I first visited the Bucketshop about 7 years ago and have come here often. Ive brought many friends, associates and had many lunch meetings at this establishment. After Saturday, 03/29/14, I will never step foot back here again to spend another dime. I brought my daughter (13) along with my sister and 2 other friends to the Bucketshop for dinner around 6 p.m. When we walked in, we were all but ignored until I asked "do we just seat ourselves"?, which was strange because Id always been seated before by a hostess. My daughter immediately asked me, "mom, why did the lady (waitress) roll her eyes at us?" I didnt see her so I said Im not sure hon. We proceeded to the table where we seated ourselves and I went to the restroom. I came back a couple of minutes later to find my party waiting for me by the bathroom hallway saying that we couldnt stay because my daughter was underage. Thats odd. Id brought my daughter here before and Ive seen other kids there before. After all, it was dinner time and Id never known a cafe/bar grill to say they cant serve me because my daughter was underage. Um, its a restaurant, not a bar where only alcohol is served. Yes, I understand alcohol is sold there but isnt alcohol sold in all restaurants and other establishments? So, I proceeded to ask a young black guy standing there had they changed their rules because my daughter had been with me many times before when I was there to eat. His response was valid enough to say "Im not sure maam. I just started." By the same hostess/waitress that rolled her eyes when we walked in was the same woman on the side of the bar rolling her eyes yet again and saying to another waitress "I already told them we cant serve them." Mind you, I wouldnt (and couldnt) play the race card because I"m black and this waitress was black. I just dont know what her sorry attitude was about from minute we walked in the door. So, my sister asked her what was the issue with us and she said, in a very smart a**ed way, "I havent said a word to any of you". Of course now, everybodys irritated. The manager (and I use that term lightly) then told me to get out of his establishment. His exact words were "get lost and dont come back." As much money as Ive spent in that establishment personally and via my company, NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

This place is an amazing local brew pub, with tasty and reasonably priced pub grub. Actually, their burgers are AMAZING and the best I have had anywhere in Atlanta!!! Not only is their food and drinks tasty and delicious, but they are also reasonably priced! They have a nice selection of draft beers, anything you could want from a bar from a cocktail perspective, and super tasty food! For the most part, most of the wait staff are very nice and attentive comma and it is great as a Beer Drinker because you can order pitchers of beer if you have a larger group. I am a local who can walk to this restaurant and it is my standby, I have tried one restaurant after the other nearby and Im always disappointed. The bucket shop Cafe is my tried-and-true place to go when people come to town! If the weather is nice, I highly recommend sitting on their newly renovated patio. Sometimes the music or Sports shows volume can be too loud inside, that is my only complaint. Otherwise, the food and the drinks are excellent and reasonably priced! BTW, my fave is the Ultimate Cheeseburger, cooked medium, with bacon and guacamole added. Awesomeness!!! And Terrapin Hopsecutioner IPA on draft. With tater tots! Enjoy!!!

Parking was easy to locate, and directions were posted within the parking deck. The building attendant was also helpful. I was surprised to see such a wide selection of beers at very reasonable prices. There was no host at the door, so i sat myself at the bar. No bartender showed up to wait on anyone in my field of view for 5 minutes. When she did show up, she was wearing yoga pants. Other waiters were wearing jeans. Now I understood why their prices arent higher. This bar opens at 11, and they were out of the "special" at 12:15. Given how uncrowded the place was, I imagine they just didnt bother to prepare for the day. I ordered a guacamole burger, medium rare, with sweet potato fries. I asked if the burger came with cheese. The bartender said yes, pepper jack, then checked the menu, and told me no, and asked if I would like to add cheese. The burger came out as ordered and delicious. The fries came out cold and tasted like they were fried yesterday. I am currently looking at no less than 6 flies buzzing around my beer glass. Overall, I was thoroughly unimpressed. I would not return here.

BEWARE of Dishonest waitress. If you go here, you better check your credit card receipt and bill closely. I had three beers and sat at the bar. When I got ready to leave, I asked the bar tender to get me my bill. He said he had already handled it and pointed to my receipt on the bar. I thought to myself, I dont remember signing it. I glanced at it and saw it had been completed and put it in my pocket and went back to my hotel. When I got to the hotel, I noticed that the tip on my check was $8.50 even though the beers were only $17.01 I usually tip between 15% and 20%, not the 50% that had been added. Then I noticed that the signature was not mine. The next day, I called the restaurant and reported it to a woman who answered the phone. She said she would have the owner call me. The owner never did call. The waitresses name on the check is Jorjina. So, either go to a bar with honest waitresses or be sure to look at your receipt when you leave and check your credit card bill.

We had nick tonight on the patio as a server. I am personally a waitor myself. I did not tip him. As hard as that was he deserved it. I came to Atlanta to visit my cousin and his friends and I felt like I was a bother. He wasnt attentive. When my brother asked for a soda because he does not drink alcohol he said heres your Sprite and relentlessly dropped it in front of him. That was my younge brother he did that to. I wanted to punch his face in but did not because I didnt want to cause a scene. I was hoping for a better experience but was not able to have that. If you come to bucket shop and you have nick as a server ask for another. He may be the reason that the place losses business. As a prior restaurant manager he is a bad egg that you must let go of. One top of it all he mentioned talking about having sexual relations with a goat!!!!!! I am irate.

Never actually got eat here, as its not family friendly. Looked cool on website and other places but they dont allow kids under 18. We were visiting town and had walked over to catch a game. If you have a family, go elsewhere. If you want a kid free environment, (which I totally understand), this is probably a place for you. My biggest complaint is that the mobile website was hard to navigate and it wasnt clearly stated that kids werent allowed. Should be on front page where it talks about being a "neighborhood hangout that treats you like family." I assumed it was a normal sports grill. They were polite when they told us to leave, but it took several minutes of looking to find this info on the website. Its there, but you need to look. So, watch out if youre with your kids. This isnt the place for you.
