Pass by this Chinese place thousand times never tried it , because of their sign says CAFE which made me think it is a fast food place but it is actually a nice restaurant with a big menu , Chinese and American food. Surprisingly found that their food is very close to the authentic Chinese food which I had in China Town in SF, California. Better than the other Chinese place . I ordered the mongolian beef with pork fried rice and egg rolls, very tasty and freshly made. The waitresses are quite friendly but it looks like they are very busy with the to-go orders too, so I dont blame that they are a little bit slow to get my refills but the food was served pretty fast. All in all, it is a good place to eat , excellent food, fast service and very clean environment , I would definitely recommend it to Chinese food lovers!

I dont really have the habit to comment on food but I must recommend this place to folks who dont really know where to go for some absolutely delicious and outstanding Chinese food, this is your best choice! I knew this restaurants been here for a long long time but I didnt really try it because of the bad experiences I had with other Chinese places. But my family told me this place is definitely worth a try, and it is surprisingly good. The canton special fried rice is no wonder the best in town and I love their egg rolls too, very crispy wrap with fresh meat and vege. fillings......my waitress was very helpful and patient too, which was a plus. I regret not have come here earlier and I will add this place to my favorite restaurant list.

Wasnt impressed at all. Service wasnt great, we didnt know to wait to be seated or just to sit so we ended up finding a table ourselves. Ordered what we thought was a lunch special (runs all day saturday) but apparently got the dinner order instead so we got charged more for that. Ordered a plate with "soft noodles" and got a bunch of hard Ramen looking like noodles. Asked waitress if those were soft noodles and she said yes they were and it was a common complaint that they didnt look that way. Just overall not impressed with anything. Wont be returning and dont recommend.

I was told by friends that I have to eat at this Chinese place for they have the best food in town , so thats what I did with suspicion because I usually go to the other one. It turned out to be a great experience for me and my family , the canton special fried rice tastes wonderful and so are the mandarin chicken and their egg flower soup. Oh, dont forget to try their appetizer---crab ragoon, I would say it is the best Ive ever had and kids love it. The waitress was very friendly and helpful too. We will definitely return!

Ordered crab rangoon, egg roll, and chicken lo mein. The lo mein was chicken noodle soup with mushrooms. It was NOT lo mein whatsoever, they clearly dont know what lo mein is. The crab rangoon should be renamed deep fried cream cheese. There was not a single piece of "crab" in all 10 pieces of our crab rangoon. It was pure cream cheese. The egg roll was awful! My family and I were NOT impressed or even close to satisfied by this place.

Horrible Service, and the food sucked too. I was told my food would be 15 minutes. I got my food over an hour later (take out). I asked to speak to the manger but was told the manager "Eddie" was too busy to speak with me. But he did give me 10% off my order. Thanks a lot Eddie. What a joke and waste of time.

Couldnt even eat there because what they dont tell you is their sign may say they close at 10 they will not serve you after 9:30. Wouldnt it make more since to say you close at 9:30? The wait staff even made the comment they close a half hour earlier than their sign says so they have time to clean

Made the mistake of ordering the Pork Chow Mein. Was told that it would be an extra charge for the noodles to be soft. The noodles tasted burnt. The egg roll and Mandarin chicken was good. Im still trying to figure out how my bill came out what it was. Probably not going to be back.

I am giving it 5 stars for the food and the amazing wait staff. However, the owners are so rude and treat their employees very poorly. Ive also been there at times when the owners children are there sitting at a table. They allow their children to be very loud and inappropriate.

I must say, that Canton Cafe has the best Chinese food in the Caldwell area. They have some very friendly waitresses. always smiling and cheerful. the only thing negative i would have to say is each time i go, its always so cold. but overall i will give them 5 stars.

I would give zero stars if I could. Hands down the WORST Chinese food Ive ever eaten. Rice was brown and hard, mandarin chicken and sweet and sour pork were over fried and burnt. "Beef Lo Mein" was soup. Gross.

Use to work here about 30yeard ago seen the kids grow up andbecome useful in the commumity and seen them with their children. In all these years the food is still the great food that they served back then.

Best Chinese in Nampa/Caldwell area that I have found. Love the all white meat Mandarin chicken and crab Rangoon. Wish they delivered and had an online menu for easier ordering.
