The robots are in control. I was out with a group of three friends Friday evening , grabbing a drink before deciding on a neighborhood restaurant. We decided on Corridor Brewery & Provisions, having heard above average reviews, since it was only 2 blocks away. So, I snuck out and walked down the street to put in my name for a reservation at Corridor. Simple process, as they took my phone number, and told me they would text me as soon as the table was available. Estimated about one hour, and said I would receive a text message as soon as the table was ready. Upon receiving that text, I was told I would have 10 minutes to check in, or the reservation would be automatically canceled. Seemed reasonable. One hour and two minutes later, I received a text message saying that the table was ready. It also requested that I respond to the text message with the number "1" to confirm the reservation. I did that immediately, and we all put on our coats, paid our tab, and headed in the direction of Corridor(2 blocks). We arrived at Corridor a few minutes later, and waited patiently as the hostess took reservations for newly arrived customers. Once at the podium to check in, she politely apologized that I missed the 10 minute window, and our table was no longer available. I laughed, and said that Id been in line for a few minutes, but was easily inside the restaurant within the 10 minute window. I pulled out my phone, showing her the text message I received 11 1/2 minutes earlier. She reiterated that her iPad showed I had missed the window, and that was how the, "system" works. Nothing could be done. I laughed again, and asked to speak with the manager, knowing there would be a simple remedy. I was wrong. The manager responded with the exact same answer, that everything is controlled by the iPad; there was nothing he could do. I laughed again, this time slightly louder. Our only option was to resubmit our reservation, and be put at the back of the line, which was now a two hour wait. Wow. A manager that cannot overrule an iPad. I asked where the logic was in this whole, "system"? He was powerless against it. Ridiculous. Hopefully the chefs are permitted more creativity/freedom than the powerless, meaningless, people-pleaser out front. If the kitchen is controlled by the same fleet of iPads, they will be serving memory chips, with a silicon dipping sauce, in the very near future. A manager cannot overrule an iPad. Simply shocking. Anyway, not going back. Most ridiculous thing Ive ever experienced in a restaurant. The robots are in control.

We have heard good things about this place so we decided to try it. Honestly it was just very disappointing. The service was some of the worst I have encountered in awhile. I ordered a pizza without one of the ingredients listed on the menu, the waitress said no problem. After about 40 min my pizza arrives covered in what I requested be left off. "Mistakes happen no big deal, Ill just tell my waitress and get it corrected"...wait where is my waitress?" She finally showed up after the hostess had to go to the back to look for her twice on my request and after she visited multiple tables on the way to ours. The people I was with were half finished with their meals. After apologizing she said she would get it corrected. Fast forward about 30min, still no pizza, everyone else have finished their meals. The manager (I assume) offered me a beer, I said no thanks, but getting my meal would be great. I finally get the pizza and eat half and request the check. The check comes quickly (shock) we try to pay...again no waitress. I had to go inside and speak with the hostess yet again just to try to pay for my meal. In this situation it would be nice to offer some discount for our troubles. On the plus side the hostess was very nice, the food was decent. However, due to the service alone I wont be back or be able to recommend it to my friends.

Overall: Solid experience with good brews, cocktails, and upscale food. The good: Most importantly, the beer is really good. Ive been to DryHop, their partner/owner brew, and I personally enjoy Corridors beer more. They have cocktails too which some friends enjoyed. The food is also really good, the chorizo pizza and cauliflower curds were both amazing. Service was also very friendly and attentive. Atmosphere is a mix of brick, wood, bike-y, warehouse kind of feel, which is very cool. The not-so-good: Food is a little expensive. Definitely left with a bigger bill than expected. Wish they wouldve had a bigger selection of beers. Atmosphere: 9/10 Service: 9/10 Food: 8/10

Definitely expect an hour wait on a Saturday, but the beer is decent and the food is good too. Service is OK, and the atmosphere is nice. Bathroom is small (only one stall and urinal). Tuna sandwich was solid and came with hand cut fries and belgian dip (mayonnaise + mustard) and was very good. Mussels were also excellent. Flat bread was OK (crispy but not cheesy or saucy enough) and was a great size (large enough to be shared between two small women). Will definitely be back.

Corridor should be on every tourists list of go to places in Chi-Town. Food was excellent and the beers scream experimental. At the time I visited in late May 2017 they had a beer on tap featuring Hawaiin punch as an ingredient......odd choice of ingredient, but tasted pretty good! This brewery has a sister only a mile away or so. You better believe my compatriot and I went to the both on the same night ;p

Sister BrewPub to DryHop Brewers, this wonderful little gem in the heart of Southport Corridor will without a doubt, steal your heart. The food is delicious and the beer is even better. My favorite items so far include the Cauliflower & Curds and the Red Curry Mussels. If you love beer and great food, this will definitely become a staple in your Chicago restaurant arsenal!!!

Wait was a little crazy but the food and beer were excellent. Also the PL Clemens drink was pretty amazing. It was like a walnut maple-y old fashioned. The burger was great with bacon and the mushroom, arugula and goat cheese pizza was very savory. I would totally go back.

We ordered mussels and they came out cold, so we asked for another order. The chef brought out another order, but it was the same dish we had just sent back. He nuked it in the microwave. Brutal. Beer wasnt that great either. A must miss.

One of those restaurants that you can order anything and it is always delicious. The Spanish Chorizo pizza and various mussels are stand outs. Of course this is a Brewery so the beer is great. There are 6 rotating drafts to try.

Average food, with the French Fries being an exception. Food is priced higher than average when compared to nearby competitors with better food. Great beer, and its priced fairly. Average service.

Bartender Pete (maybe Paul, Im horrible with names) was very friendly and knowledgeable. Brussels sprouts and chorizo pizza was very good. The Porter and the double IPA were very good, too.

My favorite new brewery in Chicago. Great beer, food, ambiance and service. Roger, the head brewer is, friendly and really seems to enjoy talking to customers. Hes a class act.
