If I were to rate this place based solely on the quality of sashimi I had that night, this would be a five star venue. Issues with service made me knock this down however. This is a higher end (for Tampa) sushi spot but it also boasts a very good menu selection of Korean dishes. There is bar seating or dining area tables. Sushi chefs seemed to be the stars of the show here as they were friendly, quick, and focused on detail. My ahi was cut right and seemed fresh. Even the lower end white fish had a nice and fresh buttery taste. This is something I have been hunting for since moving back from Hawaii. The only regret I have is the service here. We had what I hope is the unfortunate luck of a sub-pat server who was slow, distant, and unhelpful. Questions were met with shrugs and answers that indicated an inability to budge on simple substitutions. There were several instances of no water replacement and my hot tea was never offered a refill. Bottom line: this seems to be a great place to find excellent sashimi in the area without breaking the bank but I would love to come back and see better service for the amount of money expected.

Ive tried other places like Soho Sushi and Samuri Blue and nothing has beat Sushi Ninja. We found out about this place because it was right down the street from us but it is so good. The place is actually fairly large and you can have large parties there and see the sushi being rolled in the main dining area. Waitresses are extremely friendly and actually take some time to talk to us. For the sushi, weve tried several things on the menu, from cooked to raw. Their speciality rolls is what I recommend getting. The speciality Volcano, Crazy Ninja and Lightning roll are are "go tos" because you cant beat them. The other places Ive been too have "specialty rolls" but they are small and overpriced. I actually feel like you get what your paying for here. Whats great is its not crowded either like Samuri Blue. We could barely move in Samuri Blue and had to shuffle around in our chairs at dinner so people could get by us. By far my best sushi spot Ive found for the atmosphere, quality, cost and friendly staff!

I was invited to Sushi Ninja Tampa by a Korean. It is one of his favorite places. I can see why. I had eaten at Sushi Ninja Brandon several weeks ago based on his recommendation and enjoyed the food there. Tonight was no different. The food was exceptionally fresh and well prepared. The service was great, everything was spotlessly clean, the atmosphere was peaceful and attractive. I could tell my Korean friend was pleased with everything because it was authentic and of such a high quality. There were five of us and everyone had an excellent meal. There were lots of dishes on the table – everything was good. The place is much larger than it seems from the outside. In addition to the main dining area, there were two rooms for separate groups – a large one for about 40 and a smaller one too. It would be a good place for a party or meeting. As we left tonight my friend made sure he had his bag of food he had ordered to go. It may be something special for later with his ninja brothers.

Sushi Ninja’s MENU CAN BE OVERWHELMING WITH KOREAN DISHES, SUSHI ROLLS, typical local Japanese, and alcoholic beverages. Would this place deliver only quantity over quality? However everything was great-- NOT PHENOMENAL BUT STILL DELICIOUS. Our SIMPLE TUNA ROLL AND SALMON ROLL revealed Rice & Fish with great texture and a slight squish while the Fish flavors were subtle. Our KOREAN DISHES CAME WITH BANCHAN (little side dishes, mostly Kimchee-like) and that helped to REALLY fill us up. The NOODLES OF MY JAJANGNYUN (thick Noodles blackened with Soybean Paste mixed with Diced Pork and Veggies) were initially all stuck together but this very filling dish TASTED GREAT AND GAVE ME LEFTOVERS. Fiance’s Gal Bi Tang (Beef Short Rib Soup with Glass Noodles) needed Salt but the Meat was cooked very soft. The price (close to $16) seemed high.

I am from Alpharetta, Ga but I am constantly craving Sushi Ninja. Every year when I visit the Brandon area, I always stop by Sushi Ninja. I am always impressed with the service and quality of food. The owner Mimi is always so welcoming and inviting. The waiters are also very attentive to my needs. The sushi chefs always presents an array of fresh fish and delicious rolls that are pleasing to my eyes and taste buds. And the price is definitely worth the quality that is offered. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for the locals and the out of towners. I am ecstatic to try new the Tampa location with its addition of Korean food to the menu. I will definitely be checking out this venue on my next trip to Florida.

First off, the server (Suenghee) was hands down the BEST server I have ever had, in any restaurant... PERIOD. Im NOT joking. She was clever, funny , energetic, etc... the list goes on. All the aforementioned characteristics were ALL 100% GENUINE too. Now on to the food. Appetizer: the Spicy Tuna Bomb ($9) was absolutely spectacular. Its a deep fried jalapeno with spicy tuna and cream cheese. The jalapenos are slices in half length-wise, then filled to the brim with the spicy tuna and cream cheese. Dinner: Volcano roll and Fire roll, both were excellent. I topped everything of with a 22oz Kirin Light. I thoroughly enjoyed myself here.

Man, no one has ever told me about this place and it was pretty darn good. It wasnt the top of the line sushi (like Samuari Blue or similar), but reasonably priced and definitely above the grade that you get at places like Publix. Service was good and we got served pretty fast. Busy but not too crowded on a Friday night and our drinks were pretty good too. Coming back for sure and a good mix up to Chef Thai and Sushi and Soho Sushi. Better for me as its super close.

The food is wonderful and the atmosphere is very relaxing. I am not a seafood eater so I am only giving my review for the Korean food not involving seafood. The Bulgogi pork and beef are so good. Just the right amount of spice or sweetness (pork is spicy and beef is sweeter). Their desserts are huge as well. The owners are welcoming and the staff are very friendly and resourceful!

I dont usually write reviews, but after a great experience at Sushi Ninja I just had to share my thoughts. The atmosphere was very trendy but you will still be able to hold a conversation without yelling. The entire staff was very polite and inviting. Our waiter Adam was very knowledgeable about the menu and attentive. The food was absolutely perfect. I cant wait to go back again.

Went here not expecting much, but I was blown away by just about everything. The dining area is amazing. We had some sushi and chicken tempura. Both were perfectly made, and looked great on the plate. The food was out quickly, but we went at 4 so it wasnt busy (most sushi places arent even open at that hour). Our drinks were refilled quickly, and service was quick.
