I was walking with my son in downtown Douglasville, we were hungry, so we had to decide between Fabianos Pizza or the Irish Bred Pub & restaurant. I had thirty dollars on me, so I stepped inside, hoping to ask for a menu, look at the prices, and, if my son and I could eat for $30 or less, Id eat there. So I ask the lady for a menu, so I can just check out the prices, and she hands me one and tells me to sit anywhere. I decide at this point, It looks like Im probably eating here, as itd be embarrassing at this point to leave, as shes already told me to take a seat. Well, I walk downtown a lot with my son, and we both know there is a balcony area people are always sitting, overlooking a stage outside, and wed like to try that, so we ask if we could be seated up there. She immediately, and rudely, says no. My guess is that I could have sat there, but she didnt want to carry the food upstairs- which I can understand, but she could have at least answered politely. So I pick a table and sit down with my son to look at the menu and establish what I can afford to get. Well, guess what? The menu has no prices. At all. I ask if they have a kids menu, for my son, and they bring me a little paper menu that has pictures to color-with no crayons, and, of course, his menu doesnt have prices either. So I order the daily lunch special and a kids meal for my son, thinking it shouldnt be *too* much. The food itself, I must admit, was pretty good. I wouldnt particularly recommend the Cole-slaw, though. The meal did turn out to be under $30, including the tip, but I think its stupid to omit the prices of the food on a menu.

We recently moved to the area, and one of the top things we wanted to do was visit the Irish Bred Pub because it looked like a fun place to go. We finally got the chance to go, and sadly it was a big letdown. First, think of what you would expect to find at a place called Irish Bred PUB? Beer! Different varieties of Beer to suit any taste. We looked over the menu, and ordered samples of several varieties we wanted to taste. The waitress apologetically informed us they were OUT. Yep, thats right folks. The pub was completely out of no less than three of the items listed on the already kinda small list of draft beers. We ordered our food, and while the appetizer was decent, the main dishes were lackluster. The pastry I ordered was actually burnt black in places on the outside, and the meat inside was tough and dry. How do you dry out meat that is inside a pastry? I have no idea, but they somehow managed it. My husbands bangers and mash was very forgettable, I tasted it and had to agree with his opinion, not very good. After dinner, we had a dessert and Irish Coffee. These were pretty good, better than the entree at any rate. The bright spot in our evening was our waitress. Despite what must have been very stressful and upsetting to her, having to keep telling us they were out of items we asked for, she maintained a positive demeanor. She did her best, despite the situation, we appreciated her cheerful smile and good attitude.

Called in today March 21,2015 for an order A mia picked up the phone and then she put me on hung on up ...I mean hold. So I called back and there was an Amanda who picked up the phone I explained to her I was waiting to make a to go order she said yea uhuh what can do for you ...no Im sorry about that I then proceeded to ask her to give me a quick run down of what they serve since I had just driven by and wanted to patronize. She says oh my god.Seriosly Kuntry chick....? What do you want a sandwich she replies and then read them off quickly...I made two selections and she then said what do you want for your sides...Lady how in the hell do I know I just told you I drove by...I just selected some damn frys and apples that I did nt get with my order. She then says it will be about 20 min for real doe to make sandwiches? By the time we got there it ended up being a 35 min wait...do you think we got hey you want some free sewer water courtesy of Douglasville? Or I am sorry for your wait . Save your money and time please DO NOT GO TO THE IRISH BRED AND PUB! Why would I sit inside to eat if you cant even get a togo order up and ready in 15 Mins tops! Please just go to Firehouse Subs for a sandwich. Your customer service sucks and the food was truly just okay for 20.00

Horrible food quality and inexcusable, irresponsible behavior with customers credit cards -- that sums up our experience last night at this restaurant. The lamb stew had a half inch (no exaggeration) of grease floating on the top. Even the Manager stated that "that was gross" (her exact words). That dish should never have been served to any customer. Never. But worse, when our credit card was run for this horrible meal, the credit card was left laying on a counter, open and in full view, within arms reach of the bar patrons and anyone else that might walk by, for over 10 minutes. The server never remembered it, and it was not found laying there until I approached the server and asked where our card was. I have no words for how disrespectful and irresponsible this behavior is with a customers credit card. And to rub salt into this whole experience, the Manager never once approached us regarding either of these two issues. We were ignored until I asked to speak to her, as if she just wanted us to go away. After I approached her, she acknowledged that she knew of these two issues before I told her. Inexcusable behavior at this restaurant, all the way around. I cannot recommend any aspect of this restaurant to anyone. Never.

This place has great prices on beer.. We went in for the late night menu right at 9pm and neglected to take pictures, but we ordered fish n chips, 2 pint samplers, and a slider sampler for $41. The food is less impressive, though. My fried fish on the fish n chips was hard and kinda chewy but the tarter sauce was good that came with it. I asked for garlic fries, but they came out covered in oil to the point where they were soggy and dripping wet. Some of them were drier but some were just too much. Mostly there to see my friend so the late night food wasnt worth the time to complain about. She ordered the sliders and asked for only beef, no bacon, but they brought her bacon anyway. She spent half the time eating and half the time picking off bacon. Her bun was also toasted to a crisp on one of the sliders so she ended up just eating the beef patty (after picking off the bacon). Ive been there before and their food is better the earlier you go, so keep that in mind when planning your trip.

Ive been there a number of times for both lunch and dinner and found the food and the service to be excellent. My husband and I very much enjoy the area upstairs, both inside and on the balcony, when there is live music. Last weekend, in particular, even though it was crowded pre-St. Patricks Day, we had super service, great drinks and wonderful food. The busy servers were attentive and helpful. One of the best things about the venue is its location. Anything that is happening in and around the downtown Douglasville, GA area can be accessed from the Irish Bred. Its a great location for meeting your friends, watching concerts and just visiting. Wed highly recommend it.
