El trato no es muy cordial. La espera por la comida fue demasiada, 40 minutos para los entremeses y una hora 15 minutos para la comida. La comida sabía bien, pero los utensilios y los platos adicionales que pedimos estaban sucios. También la cocina se veía deprimente. Para colmo, me hicieron cargos adicionales y le añaden la propina de 18% sin el consentimiento del cliente. No me entregaron el recibo desglosando los artículos que cargaron a la tarjeta, tuve que exigirlo y fue entonces que me doy cuenta de los cargos adicionales. No vale la pena ni probar la comida. Evite el mal rato...

My personal experience at El mofongazo was bad to say the least. I was very enthusiastic about going to get some authentic Puerto Rican food and I was so disappointed with the whole experience. I ordered the Arroz con gandules the pork and onions and the yuca with Mojo, my sons who accompanied me to the restaurant ordered the Arroz con gandules the pork chops and my oldest son ordered white rice with red beans and pork chunks. We waited for an excess of 45 minutes to get served the rice tasted like it was leftover from a couple of days before and my pork and onions although tasty it was dried out the yuca had no Mojo and I was just disgusted by the lack of good quality service and food. I have nothing good to say about the restaurant. My experience with El mofongazo was deplorable. Another thing that got me wishing I had gone somewhere else was that most of the things on the menu were not being offered because they didnt have it to serve the people who went there. I vowed never to go back to El mofongazo again. TERRIBLE ABOUT THE ENTIRE EXPERIENCE...

I dont really like to publicly criticized a restaurant, but this has been a pretty bad experience. I went to get some lunch. I ordered some stuffed potato as appetizer, some sweet plantains and also ordered some white rice, red bans and grilled chicken. By my time it took them to bring the stuffed potato more than 30 minutes, it was warm not hot in the outside, the inside was almost cold . when they finally brought my plate after almost an hour! the rice was way over cooked, and for some reason cold. I have never seen such of ugly looking grilled chicken. Flavor wasnt that bad. Ill say the beans were great and the sweet plantains. I payed $24 and a changed. Ill be hones I didnt even left tip for then because the customer service was not good at all even if the lady was trying. Ah by the way Im born and raised in Puerto Rico and I have to say Im very disappointed of this place and I would never go back again.

Food was ok, order coffee they did not have coffee? ordered Kola Champagne they did not have it either,....so coca cola it was. Mofongo portion was good but it was kind of dry.....and the salsa tropical (mayo and ketchup) was not a very good match for the mofongo I had the mofongo con carne frita, my wife ordered the mofongo with (mar y tierra) shrimp was good, and the sauce that came with that order was good. Also the waitress was ok but she never introduced herself to us we did not know who she was.....until we ask what was her name, but she was very friendly. Music kind of loud,....some songs we can not hear our waitress when she talk to us, neither we could hear each other talk.

I was afraid at first, its not everyday you sit at a table and you get a menu with the prices blocked and scratched off. The waitress was pleasant (dont know her name, never told me) and told me that she would tell me the prices of everything, but still felt uneasy about that. My wife and I originally wanted a Mofongo con Carne Frita, but after asking the amount of pieces of tge carne frita, lets just the frugality of it, well...we opted not to. "BUT" we did get a Jibarito de Cerdo and both price and taste was very satisfactory! The only suggestion, offer a side of Mayo-Ketchu, a delicious spread that always goes well with plátanos. Check my wifes pic, nice presentation of our meal.

Es un restaurante De altura y buen gusto. Algo diferente y especial donde no sólo disfrutarás de una comida criolla sabrosa y espectacular. Es un lugar acogedor romántico especial único donde te aseguro disfrutarás de un momento especial único.

El tiempo de espera fue exagerado, se ordeno por telefono, se nos indico que serian 30 minutos, al llegar al lugar esperamos por 40 minutos más y para colmo la comida no lleno las expectativas.

Vimos al cocinero orinando afuera del restaurante, y entrando por la puerta del frente sin lavarse las manos obviamente nos volvimos a subir al carro y no entramos. Que asco.

I order shrimp mofongo and beefsteak tripleta. Delicious shrimp mofongo plate quantity was exelent. Beefsteak tripleta was delicious lots amount of beefsteak. I came visit Tampa from Virginia and El Mofongaso made my day. Chef is Puerto Rican woman with a authentic Puerto Rican flavor. I just order to go and served fast less than 10 min.

You cant have a normal conversation without the music blow out your eardrums.. the food is disgusting i could have made better beans out of a can and the service is awful, hope you dont chole on anything the waitress will never bring it... p.s the seafood is not fresh.. wtf this is fl.. how do u not have fresh seafood

I gave 1 star because without it I couldnt write a review. Do not waste youre money here!! I ordered 2 mofongos with shrimp and 2 pina coladas to go, the piñas were watery and the mofongos were NASTY, the shrimp tasteless. I literally put it in the garbage after the first bite.

Great authentic Puerto Rican food. Expected alot more food for the price. We had Aquopurias , arroz y gandules rosados & chicken jibrarito. But even though we didnt get as much food as I expected it was very good and i will visit again.

Food was ok. Service very slow. Many items that we ordered were not available -- although we were informed of this after a 30 min wait. Music way too loud. Would not visit this restaurant again.
