Placed an order earlier today, spoke to a gentlemen and advised him that I would like to place an order for a BURNT ENDS Sandwich, the guy proceeds to advise me that he doesnt know how much the total was but told me it was around $8-$9 and assured me that the Burnt ends sandwich came with sides. Instead I got a burnt ends dinner, However I was at work at the time my food was picked up by my boyfriend. The food came out to $17.00. when I opened my food, the food was OVER COOKED & hard and not what I ordered!!! I was also told that the sandwich came as a meal. I tried calling them back to advise them my order was incorrect, I spoke to another guy and he advised me that the sandwich and the burnt ends dinner is the same price which it isnt and I have placed an order here before and have had similar issues with my order. However I tried explaining my issue with my order and the guy that answered the phone advised me he was the MANAGER immediately starts talking over me, couldnt voice my issue. So my issue was never resolved, I paid $17.00 for complete TRASH! I will NEVER order from them again, the customer service experience was absolutely unacceptable and will NEVER advise anyone to order from here either! Will upload pics later!!! Def not worth the money spent have had better BBQ a lot cheaper!

Great atmosphere with the outdoor seating and decor. No doubt somebody put money and thought into this place. However, I am a famous daves kind of bbq guy, so maybe my standards are high. I have no problem paying for a quality meal, however the food was not horrible, for damn near $20 cash, what had recieved was a 2 very small sides and an ultimately disapointing bowl of brisket burnt ends. Most people who dont know any better would just take that and be happy. I am used to A BBQ joint putting enough food on your plate to be full and satisfied. For $20 I could have went anywhere downtown even to the holmliest of places and at least gotten full. When someone that knows BBQ goes to a BBQ place and drops a $20 bill, I dont care if your getting that beef from the cellars of heaven, I want a stinking pile of meat. Overpriced, not impressed.

Was this normal or abnormal? There was PLENTY OF CONFUSION BY THE FRONT STAFF despite it being a slow day. Somehow Fiance’s meal sides were incorrect. Then the person behind us was given a ‘dinner’ instead of a ‘sandwich.’ They also completely forgot to give us our Toasts. Anyway, my PULLED PORK DINNER WAS GOOD- NOT MIND-BLOWING IN FLAVOR OR TEXTURE. The Jalapeno Mac & Cheese was enjoyable and filling but the Collard Greens were overly salted. The Ribs were also okay—wished the Meat was more tender. This was a DECENT, LOW-PRICED FOOD OPTION in Downtown Tampa with an attractive OUTDOOR DINING AREA (shaded with slow fans)

Holy Hog has been a staple in Tampa for a few years now. If Tampa wasnt so full of rednecks, it would have put Sonnys out of business already. The downtown location, situated on the corner of Franklin on Kennedy offers up all of the same staples that made Holy Hog so popular. What is great about this location is the outside bar with a pretty substantial offering of local beers for you to sample while you watch the games while enjoying the atmosphere. Get yourself a heaping tray of their "Loaded Hog Fries" and youll leave stuffed as you try to waddle home.

I have ate here many times, and at first loved their food. However, when i started going there during off peak hours, the quality of the food is really poor. Everything taste dried out or over cooked. Which leads to me my next point. I have decided they are too expensive to eat there regularly. For just me and friend to get lunch cost $28. That was just for a dinner meal, a sandwich, and two teas. I would still recommend this place, put only during peak hours to ensure freshness of the food.

Not sure what to expect, we ordered an excellent pint of Fat Tire, ordered the brisket dinner with a side of Latin Street Corn and Jalapeno Mac & Cheese. Frank, our bartender/server (we sat outside on a warm breezy evening) recommended we put the Holy Gold sauce on the mac & cheese-that was a great recommendation! I ate with colleagues who are from Texas and Kansas City, both loved the brisket and Burnt Ends. I plan on returning the next time Im in Tampa!

Pork was OK, nothing you cant make yourself at home. Cole slaw was nothing more than chopped cabbage, had to toss it out. Black-eyed peas were very good though. Very loud, recommend getting your food to-go and enjoy the park next door. For the amount of food you get i thought the dinner was over-priced but you have to consider the location. I wont be spending my lunch money there any more.

I got their pulled pork and the Texas brisket. Both were quite tasty and flavorful. Brisket was tender enough, but not the best ive ever had. A friend got the burnt ends, which are amazing. If you dont know, burnt ends are essentially the ends of a brisket, so theyre usually mostly bark and theyre typically pretty fatty. But man they taste so good. You dont even need sauce!

The food is awesome (Ive had the brisket, pulled pork, and burnt ends). Ive only go after the lunch crowd is dying down when the staff has likely had their patience at the breaking point, so the service leaves a bit to be desired. If you take your food to go, make sure you sauce up outside, those tiny BS containers of sauce arent enough for anything on the menu.

I was in Tampa for a 4 day event and went to eat there on the last day. The staff treated us like we were an inconvenience. They were out of about 1/3 of the menu. No joke. Before we left they were out of ICE. Seriously, they were out of brisket for dinners but had brisket for sandwiches. They ran out of pork and their name is hog.

Excellent BBQ house. They make all of their meats on-site. I ordered the brisket dinner and was not disappointed. It came with 2 sides. I ordered the corn fritters and fries, as well as a Root beer. There was plenty of food on the plate, but the price was a little expensive. I would definitely go back for another round

Would not eat again I do not recommend. Small sides plus didnt even have side I wanted. Burnt ends served in pool of grease. Pulled pork drier than the Sahara desert. Mac and cheese more like just Mac. Took 10-12 minutes to get chicken tenders. The bread was the only good thing. I would rather eat at McDonalds.

Angel the manager was very friendly. His staff was good too. Chicken was a little dry but the pulled pork was great. Sides were average. They have a bar outside beside the restaurants limited outdoor seating, but it was slow when we got there (a Summer Friday at 5 PM) so it was fine. Not a bad joint.

Pretty good BBQ every time Ive been. Decent selection of rotating taps at the outdoor bar. Not usually a wait outside for dinner (bar service only, no table service) . At lunch this place gets a heck of a line out the front door, but it appears to move pretty quickly.
