I have never delt with such ignorance in my life! My daughter worked for this establishment and I heard nothing but complaints...being that my daughter was only 18 I assumed that she was just being a typical teenager. BOY WAS I MISTAKEN! the owner Al is an arrogant idiot that does not know how to run a business! My daughter deposited her check in her account and it was returned as non sufficient funds and the bank closed her account saying that the check was fraudulent and if that wasnt bad enough Al the owner told them to take the checks to cash it at his bank so she did a day later. When she called her bank to explain what happened they told her to have her employer call and verify what happened he did and told her bank that she was trying to cash the check twice and that she was trying to get over on them! When I went to Shimpys to try to get everything straighten out he was rude and unprofessional...if he handles his employees like this just imagine how he handles his day to day business. Its just sad. Im sure his true colors will come shining through to his customers! I would never suggest anyone to try or go near this restaurant!!!!!

I have driven by this place many times and tonight I decided to finally check out the food. I drive up to the menu at the drive thru and the price says $8.99 for the fried shrimp dinner so I ordered, then she told me it was $9.99 with a unprofessional and cold attitude, and when I pushed back on the price as she told me they had not changed the menu prices yet. I already feel like I am being scammed and I reluctantly proceed anyway. When I go to pay I told her you guys need to update the prices because that is not good to change the price after ordering, with the same bad attitude she said sorry about that, I also mentioned I hope the food is really good or I will not be coming back, with no response she closed the window. After waiting for about 5 mins or so, I was asked to pull forward and wait for the food another 4-5 mins. The shrimp was just ok, the fries were hard and not cooked through, the dipping sauces were half full and not enough for the shrimp, the customer service was horrible. Needless to say I will not be returning, and no one seemed to care.

My fiancée and I went to Shrimpy’s yesterday for lunch right when they opened. This location provides authentic Cajun seafood cuisine, which is a delight to any fans of New Orleans cuisine. Upon arrival, their courteous staff greeted us, and explained their menu after we advised it was our first time at their location. A majority of the food choices do not have prices on them; it appears they did at one point, but they were all blacked out and replaced with “Market Value”. The staff advised that their food is freshly caught and never frozen, so this would explain fluctuating prices. We ordered shrimp and fish baskets, and the price was very fair for the value of the meal. We waited about 10 minutes for our food (it appears all food is cooked to order), and it was indeed worth the wait. The food quality, from the seafood itself to the breading, was outstanding and very flavorful. I would definitely recommend this food if you are a fan of seafood, Cajun, and/or spicy food.

If you walk in and dont see the owner. Walk out. I love the food here when the owner cooks it hes phenomenal. He always has crappy help and its sad to see nobody cares about his restaurant like he does. Im writing this review as I sit without a drink. Im hot and thirsty, and Im on break for work. Im not going to sit at a booth and wait for a drink. He literally has cups sitting out by the drink machine ready to be filled, and Im thirsty as hell. After getting my food I smell a fishy smell like the shrimp were left out. My fries are cold, and my shrimp are flat. This is the Sunday before Memorial Day. If you read this review Mr. Owner please find a better chef replacement, because its hard to match your careful precision and soul you put into your food. I regret eating here without you in the kitchen. And wow I dont even think the guy cleaned the shrimp. Theyre not butterflied.

At Shrimpys. ok I always wait for a bit when i see a new restaurant. Man sure wish I hadnt. The shrimp is served New Orleans at its best. Spill it out in the tray, pour it on the table eat it your way. The Catfish was piping hot and tender and juicy fried right. The okra was incredible. Everything here is made fresh and you get your money worth. The staff are very knowledgable about seafood in its entirety. The atmosphere is fun, friendly, southern hospitality. I feel like Im home in the bayou. Restaurant is kept clean, the food is hot, and the staff couldnt be more inviting. El is an amazing man at this southern style, cajun, joint. Plenty of choices, seasonings, and seafood options.

Food was not bad, but the service killed the rating for us. We could tell some of the employees were working hard, but not even close to efficient. The people who were working hard were mired by the employees who were dragging it down by apparent lack luster job interest. Also, way too many menus with all the same items. No need for 3 different special of the day menus. Not necessary, confusing to the customers and possibly some of the staff as they seemed undertrained and un-enthused to be there. We will not be returning, which is a shame because the food was unique for the chain riddled area. Concerned it wont last long.

Stopped by in there tonight, and it was the first snow fall, so place was at ease, been waitting to try sense the day they opened. Ill tell you what, I asked a question the ower came out and explained in detail how the fish, shirmp, and how it was fresh, and made. 3 meals, time was under 17 mins, and took it to go, needless to say, amazing. Perch, shrimp, fries and another shrimp dinner, Ill tell you what find another place in the Chicago land suburbs or close by that can even come close, great job....NO MORE LAWRENCES FISH FOR ME. I rather wait for great food then have it rushed and taste like S**t....thnk you....

It was around closing time and my friend (venessa) and I had just got off work. We wanted some amazing sea food an boy did we get! She called in the order for it be ready an it was by the time we got there. But I was just so surprised that the employees were still very nice an welcoming! Even though we came when they were closing because I know how annoying it can be! An I hated to be one of those customers. So I wanted to say thank you for being so welcoming and serving us some amazing sea food I will definitely be coming back!

This place was not a good sea food place.They do not have any proper customer service. These people do not know how to run a restraunt. She wasnt explaining correctly about my order and the most important thing is that the cashier was not attending me.Place is pretty expensive. Their treatment was quiet discriminating which I didnt like.This place deserves 0 stars. I hate this place. I dont think we are going there ever again. By force Im posting one star bcoz its not letting me to post. It doesnt deserve any star.
