CaptR Rohan has two duplicate reviews of my restaurant, completely full of lies. We have never charged a delivery fee to anyone. We do not deliver. He may have called a delivery service called "Food Shuttle." This service would pick up food for you at a restaurant and deliver it to you for a $5 fee, or, its just an outright lie. We have never charged anyone for water. He claims "I" told him he should have checked the menu before ordering. I have never spoken to this person to my knowledge, and certainly wouldnt have said the things he claims I said. There is no way his charge card amount was raised after he left. He didnt bother to follow up on it because it was not true. All of "CaptR Rohans" statements are false. He must have some type relationship with another airport restaurant owner, who wants to hurt us because he cant handle fair competition. His posts are slanderous. Please check out our restaurant for yourself. Thank you to our customers that have provided legitimate reviews! Hokey Sloan

Im trying to remember getting slower service than I had at flying machine today, but cant think of one. The wait was ridiculous; take a numbered card and seat yourself, then pray to your diety of choice that one of the servers notices and feels like picking up another table. The kitchen was clearly unprepared for lunch and everyone around us had waited an hour for their meal. All of the food was good though and my daughter enjoyed the planes, so we would give a patio lunch another chance, just not until after 2 when things slow down.

We would definitely go back for an evening dinner or even just a beer in the patio. The speakers broadcast the tower chatter from Bristol field, just a few hundred feet from your table. Regular traffic of commuter planes and pilots in training entertain all ages throughout the day and night. Weekends they feature a guy with a guitar, but the aviation memorabilia and the airfield are the real entertainment. Dont expect more than table wine, cheap beer, and bar food. No frills here. Just good plane watching.

This is a unique little place - a bit out of the way, but where else can you sit on the tarmac and watch planes take off? I agree with another reviewer - the service is somewhat lacking, but the food exceeded my expectations for an out-of-the-way diner. Their grilled chicken salad was quite nice, and I thought their Reuben was FANTASTIC. The patio is perfect for kids, and it will be a strong contender for a fun weekend lunch with the kids during the spring and early summer.

For 8 years I have gone to this restaurant whenever I have the time to get off the strip thats filled with McDonalds and Burger Kings.. Friendly staff and its nice to watch the planes come in. And the sandwiches, these are the fattest and best sandwiches I have had in Lawrenceville. Not that standard stuff you get at Blimpie or Subway. Its only sandwich competition in this town might be Locos. And they have Guinness.

A great place to take the kids and watch the airplanes takeoff and land. I would recommend going on a clear Saturday for more air traffic. Briscoe Field has a flight school that gives flying lessons on the weekends providing more air traffic for spectators. The food is good, not great. I enjoy their burgers. There is also patio seating on the tarmac if the weather is nice.

We have 5 kids, age 7 to 13. We come to the Flying Machine on average 3 to 4 times a month. We like the value, food quality is really good, and the family atmosphere is enjoyable! We really like to support our local economy and our local businesses… Forego the chain restaurant and enjoy a really good meal at the Flying Machine!

Great casual restaurant! Food is Great! Hospitality is Exceptional! Owners and staff are very friendly! Hokey is a talented musician and a lot of fun to listen to. Patio seating is great for watching the airplanes takeoff and land. I have been dining there for a long time. Fun place to have lunch or dinner.

The food is ok but the view is amazing. My kids loved eating with all of the planes moving around in front of them. UPDATE: We came back again in May 2017, good was actually very good. We got BBQ and chicken salads. Both were much improved over our last visit. We will definitely come back again soon.

Terrible service last night at the airport~! The waitress didnt want to be at work! Will not be coming back anytime soon! Views are good but when you cant get service. The evening sucked eggs. Hire some help that need the work, need the income and and enjoys their work!!!!!!

Great little place to eat at the Gwinnett/Lawrenceville airport! Located on the field, you can taxi right up to the ramp side door and park. Patio style seating outside allows full view of the airport traffic. They have great food, and also live music a few times each month!

We are new to Georgia and this is one of our favorites. My husband is a pilot and our 2 year old is fascinated with airplanes. We love to sit outside and watch them take off and taxi. He loves the model airplanes inside, too. The burgers are great! Wonderful place to go!

Fun Atmosphere to watch for the planes coming and going. Food is pretty good - always hot and tasty. Patty Melt is really good and so is the buffalo chicken salad. Hummingbird cake is awesome! Service is sometimes slow but such a relaxed atmosphere its hard to complain.

The food is nothing special. Not bad, but not great either. The service is pretty horrible. Well be back though. The kids love watching the planes. If youre going to order a draft beer, go ahead and get the half pitcher. The glasses they use are super tiny.

As always. The Flying Machine is a great place to sit with friends and family, enjoy a great meal, and occasionally watch airplanes come and go. The weather was superb tonight and the music was good...til Elvis started anyway!

It was too hot to sit outside and watch the planes but inside we had great service from a cheerful young lady who suggested we try the $100 burger. We took her advice and were not disappointed.
