The "skinny" on my last experience here, 8/7/17: CHECK YOUR DATES! My wife and I shop here only if we absolutely must and are pressed for time.When we do, most of the pre-packaged AND deli meats have been close to expiration! We got home one day, like some fools, did not look at the expiration of the chicken and salami we received from the deli personnel it had expired the day prior! As we walked through the store, the pre-packaged meat, either Tyson or Butterball expired the very next day. Keep walking- the pepperoni bags (the air sealed ones in the middle stations) had mold!? We picked up a jar of applesauce, got home, the thread had been compromised, had rust all along the inside. Sandwich station- advertised bread selection is often "not available"? We asked for spinach wraps, which my best gut instinct tells me they arent "fresh baked", but seemed to be out without even checking back stock? Im not sure if this is how it is supposed to be managed. Fruits and veggies - my advice, do your research on ripeness and how to pick out, because one visit, months ago, every red potato was soft.

The deli is extremely slow. Every time I have gone there to get a sandwich the person making it has been rude and made very unnecessary comments. They arent trained to make the sandwiches consistently either. I asked the young lady Bethany to put my extra cheese on the top side of the bread opposite of the other cheese and meat. She said it doesnt matter it just gets folded over anyway. I said I do that so the bread doesnt get soggy from the juice of the pickles or the oil and vinegar. She literally put 4 slices of meat on the sandwiches as well. I wish we had a decent grocery store here in jackson! A publix or Kroger!

Always enjoy Ingles. My bagger was really sweet and thoughtful. I had recently been diagnosed with diabetes and he noticed my cart full if healthy snacks and sparked up a conversation. This led to him telling me his father has diabetes and he gave me some very valuable health tips that I will cherish.

The people at the deli and the bakery have always been kind and helpful. They make delicious sandwiches, and tasty baked goods. They are only up the road from my work, so I stop in frequently for lunch. I also regularly buy donuts for the people at work. We have never had any complaints. :o)

its convenient and clean. Friendly people and the manager is accommodating when I wont something they dont carry. being a gourmet cook this means a lot as well as being the clean freak that I am, I am happy with the upgrade of cleaning supplies.

Deli employees are so rude. They do not acknowledge when you are standing waiting to be waited on. Then they act like they are doing you a favor. Employees need a class on customer service.
