I had a horrible experience at this bar last night, I went in for the second time and due to my button down shirt I was blatantly disregarded by the bartender, and OWNER, of the bar. I was told that there is some discrimination towards "fratty" people. I am a grad student who is not in a fraternity I just happened to be wearing a button down. I attempted to shake the bartenders hand and introduce my self and he looked at my hand and said, "what is that for?" The bartender, and OWNER, then turned away from me and started talking to someone while i was obviously trying to order a round of beers. I will not be going back to this bar. I know that it attracts people who are living alternative types of lives which I respect, but I shouldnt be treated differently because I bought a nice shirt from goodwill.

Not my cup of tea. Sloppy, unruly staff create an environment of unconscious busyness. By day it looks like an empty dump. At night it looks better as the people fill in. The music, especially the live music, is way too loud. Live gigs feel like you are stuck in the garage with the band. Noise bounces off all the walls, speakers suck. Some people love this place, so you need to decide for yourself. I just can do without it.

This unique spot is for the wallflowers. The staff treats everyone that walks in as if they are a regular. It can easily become ones favorite place to be. No dress code, wear your pjs if you want. The female owner is a true gem! She is a master of the kitchen and shows appreciation torwards the staff and customers. Located right off of the square.

Its got panache, but youve gotta be able to handle yourself well. They dont hold your hand, theyre blunt, and not afraid to cut you down if youre slow or dopey. If youre looking for pampering, this is the wrong stop. If youre looking for a place where everybody knows your name, it fits a locals and every other demographic. Good luck.

Its always so stuffy and u cant tell if its from the lack of breathable oxygen or the horrific smell of hippie. Because they are the majority of what keeps Crotty in business. It is however a great place for them but nobody I knows is a patron of this bar and neither am I.

Best bar in town. As long as you want to stay away from the damn frat guys and sorority girls. One of the last real bars out there. Grab a beer, sit down, have a cigarette, and listen to good music. This is bar, not a fancy restaurant. Just a bar with a bar feel.

Love the music and the people in attendance. But the unconscionable behavior of the hostile, rude, co-owner/ bartender (all the regulars know exactly what I am talking about) knocks this place down to a 1.

The owner is a complete jerk. Make sure you have money to tip for every beer you purchase, or this guy will cuss you like a dog. This is the second time this has happened to me here. Worst bar in town
