Wonderful sushi, fresh wahoo and mackerel - wow! We always finish with salmon roe sashimi and it was very fresh, crisp, light, and salty. We find salmon roe is a darn good way to know if a place only serves the fresh stuff and this place was spot on. We came over at 7:30 ish on a Friday, no reservation (Jan 13th). Was a bit crowded - we asked for 2 at the sushi bar and was told 20 minutes. Went next door for a drink (Outback) and back in 20 minutes was seated right away. Service was just fine. Sushi was reasonably priced, of course, with a bottle of Santa Margarita pinot grigio at $45 our bill for 2 was $90 plus tip. Id say as close to Yu-Mi Sushi at Promenade on A1A Alternate for quality / price but with a nicer decor and better service.

The first thing you notice is how nice it looks. Modern chairs nice lighting and it has a fresh appearance. Im a big time sushi eater and even though the place is pretty the sushi is very OK. The sushi rice itself was not on point, a bit mushy and a bit too much vinegar. The salmon was good quality. Staff was fine, my server did a good job. I had to come back and edit my server did an amazing job. Overall Ebisu beats them hands down in quality and value.

The Quality and size of the sushi rolls are unbelievable, best prices in all of south Florida. The Sake list a minimal but fair priced. The atmosphere is what speaks for itself. You close the draps for your little room, the music, and its almost as your in Japan!! If you choose tempura just do not let it sit there, otherwise it will get soggy, Eat it while its HOT!! The only sushi place in south florida worth driving 1n hour + for -Good Sake & Empty Glasses

Sushi Yama is like family to me. I have been frequenting their Boca Raton location for over 10 years and actually was hired to photograph the grand opening for this WPB location. Their food is consistently amazing, especially the Tom Kha Gai (coconut lime) soup and Pad Thai. Everything is always super fresh, and the owner, Adam, not only works as a head sushi chef but even helped build his restaurants.

Sushi Yama has great menu selection matched with a pleasant, hip atmosphere. The Sushi Rolls are made with large pieces of fresh fish. The food is inexpensive, which, is surprising because the quality and portions are simply fantastic. Try the conch... it is firm but not chewy. Perfect. I highly recommend Sushi Yama if you are in Palm Beach Gardens and looking for quality sushi.

the wait is never longer than 5 minutes, the waiters are friendly, food is amazing. the sushi is huge and at a fair price. i recommend: lobster-bomb roll, rainbow roll, volcano roll, better yet order the whole menu cause everything is delicious.but if u ever want something besides sushi then i would definitely recommend the "unagi don bowl", it is an amazing sight to behold!!!

So I swung in for lunch while staying at a nearby hotel. I had bento box #7 which included chicken teriyaki. For $12.95 the portion size was great. The sushi seemed fresh and of decent quality. The chicken was good and it even came with a salad with ginger dressing that was quite good. It also included a fried dumpling and bite of chocolate cake! I will be back for sure!

James is out of his mind. Their food is great!! The shrimp tempura is not the best Ill say that but the rest is great. The service is slow when its busy to the point of being unbearable. But its getting better and when the waitresses are available the are very nice and sweet and dont get all up in your space like at duffys! Best sushi and cheapest in the area!

My wife and I just made a visit for the first time tonight. I CANNOT say enough about this place. The food was great, the selection outstanding, the fish was very fresh, and most of all, the chefs have great personality. This is now our absolute go to sushi restaurant. If youre not sure where to go, take this review as a sign... GO TO SUSHI YAMA!

Im more a traditionalist than new-fangled when it comes to my sushi, but this place serves excellent traditional sushi as well as amazing new "super-sushi" rolls. Try the Lobster Bomb, a lobster tail tempura in a sushi roll. Next time Im in town from London, Sushi Yama will be on my hit list.

Went there for lunch after noticing some of the good reviews. I should have noted that these reviews are from years ago. Had some sushi rolls and my friend had a bemto box with some tempura shrimp and beef/broccoli. Everything was just so bland and tasteless...not to mention the rude waiter

After eating there for many years, the food has gone downhill. Kids got chicken teriyaki that was burnt and smothered in teriyaki sauce. Told the waiter the kids could not eat it, and nothing was done to correct inedible meal. Staff looks disgruntled, eslecially hostess.

Great atmosphere, amazing sushi chef. Pleasant and kind and making sure you are well fed and happy. Sushi and sashimi was amazing, good price. Some extras across the sushi bar. Beer, wine and saki only. Definitely recommend, cant wait to get back.

I have gone to many sushi restaurants. This is by far the worst. We ordered three different dishes - all of them were prepared the same with a similar taste - very bland. We ordered a soup - it was too salty. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Went here for the first time yesterday, and Sushi Yama is now my #1 place to eat Sushi in West Palm Beach. It has the right mixture of ambience, talented chefs, portion size, service, and pricing. Truly a hidden gem near the Treasure Coast!

This is one of the worst meals I have ever had. I ordered for pick up and showed up to the restaurant after half an hour only to wait another half hour for my cold, soggy food. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Love the staff there! Everyone is great! The sushi is ALWAYS so fresh and everything taste delicious. Honestly love this place WAY MORE than kabuki. If youre looking for saki try the negori (unfiltered) amazing!

Well I guess Sushi Yama does. The california rolls were average but my favorite spider roll didnt taste very good. The people however were excellent and the service is outstanding.

Great service and even better sushi. 10 times better than the sushi place across the street named JO.
