This was my favorite restaurant as a child, but the location I went to in Clayton County since closed down, so I found this one. Ive been here on multiple occasions, and more times than not it has been a let down. Its a hit or miss. The service is usually amazing, but the kitchen just isnt up to par, so it makes the serves look bad, when in reality they have no control over the kitchen. Ive had food that didnt taste as it should more than once. I could understand if they were busy, but they never are when Ive been. Honestly only giving three stars & not one because the brand is amazing & Ive had two exceptional services that are making up for the 8 other times that it sucked.

I ordered the (2) pork chop dinner with a salad and baked potato. The waitress that brought my salad out spilled the dressing on our table. She decided it would be a good idea to hand me a holder full of napkins and allow me to clean it up myself. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. My dinner companion had chicken livers, mac and cheese and gravy. Then we had banana pudding for dessert. The food was okay at best. The banana pudding tasted like canned pudding that someone added rotten bananas to. We drove as far as we did to get The FOLKS experience that we used to get in Jonesboro. NO WHERE CLOSE. We will not be returning and sure wont be reccomending our friends/family to dine there.

We typically love Folks and have been there several times but I am wondering if there is new management as the service yesterday was ridiculous. My husband ordered unsweet tea and got sweet, not a huge deal, but when my food came, - salad with grilled chicken - I can only describe it as disgusting. It even smelled weird. The chicken was literally burnt, and badly. The waitress spoke to her manager who gave me half off. Thanks for that, or not. She offered to have another one made but it took 20 minutes to get that one and we didnt have time to wait. We will not be going back.

Stopped by 25 mins. before closing, pulled up to drive thru, employees standing at counter all walked away, got no response! so parked and went inside saw kitchen staff cleaning. One female employee walked by with no response, only got a what you doing here look! I know its close to closing time i only wanted to ask, were there any peach muffins left i could buy. i walked out after waiting a few minutes! after getting in car employees came back out of hiding.Is there a manager here at night or just employees trying to get home early.

I purchase a 2 piece breast and wing meal and i ask for fresh chicken and even was willing to wait on it, i get home and bite into the chicken it was old as if they cooked it 2 days ago and warmed it up on day of sale im done with this place period this is the 2nd and last time they steal my money, this place really lacks mgnt because if they had it they would understand you will only shoot the restaurant in the foot selling old food it will not last long! BE CAREFUL EATING AT THE ONE IN MCDONOUGH GA HWY 20/81

It was not good at all. The place was understaffed. The people were not knowledgeable of the systems. The food was less than average quality. To top it all off, I was charged for refills on vegetables on an AYCE. The manager blamed the staffer, even though management went over the ticket with the staffer and AYCE was clearly on every meal. That is sad. If the ticket would have been paid, who would have received the bonus?

I like the location the building and the food BUT you need to select where you want to sit because the servers want to fill in the less desirable seats first. The service is good BUT extremely slow. Those peach muffins are damn skippy greeeat! Great place to fill up ~ skip the fried chicken usually over cooked Catfish and Ribs some of the best and that bean bar is rocking Good family environment peaceful and quiet

Terrible! Awful! Horrible! The kitchen staff yelling fighting threatening to stab each other! Ghetto ghetto ghetto. Food was burned and took forever to arrive. Manager Is ghetto and unprofessional. Police were on scene for fighting and assaults and they still had the nerve to charge us for our experience of ghetto culture. Mis management and in professional rude lazy employees with no social skills. Nasty nasty nasty.

Was referred to us by family member, Im from Chicago, we have good soul food at some restaurants. Food wasnt good, my niece sent her food back catfish nuggets horrible. I had the chicken head ok but thats it. Ill never visit again. She did say the dressing was okay. Mac n cheese not Kraft Mac n cheese real Mac n cheese me please. I hate feeling like Im eating processed food! Not Good!

I was sitting at the drive thru window, watching 6 employees standing around chatting, looking at their Review of 94.0 or so, observing the floor in dire need of a sweep. One girl preparing a salad to go, she dropped the Styrofoam cup on the dirty floor, picked it up and added dressing, put the top on the cup and then placed it in the salad tray In The Bed Of Lettuce! Nasty & Disgusting!

Poor service, terrible food. Peas and rice crunchy. Told server , nothing. Meat loaf WAY salty, squash, greens not what they once were. Riblets AWFUL. Will never come back. Place used to be great. Gone to hell. No one cares. Avoid this place. Actually complained on website. No reply at all. Not even acknowledgement of any kind.

Service Sucked , the waitress lied to us about selling alcohol said she couldnt serve it because her manager was not there . The food looked dry especially the sides . We usually eat there every couple of months and this is the worse it has been . Dont plan on going back anytime soon .

best. Best. BEST PEACH MUFFINS EVAAAA!!! Smothered chicken is AMAZING... buffalo chicken tenders are AMAZING... cheeseburgers are AMAZING!!!!!! Mac n cheese is always cheesy and French fries are always perfectly crispy. Lets not forget how marvelous their deserts are as well.

The staff is nice. I have seen a big difference in the past 6 months. They seat you as efficiently as possible. The food is great at a great price also. I now go at least once every 2 weeks but sometimes I end up going every week. The banana pudding is my favorite dessert.

The entire folks experience was somewhat subpar the food was cold macaroni and cheese taste like cardboard spicy Savannah burger its dry and the spicy sauce is just mayonnaise and Cayanne good customer service overall okay experience wont be going back though

Food was not good. Wifes ordered ribs and they we raw in the middle. Everything else was pre-made and microwaved to order. Chicken was awful and dry. My sons meal was another disappointment. Place also needed to be cleaned...one time to shine!

I have tried it 3 times. Any place can have a bad day. But not 3 in a row. Food is ok. Service is terrible. My order was wrong 2 of 3 times. Waitresses dont give a crap. I can get better service and food just down the street. No more for me.
