Think wood panelled North Woods supper club. The staff seems nice. Unfortunately, the food just isnt that good. Ive ordered a steak both times. First time the meat tasted off. The second time, the meat had no flavor at all. My advice...go for a drink at the cool looking bar. Eat dinner somewhere else.

New owner. Would not honor a Restaurant. Com coupon that I had purchased. Waitress rude. Told us as she walked up to our table that the coupon will not be honored before she even greeted us. As she spoke to us in a very unfriendly manner, she held her hands on top of our water carafe, gross!! We left . Will not return.

The six course dinner was amazing. Surprisingly large portions (several bites), and each dish was beyond anything I expected. I left very happy & full. Definitely worth the price. Intimate atmosphere, "dinner party" vibe. It is also BYOB. I recommend it to anyone looking for a unique experience.

Huge shout out to the bartender. A couple of us showed up late one Tuesday. We all had several drinks and they kept getting better and better with each one. The bartender came by and chatted with us. We did not order any food. Perhaps next time around. Will definitely return.

Dont let the motif scare you away !!! The fish is out of this world !! All you can eat blue gill on Friday and Saturday night !!! The owner Kevin is awesome and treats every customer like family !!!! Wednesday night is open mike night a TRUE jam session !!! Try it out !!!

Food is good had poor service and had to be 82 degrees in restaraunt. Some girl tried to bs me about poor insulation. Im a contractor and she looked like a fool. Small place and could cool of in about ten minutes. Be honest and carma will be good in return.

Love this place. We order takeout, order delivery,eat there and go for drinks and it has always been great. We go often for the sunday brunch and the Bacon and the bloody Mary bar is the best.

You really feel like youre in a northwoods supper club. Love the rustic decor. Only better walleye was 600 miles north of here. But that place was full of Viking fans.
