First off let me say this has to be THE WORST service Ive EVER experienced!! We had a small party of 9. We came in at 6:15pm was told the wait would be between 15-20 minutes, well that turned into an hour and 20. Order was finally taken at 7:40pm for 7 of us, the server forgot about two of us, so he came back at 7:45 to finish the orders, which had we not stopped him from going to another table he wouldnt have even come back. So as we sat there talking amongst each other, I noticed that party after party that were standing in line way after us, were being serviced in a timely manner, well a shorter wait than ours. So finally at 8:15 the server comes to tell us that 1/2 of what we ordered was no longer available. So we were able to substitute. OK fine. We still didnt get our food until 9:05pm. And all of our orders were wrong! By the time everything was corrected it was 9:30. The manager/owner at this point FINALLY showed his face. We explained in detail what the issue was, in an extremely calm demeanor and the owner makes the whole situation our fault with a given attitude. Sir, had you had enough food for the weekend and enough staff with effective communication we wouldnt have the problem. (Our group had been floating on the river for 3 hours prior to going to the restaurant, so we were super hungry and agitated.) We finally left the establishment after closing. Not that we were lollygagging, but thats how long the service took. Of and the owner/manager didnt even stay for that, just to add up charges for the things that were ok d to substitute for the items that were out. Oh yeah,They did offer us gumbo for the long wait, BUT ran out before they could serve all of us. So the minor accommodation that was offered was a fail too. So Mich more I could say but I think you get it. DONT GO THERE... PERIOD

This place definitely deserves 5 stars. From the ambience to the service to the food, it was a great and memorable evening. The ambience was represented as that of a seafood shack.. Upon entry, it felt tropical and modern for me. We went on a non-busy evening and there was no issue being seated and serviced quickly. We asked our server for suggestions and she suggested the Nola Cajun Shrimp dish. We order that and 2lbs of the snow crab legs with Fat Crab Special sauce. Upon arrival, both dishes were pretty hefty. First taste of the Nola Cajun Shrimp dish had me doing my happy dance. Whatever is in that sauce needs to be made illegal. No, let me take that back. It needs to arrive at my house 1-2 times a month and I can definitely use it in my daily cooking. When you lick your fingers because you dont want to take a chance by any of the sauce being misplaced outside of your mouth, that speaks volumes. Eat it with the garlic toast and it feels heaven sent. My mouth is watering writing this review. I digress. Our crab legs were tasty as well but it could not compare to our Nola Cajun Shrimp dish. Our servers were always attentive and checked on us periodically without be overbearing. There is plenty of parking because they are located in a shopping center. I am having visions of my next visit. This has been the best seafood experience for me ever. I say this with a smile on my face and a twinkle in my eyes. If you ever get the opportunity to go, drop everything and rush to experience this flavorful delight.

Phenomenal!!! My birthday lunch was here and I am a VERY happy girl. First, I must say that Diego was an awesome waiter! My husband and I shared 1/2 dozen Blue Point raw oysters that tasted like a refreshing dip in the ocean. Were not huge Gulf oyster fans, so we were more than pleased to find Blue Points here. Then the meal: we shared a boiled combo of 2 lbs of blue crabs, 1 lb of shrimp and also some corn on the cob , red potatoes and andouille sausage, all in one big bowl with the Fat Crabs special sauce. The sauce was delicious, a mixture of butter, garlic, old bay and some Cajun seasonings. We like spicy, but mild was just the right amount of heat for us---other choices were medium, hot, and numb. Diego supplied us with bibs, plastic gloves and plenty of napkins---diving in was messy, but SO worth it! He even gave us bibs and gloves for what we took home, which was 2 crabs and 6 shrimp--a great take home snack

My wife and I had the #3 combo(snow crabs, mussels, shrimps and veggies...it also had sausages in the bottom of the sauce) and a dozen fresh oysters, way too much food! But its so good that we almost finished it. Our order was more likely for 3 people, not 2. #3 was cooked to perfection and Fat crab medium sauce/seasoning was awesome. The table next to us ordered toasted bread and dipped it into the sauce. I wanted to do that but my wife was there. Ill come here next time without my wife for that ;-) My wife is taking some of her friend again this weekend, without me. Well be back again and again!!! Best time to go there is before 6:30 or after 8:00 on weekend. If you get there on the weekend rush, the food will take a LONG time....

The food was delicious. We ordered raw oysters, po boys, and a shrimp boil. Everything was really good- except the service. Our food took a while to come out, which would have been fine except the waitress didnt give us any indication of a delay. Our meals came out one at a time, which was bizarre because three of them were identical. When we asked about our dozen raw oysters we were told, we are working on that and then we were asked if we had wanted them before the meal- which of course we did but at that point the meal was on the table. We got 3 oyster forks for 4 people, asked for a 4th and were told they were working on that as well (?) We will be back, because like I said the food was great, but the service was C-.

I ordered 2lb of shrimp, 1lb of mussels and 1lb of clams to go with their signature sauce, Fat Crab Special and hot spice level. The sauces was wonderful. We saved the leftover sauces and bought extra seafood later to enjoy them one more time. However, their mussels are black mussels. There was no choice to choose and these are so small. The clams were small also relatively rather than other places. It was fine because the size of seafood could be better based on the market status and season. The worst part was it was overcooked. As all know, the overcooked seafood shrink and lost a softness of seafood meat. its like a well-done filet mignon which is a kill of tenderloin steak.

We all shared the mussels, clams, shrimp, king crab in the mild house sauce and it was meaty and tasty and good sized portions with potatoes and corn. Prices were spot on with market value. Waiter was kind of blah but he was there when you needed him and not when you didnt. I am definitely going back to try more of the menu. And, if you want lobster rolls (Saturdays only), show up for lunch as they apparently usually sell out. Suggestion for the owners: is it a seafood joint or a sports bar ? Decorate the surroundings with what is associated with the food fare. Take the jerseys and memorabilia home. The TVs can stay :D
