On valentines day, Daniel and I decided to come here for our date-night. From the outside, this place looks a little dicey, but dont let that deter or fool you. Inside is a totally different place. It doesnt smell funny (not like old fish), is pretty clean, the grills are spaced so it doesnt feel crowded at all! The food I rated as excellent. However, I feel I must explain it a bit. Their hibachi is really only fair quality. We both ordered the filet mignon and lobster hibachi. We got a plain tuna roll and a Victoria Secret roll to share. It was a mistake to go the hibachi route as well - it was way too much food after the sushi. The sushi was amazing (especially for being so far inland) and the hibachi rice was very good, but the meat itself was overcooked. Tough lobster, while still good, is still tough lobster! The salad was fine, you know, being a salad and all. Now for the service. While everyone was polite and courteous even down to the man who cleaned the grill afterward, HOWEVER - a huge however at that - due to the valentines day rush, they didnt have enough soup for our entire table. The waiter said he would bring out the house soups as soon as a new batch was done. Several minutes later, another table was served fresh, hot soup while the rest of our table never got theirs... ever! The waitstaff was really slow to move finished dishes off the bar. With so many people eating at one hibachi bar, there really wasnt spare space for all these extra salad and soup bowls. The hibachi chef we had wasnt all that fantastic. He dropped his spatula often, and was a bit sloppy with cooking. I could tell he was still really new to it, so Ill cut him some slack. I really do recommend this place - pick a less crowded and less popular night and just sit at the sushi bar (order hibachi there if you so desire). You wont have to worry about forgotten soups at the hibachi bar, and youll get your sushi much faster. Last but not least... I really do recommend the Victoria Secret roll. It is absolutely delicious and is a touch on the sweet side due to the mango and eel sauces. Worth every penny.

Seriously, dont waste your time or your money!! Ignore the old reviews - something has changed here. My fiancee and I had eaten there a few times until their fruit fly infestation became a big, gross issue. After a couple years, we decided to go back to check it out again and it was horrific. The flies were gone but the service and food were worse! Our food (including our salads, soup and appetizer) was very very late - arrived about an hour after ordering. When we asked the waitress for our bill at about the 45 minute point so we could leave, we were told no, our food was coming. We were TRAPPED!! Their food is clearly frozen. My fried rice had CORN, carrots and peas (frozen vegetable mix, anyone?) and a lot of black pepper in it. It was unlike any other fried rice Ive had (and this isnt rocket science--Ive made it too!). It took them 1.5 hrs. to deliver the Miso soup we ordered as an appetizer. When the waitress came back to the table, she said the cook was new and didnt show up on time for work, so he had to start everything from scratch when he arrived. Not my problem - fire the cook!!! (The people at the table behind us were upset as well--the waitress told me so and laughed, as if to say "Youre not the only ones." My fiancee ordered the Dragon Roll and he said the fish tasted off. We eat sushi at Daruma all the time and hes never complained about it, so I completely trust his judgment. I ordered fried rice with my hibachi chicken, which was very very dry and too spicy to eat. I dont think management cares, the waitresses dont care and obviously, the cook really doesnt need his/her job. Ill never go back again and Ill tell everyone I know to stay away!!! Go to Daruma instead (Its where Tokyo Steakhouse moved earlier this year.)

Oh boy!.. This place on the outside looks sooo shady! As a matter of fact it look like the cabin in the horror movie "Wrong Turn 2!" Lol! My drive was to have some good sushi without traveling all over the planet, and my hunger got the best of me. After checking reviews on several different social sites I decided to gamble the welfare of my family and give this place a try. Me and the kiddos entered the restaurant and the foyer or waiting area remind me of the Goldmine ride at Six Flags! A lot of woodwork and a big koi pond to the left. Now we enter a second series of doors and approached the hostess stand. The hostess was very energetic and cordial and she inquired if we wanted to be seated. I said "no" we like to make it to go order. Our order included chicken fried rice the Philadelphia, New York and spicy tuna sushi roll. And just like I always do! I scoped out the food score the food score....91! About 22 minutes later we received our order. Good portions on the rice and the sushi had great presentation and very tasteful but, kinda small. overall I was very pleased. Overall, I was very pleased! As a matter fact, I was more shocked about the positive experience more than anything else.

I came in one afternoon for lunch and was seated at the hibachi table with my girls quickly. There were 5 other people already seated who had empty salad and soup bowls. The lady came and rushed me through my order and almost demanded that I order a kids hibachi meal for my 5 year old who I had Said she could eat off of my plate since I know sometimes she just wont eat much. I ended up ordering the kids lunch. Our soup and salads and my sushi roll came out quickly. Later I found out the others at our table had been there for 45 minutes plus waiting. The chefs kept coming back and touching the griddle to see if it was hot. It was not. After 5 or so people came and left eventually we were on to getting our food. Everything tasted great. I think it was strange though that he cooked the veggies last. Other than that the food was really good and the portions were a good size for lunch. The lunch price is reasonable. I spent less than I had previously silent just for me to eat hibachi dinner at the large chain. Will definitely visit again when I want sushi and hibachi!

First time eating at this place today. I hated it. The service was aweful. My family and I had the hibachi meal and my husband ordered one sushi roll and sashimi. He waited about an hour before he got his sashimi and maybe 15 more minutes before getting his one and only roll. Mind you, rolls were being given to people who were seated after us. Unacceptable! Next, we put in the order for a hibachi meal. Our waitress did not inform us of a lunch or dinner portion when we ordered and automatically gave us the lunch portion that comes with less of everything. Did not know until the chef was giving out the meat/rice and served me 5 pieces of shrimp and I asked why so little portion? The waitress never came back to refill any drinks until the end of the meal when I requested a refill. But she somehow managed to bring the check out very quickly. This will be my first and last time patronizing this place. Was not worth it in time or money. The koi pond in the entrance is terrible. Please check it out if you visit. The reviews are misleading.
