I personally know the previous and new owner of this bar. The previous owner was only interested in money. However, the new owner is genuinely interested in her employees and patrons. I have known Teresa a great deal of my life and she is a wonderful person. I know the Nickel has changed in the last few years bit I have no doubt that Teresa can bring it back to what it was in its glory days. If youve had bad experiences there, I urge you to give Teresa and her new team a chance.

I dont know WHAT is going on in here... A crazy mix of unsavory people and a really creepy atmosphere.. I had a few beers here and got out as quickly as possible.. lots of loud people and several guys with buck knives strapped to their belts, some bikers, all kinds of skanky women and a generally loud and obnoxious/hostile and seedy vibe...Even when I was drunk I felt uncomfortable.

Service with an attitude. Bad attitude. Must be new owners. Ordered a pitcher of Shock Top and she asked small or pitcher? I said pitcher. She said small or large (rolls her eyes at me). So I said how many sizes do you have ;) Anyway... $19 for a pitcher (large). And then a tip? That seems a little high to me. Although its been a few years since I drank one... Just seemed pricey.

Under New Management... Theresa (former BartenderManager is now the new owner... She understands the Good and the Bad things from the past history of this Bar... No more Poker for cash, more live entertainment, more fun and games including karaoke... Good luck Theresa... Make the Wooden Nickle a great place again!

This is the perfect neighborbood bar! The food is excellent, the patrons are laid back and the bartenders are very friendly. I love this place, not fancy at all though...i can wear blue jeans abd a t-shirt and not feel outta place :) ♡ the fried pickles.

Very friendly neighborhood Tavern. The beer and Liquor prices are very resonable. They also have live music about twice a month with some good local bands that play classic rock along with some of the new tunes.

Wish they would close it down. Any time Ive ever been near this place, I always see Hood rats and drug dealers. If you are looking for drugs, prostitutes, or degenerates alike... This is the place for you.

I have always been treated with respect and been taken care of like I was family. Foods good service is outstanding. I would rather spend time there (Wooden Nickel) then going to upity Buckhead.

If you like bar atmosphere thats quaint yet still somewhat... up to date then it multicultural and many different types to meet here. Very nice place if youre not the scared uppity type!

Drinks are good but the food is horrible, was here a couple days ago the marinated sauce was cold and stiff and the cheese sticks just bad...

The Drinks were mostly water. The wings were smaller than I have ever seen. I used to go here years ago. I will not be returning.
