Waited about 15 minutes after we were seated and no one had even acknowledged us. We had to try three times until we finally flagged down one of the three waitresses that werent busy, it honestly seemed like they were ignoring us or avoiding us even though we were sat in the middle of the restaurant where everyone could see us. Another party came in after us and were sat in a corner out of view, and immediately got drinks and menus, had their order taken and got their food before us. How nice. On the menu it said the super salad came with fried chicken so we asked if we could get it with grilled chicken instead, and the waitress who spoke so quietly we could hardly hear her said it only came with grilled chicken. Super salad comes and guess what it has, fried chicken. Not very super. And my meat was cold when it came out too. I guess if youre "not from around here" you dont deserve great service or great food.

Come here if you want to get a decent price for average BBQ. Ive drove past it 50 times and always wondered if it was good, and based on the cars in the parking lot I thought I was in for a treat. Dont let it fool you, that just tells you how starved people are for dining choices in this area, if they have a pit master he/she should be replaced. Each table has its assortment of condiments: homemade hot sauce (mustard based), Texas Pete, salt/pepper, vinegar and peppers, ketchup........ hmm......... no BBQ sauce.... let me look again.... yup no BBQ sauce. Seems like that would be the first thing on the table at a BBQ restaurant. Had to ask for a side of BBQ sauce, and there was an up-charge..... really? Atmosphere was amazing, old plantation style house, with really unique antiques and wall décor; I just wish they would have spent as much time on the food as the walls. If I could give it 2.5 stars I would.

We went there for my step fathers Birthday and what a let down! The Service was very good, but the food was a let down! The Fried Corn bread was a over done flat pancake! The French Fries were cold and had to be send back and the sauce!!! OH MY!! Beware! It was over powering and watery! For the $65.00 Thats with tip, we should have went down the road. As a fact we went down and had dessert somewhhere else after seeing the "homemade" cake another table got! Guess we learned. Like I said the the service was great and the charm of the decor was wonderful!

Comfort food at its finest! Oh, lets not forget the homemade chocolate cake or coconut cake. I adore the french fries (with the skins). I guess Iv e forgotten to mention the bbq pok sandwiches..oh my! The restaurant grabs your senses before you even enter the door, the smoke house on the side pours out some AWESOME fumes...love it! I love the clean country decor, the old stove and the nic nacs all around. I have never had anything that I did not think was yummy! Give it a try, but they are only open on the weekends.

The barbeque was probably about the worst weve ever had. The cole slaw was disgusting, and the fries were under-cooked. Perhaps it was the bias towards a vinegar-based barbeque sauce that rendered the food tasteless, to the degree that my wife was convinced it was frozen meat. Stick with the Brunswick stew, and youll be happy. Service was fine.

Excellent food and fantastic service. I happen to really like the pulled pork and the French Fries are the best anywhere...always crisp and hot. The fried cornbread was new to me but it is absolutely delicious. The chocolate cake.....what is not to absolutely love about the chocolate cake..absolutely yummy, warm and delicious.

This is by far the best bbq around. We used to live in the area and moved over 10 years ago. It is over an hour drive and we try to do it just about every Sunday! There is nothing like it. They also have the absolute BEST coleslaw. If you havent been you are missing out!

arrived later in the evening (about an hour before closing) so maybe that was part of the issue... Prices were reasonable but the meals were a disappointment. Lots of fat, seemingly canned sides, wilty salad and slow, sporadic service made for a bummer meal

Cute place and sevice was good but the food, not so much. Only one sauce and the beans were horrible. We wont be stopping in there again on our way home from our trips up that way again.

The 1/2 chicken was very tasty, but I did NOT like the baked beans or barbecue sauce. It is a vinegar base and I dont like that. Also didnt get enough refills.

Think the portion of the barbecue was chinsy and you can offer 2 sides instead of one. Or include coleslaw and 1 side. Not coming back anytime soon. Sorry.
