I had a terrible experience at this location. I came over with my two kids and were so happy to have a bite after going there for years. I ordered my sandwich and my teenager son followed. When I moved over to tell them what toppings I wanted an employee there yelled at me "WHAT ARE YOU HAVINGGGG!!! and then I replied, Excuse me?, she came back even louder "WHATTT ARE YOU HAVINGGGGG!!!???. My blood started to boil, but asked my son to finish up dealing with this person and I moved over to the cashier to pay. This african american woman with freckles and full bodied appeareance, continued to challenge me with her sight as she was preparing the sandwiches in a very bad manner. As she finished fixing the last sandwich she wrapped it up and next, she threw the sandwich literally like a quarterback and the sandwich landed on the narrow shelf they have. I lost control. I dont feel that anyone should put up with this nasty behavior. I warn you, dont go to this location or you may experience an encounter with this animal.

Totally incompetent staff. Clearly the Varsity Serving Team not on duty on Sunday. Ordered two basic sandwiches from their board menu. One Biggie, One Regular. No add-ons, no specials, nothing out of the ordinary. Did not get the size right so someone in the group got no lunch. Person in line in front of me had to be called back after leaving the shop, they had goofed up their order. Normally a good value, but this is a sandwich shop, for goodness sake. Tons of competition in the area. If you go, stand on top of them and make certain you get what you order.

Favorite sandwich place in Evanston by a long shot. I dont live in Evanston anymore, but I go to Potbellys any chance I can get. Get The Wreck sandwich. Its salami, roast beef, turkey, ham and swiss cheese. When toasted with some peppers and tomatoes, its a super delicious sandwich with each bite. I always end each meal with their oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. Not sure what makes them so good, but its a great balance of baked chewiness. Their shakes are also really good--especially the Oreo shake--but that might be overkill to have at every meal.

On one hand it is kind of incredible how many times a week/month I eat here and how my coworkers are usually there just as frequently. On the other, the sandwiches are really good, if a bit bread heavy. The value is high. The cookies are amazing. And with online ordering its super easy to just skip the line and go to the front. So many it isnt that incredible after all.

I order a lot of lunches for work and Potbelly never lets me down. This location has been great for same day orders, large or small. I have to order tax exempt and Jacquie the Catering Coordinator was a huge help. She took care of applying the tax exempt status and was extremely professional!

Wendy i believe is the manager there. She was very accommodating with a small problem we encounterd ordering online. She fixed the situation and was more then pleasant while doing it(even though the mistake was ours). We have been customers here for a while now, this will keep us coming.

Food is always good. I usually get the A-Wreck without hot peppers. I wish they had more choices for sides. Like a small side salad for carotts or fruit. I have never had any problems with Potbellys and suggest that you eat there if you are looking for a sandwich

Some of the best sandwiches around! Love this place! I always like to get their cookies for a snack later in the day. Dont always like everything hot, so make sure if you want a cold sandwich you let them know. Quality is superb and the staff fantastic.

Potbellys never dissapoints! Their food is always amazing and the service is always, and i do mean always great even at 9:50 at night right before they close ! They beat Subway by a long shot! i will always visit Pot Bellys for all of ym sandwich needs!

I like how they are all about Evanston here--historical pictures and memorabilia all around. The sandwiches are like the other locations, and the service is okay. Some people seem like they dont want to be there, as if theyre doing you a favor.

Potbelly is a gourmet sandwich store. Any one visiting Chicago should stop by and get a sandwich. The signature sandwich is a Wreck! They also have handmade milkshakes which I would recommend getting! The oreo strawberry is to die for!

Potbelly has declined in quality as their size has increased. The veggie option was never that exciting, and the breads never been very good. Now that the sandwich has broken the $5 level, Ive stopped going.
