We went there on a Monday for the Bite 30 menu (fixed price, three-course meal). Sadly, the Assistant Manager who greeted us wasnt appropriate or welcoming at all. First thing he did was tell us that there were no more options for desert. I looked at him blankly, wondering what he would say next, since desert is to be one of the included courses. Finally I asked if they could do something, a scoop of ice cream, anything really. He said, no. His attitude and body language were clear: he wasnt interested in trying to figure something out; he couldnt care less if we stayed or left, so we left. Their Bite 30 menu looks cool. And we totally understand that sometimes kitchens run out of something. But a manager is supposed to figure out a way to make it right. A manager is supposed to want the business. And in this case, this guy did nothing at all, and really, seemed to be encouraging us to leave. So we did. On a Monday. Bad day for restaurants. There we were wanting to spend a couple hundred bucks.... I wonder if his manager knows that he runs off business.... Not cool customer service at all. We walked up the road to Wine Room and had great beers and charcuterie, wonderful service, and a great evening.

First Sushi Ive had in a long time that was actually worth the price theyre charging. They also have a nice Sake list (try the Fukucho "Moon on the Water" from Miho Imada one of the few women sake master brewers in Japan). Beyond sushi we had some amazing entrees, including the barbecued calamari. Everything can be served family style, which is how we went. What made the night was how knowledgeable our server was with the menu and how attentive he was to our table throughout the night, if a plate was slow getting out of the kitchen, hed let us know. Highly recommend Umi for dinner and cant wait to get over there for lunch. I hear their Bento boxes are amazing.

I got food poisoning , Over priced and the rolls were soggy and disguesting . I ordered the Karashishi (raw) 15 Tempura shrimp, cucumber, cream cheese, wrapped with baked eel, spicy tuna, snow crab/krab salad*, avocado, spicy mayo & eel sauce. This roll was OK . Kinda just regular tasting sushi not worth the price honestly . and Volcano (spicy) 13 Pressed (osaka style) krab roll with scallop & crab/krab topping*, scallions & eel sauce Truly a disguesting roll . If you like cold seafood mashed potatos by all means get it. And it was reccomended by the waitress .

WOW!♡ This place is pure magic! My fiancé took me here and I was so impressed!♡ We go out pretty often and try new things all the time but this place really outdid my expectations!♡ Our server, Kevin, was so kind and the other workers we interacted with were so incredibly sweet! We even saw some of them see their regulars and have long conversations with them, it was very welcoming! The food was to die for, but you dont have to take my word for it, look at these pictures and see for yourself!♡

Fresh unique sushi is why we enjoy going to Umi. Everyone there is very friendly and attentive, we always feel well taken care of there. They seem to have something new on the menu Everytime we go to try, so it makes it fun to experience new foods each visit. They have great atmosphere inside the restaurant as well as the outside dinning area on park Ave.

Easily one of my top three Japanese restaurants in Orlando (the others being Kabooki and Kappo). Ive been here several times, and each time gets better and better. From the ramen, to the innovative sushi rolls, to the delicious chirashi, everything is a winner. Service has always been excellent, and the prices are in line with most other sushi bars.

Fantastic food and great service. Reasonably priced especially considering the quantity and quality of ingredients. The Robatayaki charcoal grill means that there is something for everyone, even the non-Sushi lovers. We have been coming here since they opened and our awesome recent visit just assures that we will be coming back.

Fantastic modern Japanese restaurant, really enjoyed our meal. Fresh vegetables and food not overly seasoned. Reasonably priced and our waiter was perfect! Very knowledgeable and friendly. $4.00 Chardonnay at happy hour was a pleasant surprise! Will definitely revisit.

3.5 stars, a little over price, had to wait for 30 exact mins, the food was ok, friendly staffs. Pay $21 for 2 dishes, one was ok, one was disappointing. Happy hours $6 Hurricane roll with fried noodle was nice, the noodle part was flavourful

We walked in because we had read some good reviews but I was still shocked by how great it was! Creative and yummy food and not as expensive as some other places on Park Ave. Do yourself a favor and try it.

This is the absolute best Sushi in Central Florida! Its on Park Avenue in Winter Park which happens to be one of the nicest places to visit. The service was perfect and the food amazing.
