I only used the take-out, the atmosphere and service were fine. The last 2 times I went there the food was no longer excellent but AWFUL!!! The food no longer tastes home cooked and the portions were smaller. It is obvious that they are just heating and serving food straight out of the can, adding no seasonings except for salt. The older women who used to cook/prepare the food apparently have been replaced by younger, inexperienced people. I used to rush to get there before lunchtime to avoid long lines. The last 2 times I went, I was running late and arrived at the height of the lunch hour. There were no long lines. Now I know why. The 1st time I got bad food I thought it might have been a fluke so I went back once more, however, the bad food was no fluke. I no longer go there. This establishment will close if the food doesnt revert to its previously good standards and with decent-sized portions.

I went to S & S today and purchased the liver dinner. I tasted a small piece of the liver and it tasted wild. This prompted me to look at the liver under the gravy and onions, the meat was not fully cooked, blood came out of it. The gravy had gotten into the sweet potato souffle and I could not eat it or the half cooked liver. My prayer is I dont get sick from the small piece I did taste. I called the manager (Burley) who told me to bring the plate back whenever in the area and hed make me happy. I cant be made happy, I dont have food to eat today, I have to make another trip to their restaurant and be inconvenienced. An apology and more than bring the plate back should have been done. The cook should be made aware of this unsafe practice.

This restaurant was recommended me to me through one of my employees. I decided to stop today. As I stood in line my 2 yr old begin to cry because he was sleepy and his cup was empty. My plan was to get my food and him something to drink and go. As I stood in line the ghetto cashier rolled her eyes and held her ears as if she never heard a child cry. Then an older lady came from the back yelling hey, hey, hey as if he was getting on her nerves. I was in there less than two minutes due to the reactions and bad customer service. Ill take my money where the employees are courtesy and the service is appreciated. Whats funny is the same people that work there i would never hire for my company.

I been back here twice my mother started coming here labor day she ordered Dressing she gave me a taste and i promise HAND DOWN best dressing flavor was popping I was hook i pass this place when in the area but never knew food was on point I ordered pints of food and never been disappointed Customer Service is Flawless best then any place Ive been to in Atlanta great place to get home good food on a budget. Mac is great southern fried chicken and dressing is my favorite. For now on this is the place for me and my family. We are all Family now ha ha ha ha!!!! My wife and I were told our meals were specials. When we got to the register the "manager" proceeded to charge us for each item individually. When we called him on it he says oh okay I will look out for you, but out of spite charged us for dinner rolls which were also listed in plain view as being included. I challenged the price again he then ignored me. I couldnt even eat my food I was so pissed. This is the worst customer service I have had in a long time. I will never eat here again and I live in the neighborhood and I support our businesses.

OK I have ate here three times since I lived close by. Twice for lunch and this is my last time eating their breakfast. I ordered the basic breakfast and added some Bacon and sweat tea.My total was 8.31$. My grits were Luke warm, the eggs were wet and made from powder. Had I known the breakfast was this bad Id have just did something at home. I dont recommend their breakfast to anyone. Not good.

Sorry for the bad review on here but I have to make it plan and clear I been eating here since I was a child I am 36 now the food still taste the same just tell them how you want your food they will make sure its right no need to be ugly just cause you tried it one or twice next time just go to a fast food place maybe you will feel better

This is my go-to spot for Thanksgiving…there turkeys are > 12 lbs w/best drippings for dressing as well as the best sweet potato pie around!!!! Their to-go section promptly serves Southern favorites such as fried, chicken, macaroni & cheese, collard greens, squash casserole, steak, rice & gravy for under $10!

S&S is such a delightful place to go to eat. I used to come here all the time after church when I was a kid. The food is fabulous and the waitresses are friendly. If youre in Atlanta, you should definitely try it out. They have above average Southern cooking. Try the chicken and dumpling!

The only thing they didnt have was cocktail sauce for my fried flounder :-( other than that everything was great. S&S is an old school cafeteria like Piccadilly. The service was very friendly and the prices are cheap. When you need some easy meat and three-- this is a quick place to go.

Food was fairly delicious, line was long today so by the time I got to register checkout food was no longer hot. Shirelle assigned area waitress was busy, but did very job serving her busy corner. Sunday crowd very busy between 1:00 - 3:00 long line.

Food is absolutely great, to me its considered soul cafeteria food, best cafeteria food I ever. Im originally from Miami and its not many soul food or southern spots there Atlanta is the melting pot for good food. This place is definitely recommend.

The food here is horrible..Its either going to be cold or dried out. Some of the waitresses are on it the others are not so efficient. I wouldnt recommend this place at all. Piccadilly is better!!!
