Went here to try the submarine sandwiches because of other reviews I read on Yelp. Thanks everyone for the recommendation. The outside is misleading and easy to miss. It is in back and connected to a large liquor store that is right on the corner. This sandwich shop is right across the street from Humboldt Park, so there is free parking there. You can sit inside at the bar or at tables, plus they do have sidewalk tables. The sandwiches are large and they dont skimp on meat like a lot of other places. We tried the Beast and the Blvd. All the ingredients were fresh, in fact I could not finish my sandwich and brought half of it home. Its a nice neighborhood place to grab a beer and a sandwich and watch the Cubs play on the big screen TV. A nice change from the Spanish food purchase the food trucks across the street in Humboldt Park.

This place is a little treasure. The sandwich ingredients are familiar and that makes me happy. I went off menu and made mine custom and it was terrific. The bread is simultaneously crunchy and chewy, perfect for a sub in my opinion. The waitress was friendly and the sandwich maker was too. The adjoining liquor store was a major plus, they pack a lot of variety in a compact footprint.

This place is a class act!! Great sandwhichs at a great price. Potato salad is delicious. Grab a bag of kettle chips, soda or a beer while you wait on your fulfilling meal. These sandwhichs really do hit the spot!
