I guess if dont speak Creole then you wont get quick serves. They lost one american customer... This place has good food but the customer service needs some work on. I ate there 2 twice and waited 25 mins on both accounts while the people that came after where getting serve... So I decided to give them one last time today to be exact. I call them 40 mins ahead and told them I will be there to pick up my food at 5:20pm exact gave them my name and everything. Got there at 5:20 exact told the owner RUTH my name she looked at me and went to the back. I looked at the cook and asked if my order was ready he said no we are cooking now, i ask do you want me to come back. The owner came out and said do you have 5mins. I said no thats why I called you ahead of time to have my food ready... You can eat there but at your own waiting risk especially if your not haitian.

What a great bakery and great service! Our regular Lawrenceville bakery didnt consider two days notice enough time to make my birthday cake and said they couldnt get to it until next week because it required making a special icing. We were so disappointed. My husband said hed find someone who wanted our business and he found Rose at La Citadelle. She had no problem making my cake with two days notice even though shed never made the cake, a three layer white cake with boiled fudge icing like my grandmother made when I was a child. The cake turned out beautiful and good. We are enjoying it every day, sharing with our friends and telling them about La Citadelle and Rose. Bob and Marilyn Ward

I love the Haitian patties. When I go to La Citadelle I have to leave with at least 2 dozen. I have had several cakes baked for birthday parties, delicious. My stepfather reminds me to get him the loaf bread when I go by there. You have to try La Citadelle yourself. As for me and my house we will continue to enjoy the delicious pastries.

This restaurant is amazing!!!!!!! We visited here on a weekend and we fell in love. The customer service was outstanding the food was to die for. Definitely recommend I wish I could give more than 5 stars. We will be back! Thank you guys!!!

This place is really awesome. Best in Lawrenceville since Bistro Creole. Food is great, price is affordable and they know how to make you feel at home. Their smiles are unsurpassed and the atmosphere is 100% Creole. Way to go la Citadelle.

The griot was awesome, so flavorful, the rice was well cook and tasty, the patties, the didnt have fried goat at the time of my order but the sold me a little side of goat, that was so good . I cant wait to go try the legumes, and oxtail.

The food is authentic Haitian food, the staff is very friendly and genuine, my only critique is they run out of items like fresh bread and patties very early in the day, its always better to call ahead before going there.
