Food was awful and the service was awful!!! Food: Ordered the Tonkatsu ramen. The broth was very bland, no flavor. got only 3 chunks of pork in the entire bowl. Noodles were tough. nothing else included except a purtrid smelling egg. (didnt eat it because it just didnt smell safe) Service: The staff was cold, distant and basically just rude. Never refilled our drinks, one girl stood and stared at us in a gloomy depressing way the whole time (creepy). Then what got me was our waiter came to our table and said "we need to close the restaurant, can you pay first" (IT was an hour and 30 mins before close!!!) Talk about rude??? He just said that really quickly and zoomed away before we could say anything. The whole experience was awkward, and unpleasant. Will not be coming back to this place!

I really like these very unique kinds of Japanese restaurant. The food is quite different from what youd find at some of the others around Atlanta. The tonkatsu ramen is both delicious and reasonably priced, served with half a soft-boiled egg, three slices of pork, bean sprouts, chopped spring onions. At Raku, I found a passable tonkatsu ramen at best. On first sip, the broth has that full mouth feel that comes from a slowly cooked broth of pork bones. Rakus tonkatsu pork cutlet is excellent. The slices are thick, meaty, juicy, and crispy. The tonkatsu is served with a small bowl of sesame seeds The restaurant itself is pretty trendy, combining a very modern and industrial aesthetic and even the toilets are clean and black color, my favorite

Like most Japanese restaurants in the ATL - Raku is a disappointment. Ramen noodles are just okay but the broths and other ingredients are woefully lacking. Had the tonkatsu (house) and shoyu ramen on last two visits. Tonkatsu is edible but avoid the shoyu ramen. The Otsuyu (sauce) is below par at best. Woman in our party explained she was vegan to the server, order shio (salt) ramen with just veggies. Came with pork in it. They just removed the pork and re-served it to her. Fundamentally stupid - almost criminal (and I have limited empathy for vegans but a restaurant should get it...). Raku is a FAIL!

Though they want to make comparisons to Umaido, thats not doing them any favors. While Umaido excels at serving ramen with a rich tonkotsu broth, deliciously firm noodles, and well-seasoned chashu pork, Rakus tonkotsu falls flat with subpar flavors and soggy noodles. The service was great, and they even gave us an order of chicken gyoza as an appetizer, but even those were a little lacking (they might have been improved by a longer time in the fry pan). Ill probably be back to try the donburi and the curry katsu, but I wont be ordering the ramen again.

We were looking for a nice authentic ramen place, and came across Raku Ramen. The kanji on its sign (Raku / 楽) means comfort or fun, and this was a pretty upbeat comfortable little spot in a largely Korean area (I believe the chef was also Korean). The Ramen was OK, although my husband said his had too many bean sprouts. Our favorite thing was a fried appetizer with papery thin flakes on top that danced in the heat of the serving pan.

It has become one of our favorite places. The portion is big. The flavor is excellent and natural from the stock and ingredient. Definitely not the artificial crap fooling the unknowing ones thinking they know Asian food. Is it traditional traditional? Thats irrelevant. All you need to know is the ramen and udon are good. Have not really tried other non-noodle items.

Came for lunch and it wasnt a great experience. We both ordered ramen and it took probably 15 or 20 minutes to come out. Our ramen appeared to have spaghetti noodles. They must have run out of noodles and had to boil spaghetti. Usually ramen is ready right after you order. Hopefully it was just an off day. The soft boiled soy egg was the highlight.

The service is horrible. They have only one waitress and the place gets packed during lunch. Be careful when ordering we ordered Tonkatsu ramen and got some fried stuff which had horrible taste. The waitress never came to refill water or take the used dishes. Not coming back ever despite the place is close to our house.

Went here with a friend recently. I got the Udon soup for around $9, it was pretty good i was just still a little hungry after eating it. Would have been nice as a lunch meal on a cold day. I really liked the layout of the restaurant and the staff was quick and friendly. Food came out very very fast, always a plus.

So the Ramen here is not bad at all, but you can definitely tell that it has been influenced by Korean flavors and cooking. This Ramen is not your traditional Japanese style Ramen. So if you are looking for a twist or just something different in you food adventures this would be a place to consider.

Amazing Ramen bowls! The miso with chashu and egg is my favorite. If youre looking for a great bowl of Ramen with legit ingredients in Atlanta, look no further. Octopus bar has the only Ramen Ive ever had that topped this, but specializing in one bowl versus a variety is up to your pallette.

This place might be easy to overlook but their prices and overall food quality really packs a punch that makes you come back repeatedly when close enough to taste something off of their wholesome menu. Music and environment is just as pleasing as the service! 8/10! Clap clap!

Had Tonkatsu Ramen. Tasted good. Much better than instant ramen. About $10. No side dishes. Compared to Korean restaurants where you can have similar dishes with many side dishes for $10 or less, I thought, it was overpriced. Service was not that great either.

Very quaint place, very good service. The pork dumplings was seems homemade, fresh and steam perfectly! The consistency of the soup (Tonkotsu Ramen), was well made! Plenty of soup, plenty of needles, plenty of splices, a perfect combination!

Average seems to come to mind a lot here, average food, decent service and pretty expensive appetizers (I had 5 smalls pieces of meat for $5 dollars and it was missing a piece) so its ok overall there are way better choices.

As a connoisseur of all foods Japanese I am skeptical of Atlanta restaurants. However, the Tonkotsu Ramen at Raku really hit the spot. Hot, well seasoned and well presented, it is Ramen done right. I highly recommend it!

Tried their ramen and its not one of the best yet. The soup or broth could have been tastier and service could have been better also. I would get their rice set/combo instead of the ramen. Price is reasonable.

We just recently moved into the area and finally had the opportunity to try Ramen. So glad we chose this place! Our picky eater ate everything on the table! And our youngest loved the sesame sauce.

Everytime I go in here at night, they are closed early. There has been multiple times this had happen. Why list you are open late if you will close early all the time. Its false advertisement.

I have had Ramen a couple of times now. Raku is at the bottom of my favorites. Just not great ramen. Service was good and the atmosphere was good. 0 of 4 of our group enjoyed the meal.
