I ordered the half rack of ribs with Mac and cheese, collard greens, and a coke. Total cost was $21. The service was fine. The server got my drink order quickly and brought a refill before I ran out of coke. He didnt keep stopping by to interrupt my meal by asking how my food was. Bathroom was clean. Overall ambience was pleasant. They smoke the ribs. When you order them, the ribs ate deep fried to heat them up. They are then tossed in sauce. The deep fry gives the ribs a nice crisp outside. I thought the sauce overwhelmed the meat flavor. Next time I will order them naked and try the sauce on the side. The ribs were cut apart, six bones total. There was plenty of meat on each one. The guy sitting at the table next to me used his knife and fork to eat the ribs and seemed to be able to clean the bones - they were that meaty and tender. The mac and cheese was not the eggy custard type. Yay! I hate that kind. It had small penne with cheese sauce. I wished there was more cheese. Overall, the Mac was OK. Not bad, but far from memorable. Happily, the greens made up for all that! They had an amazing sweet taste and then a spicy kick. I wouldnt call them hot, more of a mild spice. These were the best collards Ive had in Atlanta so far.

Not the best, but not bad BBQ at a convenient location in the Highlands. My least favorite aspect is the community tables. I dont mind sharing my space, but the tables are so wide that its tough to hear people in your own group without have to yell over strangers sitting next to you. Atmosphere feels crowded and not ideal for an intimate date night unless you get a table outside or sit at the bar. I ordered the Carolina Pulled Pork Bowl. Not too impressed by the pulled pork (dry and not enough flavor without pouring BBQ sauce over it), but the grits were delicious. I also tried the Brisket, and I think that is probably the best meat item on the menu. Someone else ordered the Bacon Pork Burger, which was enormous and looked perfect for a larger appetite. Good drinks specials-- cant beat the $3 Bulleit Rye special-- and they have a nice craft beer list.

Went with the family for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it. We started our meal with the pimento cheese wonton and the WuTang wings. Both were great, but the wings, Ill be craving. We ordered spare ribs, brisket, and the pulled pork. Again, all great. We decided the pulled pork was our favorite. For the sides we had the green beans (sooooo good), the grits (good), the pear slaw (not bad) and the mac and cheese (sooo sooo good) ). On top of the great food, our service was great. Tyler, our server was attentive, efficient, had great menu knowedge and a great personality. Needless to say, well be back!

We just happened to be walking by and stopped here. Didnt know what we were getting into, but hubs was really happy with the food! I wasnt hungry so i stuck with water. The service was great, i wish i knew the name of our server. Young, blonde hair, super helpful with our meal and kept our drinks full, but also gave really great tips on the area and how to get to our hotel from the Marta and other ways to use the travel systems. We had a homeless man join us for lunch and the server was really respectful and kind to him as well, which really was sweet. We sat outside. I recommend!

Courteous staff! When my family of 5 entered, including newborn, the place was packed and we were informed wed have to wait an hour. Couple minutes after I decided wed have takeout, they informed us their was a table for us and assisted with storing our stroller in a secure place. Manager was very kind. And even though it was VERY busy, we waited about 15 minutes for our food to arrive. Wayyy better than the time we went to Chilis and waited 30 minutes to be seated, then an hour for our orders that we NEVER received (which we left due to no service) for the same food

Food is very good and brunch special is great as well. All you can drink and eat- wide variety of food, drinks are mimosas and Bloody Marys. The mimosas have very little champagne however, mostly orange juice. It is served in pitcher so can be a bit flat. Service is not great. Staff was not accommodating and very rude concerning our outdoor seating requests. We tried to accomodate them and come to a happy medium however we nearly left because of how much the staff over-complicated the situation. Very unecessary. Thankfully, the food was great.

This place is not only the best BBQ joint to eat at, but its in general the best place to eat at. Every time I come here (which is a total of 4 times, since Ive moved here last year), the food is consistently DELICIOUS!! The last time I came the fries were fried and seasoned to perfection. The Pull Pork Bowl (which I always sub for Chicken) is soooo good and is my favorite thing on the menu; although Im sure every single thing is delicious!! And I almost forgot the drinks. Delicious as well, cant go wrong with any special beverage.

We had heard good things about Sweet Auburn BBQ, but we were disappointed. My wife had the Memphis Babyback Ribs and I had the Beef Brisket. The brisket was dry and tough. The baby back ribs were flavorless. If this was an attempt to copy the style and flavor of Memphis BBQ it was a total failure. We spent 21 years in Memphis and the worst BBQ place in Memphis could do a better job than this. Additionally, the Brunswick stew was so salty that it was inedible. Save your money and you time go somewhere else.

The atmosphere was great with decor that made the experience special. Wed had a long day and this hit the spot. The food had terrific spice with the pork flavored so well bbq sauce wasnt needed. The sauce was wonderful though so I enjoyed it with the bbq. The collards and Brunswick stew were also spectacular. Our waitress did a wonderful job as well. The sweet tea that had a hint of mint was super great. We cant wait to come back and will plan our next trip to the area around eating here. Keep up the good work!

This is my go-to restaurant in the area. Excellent service all the time. A bit pricey, but the food is definitely more imaginative than your regular BBQ joints. Dont misunderstand me, I love a simple pulled pork plate with Mac-n-cheese and collards; but SAB serves up more than the staples, as well as the staples... Their skillet green beans rock. The smoked chicken wings pretty amazing. The taco plate kicks ass. Nothing Ive had so far seems generic or from a can.
