Yesterday was our anniversary and we wanted to go to Texas Roadhouse just built near here, but lines were really long so we decided to stop by very much less busy Outback. We were quickly seated and that is about the only good thing that happened. We arrived at 6:05pm and did not get our bread till 6:20pm, to which they then took our order. We than proceeded to wait.....and wait...I did eventually get my soup around 6:30pm....and then waited and waited....and waited some more. FINALLY 6:51pm a full , 45 minutes after arriving our food was delivered. My 9oz sirloin was done rare even though I asked for medium rare, had no spices on it, and had a horrible "slab of meat" taste to it. My wifes cheese fries had very little cheese on them, might as well called them "fries with a dash of cheese". We had to then track down our waitress that we were unsatisfied. 5 or so minutes later, after listening the manager having to talk to two other sets of couples who were unhappy, it was our turn to speak to him. He was polite...polite enough to call me a liar. I told him it took us 50 minutes to get our food and he basically said "it couldnt have been more than 15 minutes", I told him the precise times we had arrived and ordered our food but he insisted it wasnt more than 15 minutes. He than proceeded to see if I wanted my meal replaced, which I declined because I wasnt going to wait another 45 minutes when I needed to get my mother-in-laws to pick up my young children. The manager did knock the price of the streak off, but not the "cheese fries" and I ended up paying $9 for something that I could have made at home for $5. After talking with the manager, we informed him that we were done and wanted our check, which took another 5-10 minutes to get from them. And it gets better...this is the SECOND time this has happened here(long waits, unattentive waitress, poor food). We will never return to this place ever again. So after we picked up our kids, I proceeded home on an empty stomach and had a donut from Winco when I got home, which had more flavor and some might argue was a lot better "meal" than that so called steak. In the time it took for us to get our meal, we should have just waited over at Texas Roadhouse, whom I have never been dissatisfied with their service, food, and atmosphere.

My fiancé and I went there for dinner. We have always had a great experience in the past. On the night of 2/11/17 we went there to find there was a 35-45 minute wait. We were given a buzzer and sat at a table near the bar to wait for a table. I ordered a beer for myself and a glass of wine for my fiancé. While sitting there we noticed an empty table. As time went on the manager came over and asked what the bobblehead was about. We were both confused about the comment. I told her we were waiting for a table. She went to check and we were told it would be just a few more minutes. My fiancé asked why the empty table had been sitting for so long. The manager said "she was keeping it empty because she didnt want her waitress to be too overwhelmed." We continued to wait. I thought to myself and wondered how many other tables were empty for the same reason as many other people waited to be seated. About that time the buzzer went off and we were seated at a table. Our waitress took our order and we asked her for another beer and a glass of wine. She brought our salads and just as we were finishing them the manager approached our table. She asked me who was driving? I asked her why she was asking. She stated they just check every now and then and she turned around and walked away. Then the bartender finally brought our second drink of the night. As I sat there and thought about what had just happened I could not believe this had happened after just one drink. I told the waitress I would pay for what we had eaten and the one drink. I no longer wanted to eat there. I will NEVER GO BACK AGAIN!!!!

These restaurants used to be good 15 years ago but now are average at best. Have been buying the Outback Special for all those tears and it used to be one of the best values for the buck for steaks. However for the past 5 or. 6 years, this whole chain has been going downhill. Ate here a few days ago and ordered the Outback Special with a baked potato and chopped salad. Was delivered the salad and before I could get three forkfuls in my mouth, the steak was delivered. After both were delivered, the bread arrived last. I told the food transporter that the steak was way too early and he grumbled that for some reason the salad had been delayed (no recognition the steak was way too early, rather than the salad slow ). I ordered the steak med rare and it was delivered more rare than medium rare which would be OK since I like my beef tartar just fine, but this cut of meat was both tough and unable to be chewed in parts. The waitress made the mistake of asking how the steak was and I told her it was pretty tough. She offered to get me a new one if I wanted to wait. I told her it would most likely be the same bad piece of meat and stayed with what I had as I was hungry. I think that this is the last straw and going to have to try other places and see if I can find quality again.

It was date night for us two, and our first choice for dining out was extremely busy, so we decided to try the Outback Steakhouse in Nampa. Our server Janelle was absolutely amazing, but the food was just awful! First , our appitizer was their fried mushrooms which were dehydrated a bit and extremely chewy (like eating fried leather). My salad was the wedge salad, I am pretty much sure that it wasnt washed because I had bitten into a few pieces of sand. Also, it was hard to see the actual lettuce since it had been drowned in tons of blue cheese dressing. Our Entrees, my other half had the filet mignon and lobster tale combo, I had the NY Strip blue-rare. Well, the lobster was over cooked, and our steaks both had an unbelievable amount of seasoning on it, like the shaker lid fell off above our steaks. I must say that the steaks were cooked to perfection temperature wise, but with all of that seasoning salt we couldnt taste our steaks. The only thing that the Outback Steakhouse in Nampa has going for it is that it wasnt that busy and the incredible service of our server Janelle. I dont think that we will be back.

We went in there on a weeknight, and the place was fairly empty. Some how that did not stop the employees from screwing around for the most part, and taking an absurdly long time for both food and drinks (ever waited 20 minutes for a beer in an empty restaurant?). The food was done nicely though; better than most places. The meat was good quality, and like most mid-ranged chain restaurants the sauces were good. The salads were some sort of dismal iceberg offering from the 70s, like most things in Nampa. They sent out nice bread, the coconut shrimp was good. As for the grilled ahi, we were impressed with the job they did searing and lightly breading the outside, but the presentation on a romaine lettuce heart was a touch pathetic. We would give this place a second chance if the service had been faster, and the entrées about $5 cheaper.
