We stopped at the Friendship House family restaurant during my familys short vacation to the area and we were very impressed, most of all with the service. Though you wouldnt guess it from the exterior, the inside has much of a cafe-style feel, perhaps lacking in color/decor. The dinner entrée selection is mostly "homestyle" (mostly battered and fried - I went with the ribs (very meaty as far as ribs go) and breaded shrimp combo), with some Italian choices - all inexpensively priced. But what this restaurant perhaps lacks in culinary creativity and interior decorating, it makes up for in service - at least in our unique experience. The younger of our 2 boys, an energetic 3-year-old, is not the easiest to take out to eat. We would expect to be hurried out in most places, but it was quite the contrary here. For starters, our waitress knew to bring out the kids milks with their meals. When our little one spilled his water into his lap, we were amazed when the manager offered to run home and grab a change of clothes for him! Wow. And the busboy was on-the-spot with keeping our waters and coffees constantly refilled. We happily left a 50% tip.

One of my favorite places to go when I am visiting my vacation home. My favorite things to get are simple soup and salad. Their chicken dumpling soup is so good! I crave it when I go home. They also have delicious dinner bread. Their buffalo chicken wrap is pretty good too! The staff is always super friendly and efficient. Drinks are always filled and food is out quickly. Definitely would recommend!

Not a bad place to stop by for classics like French toast, omelette or something else. They have fritters and crepes, which is unique. Portions and prices were excellent. We are from the Twin Cities so we know we are spoiled. For the area this is a 5 out of 5. Veggies for the egg dishes are fresh and not canned. Eggs done the way they are supposed to be. Would stop again.

I was on vacation to Eagle River, and came here with my family....what a wide selection!! We loved the Fried Cheese Curds, and our waitress was very attentive. Good soup! The place was busy, so I imagine that they have regulars that keep coming back....which is a good sign that the food is always good. Ill be back next year....Thanks!

We went here because it had over 4 stars however the food was bland and the service was subpar. The most flavorful part of my alpine burger was the pickles that came on the side. Even the bacon was bland which I dont understand how thats even possible but this place managed it. Steer clear unless you enjoy bland food.

Ordered ribs and Im pretty sure they just put frozen microwaved meat in between fake bones (the ones where white, cooked ribs the bones are more grey from meat being cooked) with sauce on it. The waiter also made a pretty offensive joke to me. The place also looked like the decor was from a hospital.

Low brow sit-down dining. The friendship house franchise is always a great option in the Northern Wisconsin area. You can get a decent meal for around 10 bucks. Its not a steakhouse or fine dining experience but great for lunch or a cheap dinner.

Ive been coming here for years upon years, and had a great experience every time. Amazing food, whether its breakfast or lunch! Wonderful people, both patrons and servers! I would definitely recommend Friendship!
