Best thing we can say for the San Marcos is the locals are happily oblivious to much better Mexican restaurants. We were there twice and at each visit locals were having a good time, but then each table full of mirth and merriment had bottles of "cerveza" all round. Food was hot and fresh, but lacked visual and taste. Service, well maybe if we ordered in Spanish it would have been more friendly. Otherwise youd thought I was wearing a INS Enforcement shirt and my companion a DEA shirt. We have spent about the same at other Mexican establishments but gotten better everything. If this was the only place open late in Pine Mt. We would eat there again; but only if.

Take it from a former resident of Texas that this is no where near good Mexican food. My party had multiple dishes including tacos, enchiladas and quesadillas, all were of the same quality I would expect from Taco Bell. The service was painfully slow with hardly anyone in the restaurant. The place is also in dire need of a remodel. The carpet was stain and ripped in multiple location. The ceiling tiles showed water damage and were cupped and moldy. On a positive note, prices were very reasonable. The margaritas were large and cheap. And the wait staff was very friendly.

This might be the only Mexican restaurant they have in Pine Mountain. Its the only one we saw. The food was entirely too bland. The place was also very shabby, dingy and dirty inside. Service was minimally adequate, but nothing special. My first thought upon arriving was to go elsewhere, but there werent many places to choose from in the area. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Laid back environment. We went while on vacation at callaway gardens. I got a quesadilla supreme and a strawberry margarita. Food was great! The margarita was good and strong (I asked for them to make it strong). We were turned off by the run down appearance outside, but the town is small and doesnt offer too much. We were pleasantly surprised by our good experience.

Best Mexican food weve ever had! We eat here at least once or twice a week, all year long. And prices are very reasonable too. We feel lucky to live within 5 minutes of this restaurant. And no, I cant even tell you who owns this restaurant, but we know all the people that work there as they are very friendly. I especially love their flautas and chile rellenos.

The food is pretty good if you had not eaten for a few days and had the hunger shakes and were going through processed food withdrawals. Seriously though its only fault is being salty and bland-But its pretty cheap so there you go. Its not gonna blow your mind. Staff is friendly and work hard.

That is with a medium margarita, fried ice cream, guacamole, and cheese dip with 2 entrees and the bill was $31! Food was excellent, service a little slow, but they were very busy. Food was fast after ordering, just busy for them to provide the follow up, when something was needed.

Surely did not want to put even one star. I do not care for businesses that the owner puts his hands on employees. You have not right to sling your employees up against the wall. And the kitchen should not stay dirty all night then clean in the morning, that brings roaches.

Terrible. Bad waiter. Mediocre food. Ran out of chips. Waiter upset because he messed up the order. Im not going back. Not much better than Frozen TV dinners. The locals like it because you can get alcohol here. Bland food. Drive to LaGrange or Columbus instead.

This place is a Pine Mountain tradition. You cant go wrong with their fajitas (chicken, steak, or shrimp), quesadilla supreme, enchiladas verdes, pollo con creme, or beef flautas. They are really generous with their margaritas too!

Love this place, even when packed you get fast service however i was served by a gentleman yesterday who was just awful. He wouldnt even look at our table. Took 20 minutes and i had to flag down the busboy just to order my meal.

Amazing portions at reasonable prices. Even when they were slam packed full, they were courteous and quick to get my familys food out. Everything was delicious!! Highly recommend the chili rellano, best Ive ever had!

I have been eating at this here for years. Over the last 6 months it has gone down hill badly. The service and the food has declined. The building is dirty and in bad need of repair. I have made my last visit.

I didnt want to give them that. Not sure how you can mess up mexican food, but it can be done. Salsa was like tomatoe soup, no taste. My taco was cold sent it back. Margaritas are terrible

Food is OK. Service is terrible. Its worth a longer drive to Columbus, Ga. for better service. We have been there twice in two weeks and tonight was worst of all. We will never go back.
