This may have been the worst sushi experience I have ever had. The sushi arrived to our table as though it was squished together in the hands of a toddler, and the order for Ikira (Caviar) was spoiled or extremely poor quality, the taste was sour and way over salted. When I informed the waitress of our experience she did not offer any sort of compensation but just handed us the bill. Only when we refused to pay for the spoiled sushi did she remove one of the Ikra rolls; in order for her to remove both of the rolls from our bill, I had to clarify that the sushi was so terrible that I had spit out the first roll into a napkin and did not eat the second roll. After paying the bill I requested to speak to a manager, and was told: "No, we dont do things like this." The waitress than said she would pass on our dissatisfied feedback... Since I knew that an interested manager would probably not ever hear my feedback, I demanded a phone number. I was than directed to the owner of the restaurant. After explaining my terrible experience to the owner, he did not seem to acknowledge that his establishment had provided less than poor service, but did offer an impassive apology. In short and realizing that everyone is entitled to a bad day... If you would like to enjoy a nice sushi dinner, it may behoove to check out another place.

There is nothing special about the food and the service was very slow even tough there was hardly anyone in the place. We had to flag down the waitress for pop refills. They changed $1 for every refill. We paid with a credit card, but left a cash tip. We had left the restaurant, but were standing out front saying our goodbyes to the people we dined with and the a waitress (not even the one that served us) came running out saying we did not leave a tip. I told her yes that I left a $20 bill in the black folder thing and she said it might have been thrown in the trash. Not sure what she wanted us to do about that. She went back inside only to come back out and tell us she could not find the tip. We were finally just like.. whatever, we tipped and ignored her. Very uncomfortable situation. The service was not worth a $20 tip, but we left the proper amount anyway only to be treated like we skipped out on paying for the entire dinner. Finally the waitress went back inside again and came out and told us she found the twenty in her pocket. Whatever.. dont waste your time or your money.

Hate to say, but I had come here quite often but these past few years, it seems this place has just become another place for Korean gathering where you just feel very UNCOMFORTABLE because of it as they just squat there with mean eyes. The owner, obviously is a Korean, but is a very good person. Just the customers as written above are just terrible making a bad atmosphere. Its just disappointing another place just gone bad.

I usually never write reviews, but I had to for this restaurant! Their sushi is by far the best in the area. The dragon roll, spicy tuna rolls are my favorites. And the chef always cuts the sushi into thick yummy pieces! Their regular entrees are amazing as well, the nabeyaki udon is amazing and the donkatsu is also to die for.

Some of the best sushi iv ever had, however, the rolls are a little smaller than most and still just as expensive, if not a little more. As well, it is common to order then wait around 45 min to an hour+ for your food. Ex. Takout tonight was going to take an hour and half to be ready

Had the Boston maki, chicken yakitori, and chicken teriyaki. All of these were absolutely amazing, but we went on a slow day (were the only people there). When we came back on a crowded day, the food was still good but not amazing. Go on less busy times and enjoy the stellar food!

The service may be slow, but the quality and taste are worth the wait. No place else has a California roll that is half real crab mixed with Japanese mayo—delicious! And I echo the other comment about the best spicy tuna roll. All their food is very fresh.

Just had dinner there. Food was delicious and service was excellent. Scallops in special spicy hot sauce was very tasty and the beef Teriyaki was nice too. I tried the red bean ice cream and thought it was different but good.

I have been eating Sagano sushi since I was 8 years old. I am turning 26 this year, and I have loved this place always! Mr. Lee does a phenomenal job and no other sushi tastes nearly as good to me :)

One of the best sushi restaurants around if you dont care about how the sushi looks lol. The owner is the chef and works alone so he throws it together a little hastily, but it tastes great!
