This is a reliably friendly, good-value family restaurant on Route 173. They recently remodeled and repainted; the new decor is slightly upscale from the previous and very pleasant. The menu has many good values, and for carb-conscious persons, it is possible to get a good meal without a lot of sugar or starch. Everything has always been hot, promptly served, and very tasty.

Busy here on a Saturday morning. The staff is not not overly welcoming, and did nothing to stand out, but were not rude by any means. There is quite a large menu to order, and they do a good job of keeping coffee cups filled and we did not have to wait long for our order. We ordered pancakes, which were very tasty. Would return and recommend to others.

Breakfast is ok but everything is made from cans or packets. Dinners remind me of hospital food (bland and frozen then reheated) packet gravies, canned vegetables. .. terrible. .. if you cant make real sausage gravy then take it off the menu! Stick with what you can make fresh and from scratch

Boone County Family Restaurant is the type of place I used to eat at all the time when I was younger. Its a wonderful family owned kind of place that serves food youd make at home. Their portions are decent and prices are reasonable. They also offer carry out.
