So I know that its early but Ive never felt more hurt than I am right now. At flying biscuits in Dunwoody, Ga .... we go into the restaurant all eyes on us. the hosts who is by the way is WHITE tells us its gone be a 15 to 20 min (WAIT) Ok thats find, get our buzzer. So we go sit outside because again all eyes are on us. (Waiting) I see another BLACK couple go get seated before us... So we go check to see why they were seated before us, "now they ready to seat us" mind you the couple who were seated before us was BLACK who was also put in the back of the restaurant....by this time Im feeling a type of way. As I look at everyone its all WHITES sitting in the front and its a open table in the front but the BLACK waitress walks us pass that open table and take us to the BACK of the restaurant. Immediately I get offended because again their is an open table in the front. She give us our menu I ask "is there a table in the front" because I dont want to sit back here. She STATES; "let me go check" only to come back and say "someone has already been seated there." (Im hot) because that table was OPEN and available prior to her walking us to the BACK..OK!!thats I will not spend my money here than she takes our menu and walk off. As we are walking out I see the table that was open with a couple ( male white, woman black) this was by far the worst experience Ive ever had to to deal being that it was my first time eating here ever never again.

Do not waste your time or money. This is some of the worst service I have had anywhere. The food came out colder than room temperature, which I discovered after having to retrieve my own hot sauce and syrup for my husbands french toast from a nearby table. Our waitress did not return to our table for approximately five minutes, at which time she offered to "re-warm" our food. Yes, there is nothing more appetizing than re-warmed, but runny egg yolks. At this time I first asked for a water refill. The re-warmed food was better than not, but now like leftovers, and still not hot. When our waitress checked back, I again requested a water refill, which she cheerfully agreed to bring, but didnt. Also, side note, this location apparently uses frozen Pillsbury biscuits, and not the classic homemade Flying Biscuits that provide this restaurant its namesake. Dry, chalky, and bland. Finally, our waitress informed us that she would bring my husband a to go (undrinkably burnt) coffee and our check. I guess this was our tip off that it was time for her to flip the table. I again asked for a water refill, and the waitress walked off. Never did get that water. Other locations are great, but this one is just trying to make it by on the name the original restaurant worked so hard to build.

I wanted to call in a to-go order and was placed immediately on hold. Staying on the phone, I got in the car, drove there, spoke to the hostess who told me to place my order at the bar, stood at the bar for several minutes, and finally the hostess came back over and took my order. After a few minutes more, the bartender finally asked me if I had a to-go order. I told her that I had called in to place an order, but I was still on hold, and that the hostess had taken my order. The bartender turned away without another word--no apology or anything for leaving me on hold all this time. Ive noticed that the service at this location has declined over the last year. I dont know if theyve changed management, but they certainly need to. The floor was dirty and sticky, and the wait staff doesnt seem to be very concerned about providing good customer service. I would recommend trying other breakfast/brunch locations before this on.

Service was excellent. We, however, remember the original Flying Biscuit (FB) on McLendon Avenue near Five Points. We ate there several times years ago and was pretty much wowed by the food each visit. Not so at these new franchised Flying Biscuits. The company has not been able to bring the excellence of the original to these copies. Weve eaten at the one near Piedmont Park and now the one on Roswell Road. What a disappointment. The food both times was just ho-hum. We tried items from both the all-day breakfast menu and the sandwich menu. You might ask why we tried a second franchise after such a bad experience at the first franchised FB. We believe in second chances and that every restaurant can have a bad day. For now, weve cross the FB off our restaurant rotation and wont be recommending it to anyone.

Everything was great except one thing. They do not know how to cook a steak. I wasnt expecting a great steak or anything. I just happened to be in the mood for steak and figured why not? The menu said they typically cook it medium rare so I figured they could get close enough to that. When my steak came out it was over cooked. I talked to my waitress about it and she took it back and brought me another one. Which was undercooked. I could tell immediately just by feel, but at that point my party was almost done eating and Id rather eat an undercooked steak than an over cooked one. Will definitely go back because everything else, from the other food to the service was great. I just dont see how their steak and eggs is one of their most popular dishes.

The food was good, but the place was filthy.. They say if you want to know how clean a restaurant is visit the restrokm. Well I wish I wouldve went to the restroom first instead of at the end of my visit. It smelled like piss so strong that I couldnt use the restroom. The floor of the restaurant was just filthy. So Im giving this a one star because of the cleanliness of the restaurant . However I may try another location just because the food was delicious but I was praying all the way home that I didnt get sick I shouldve just got up and left when I noticed the floor was filthy if I wouldve visit the restroom first I would not have stayed. Will never go back to this location

DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY THERE!! The waitress used my credit card to pay her phone bill. The owner was very unhelpful and said the security camera did not capture the incident. In addition, she implied that the situation was resolved since my credit card company refunded the unauthorized credit card charge. It upset me the most that the owner did not seem interested in resolving the issue, reprimanding the employee, or even offering some sort of compensation. She never even bothered to contact me to discuss the matter further. Bad customer service. Will never go there again or recommend it.

Its been over a year since I last visited The Flying biscuit and honestly my first visit was a mess. The place was so busy that service suffered and maybe it left a bad taste in my mouth. However I stopped by again today on a Thursday morning and I couldnt be happier. The service is prompt and friendly. The Good: Breakfast was excellent, one of the best in the city. I ordered the Egg-Stravaganza. Make sure you have plenty of room for food because youre going to get a lot. The Bad: This is a small complaint but the table covers really seemed out of place with the rest of the restaurant.
