Today I went to ROK:BRGR with two of my friends for brunch. We were promptly seated inside. After about ten minutes of being neglected, I turned behind me and asked if someone could send a server our way. The man I asked turned out to be our server, Mike H. He poured us each a mimosa (which are free with Sunday brunch). Then Mike disappeared for another solid ten minutes. He then came back with three waters and again disappeared for another ten minutes. When I next spotted him I asked him to take our order. We ordered our food and then Mike disappeared for about 20 minutes. My friends and I were starving so I was beginning to look around but again Mike was nowhere to be found. Finally I saw him wandering out of the bathroom. I asked him when our food would be ready as we had been waiting over 40 minutes. He replied “well we’re quite busy, it could come out now or in ten minutes or longer I really don’t know.” This is not the response you give in the customer service industry. The correct response would have been “Let me check on that for you.” About ten minutes later Mike came out with two of our meals and then again disappeared. I had to find another server to ask where the third meal was. About five minutes later, the third meal was served. I have never, ever waited nearly an hour for brunch ANYWHERE, and I have been to Green Street in the Grove at the peak of Sunday brunch rush. Mike H. disappeared more times than Harry Houdini. I normally tip more than industry standard but couldn’t bear to leave Mr. Houdini an above average tip. The food was good, but as far as the service was concerned, it was notably one of the most horrendous experiences of my life. I can not bear to go back to ROK:BRGR ever again in fear that I will be seated in Mr. Houdini’s section. I’d rather pay for my mimosas.

This place is PACKED on Sundays, so be prepared to wait if you have a large group. Also, make sure your group shows up together - they will not seat you until your entire party is there (which is quite frustrating if you have friends that are perpetually late). The good thing about waiting on Sundays is that you can still go to the bar to start your bottomless mimosas and just drink them on the sidewalk while you wait. They had a live DJ during our visit, which was a little strange since there wasnt much of a dance floor. I feel like they could have saved themselves some money on that and just opted for a Spotify/Pandora station. That being said, I wouldnt say that this is family-friendly during Sunday brunch...its full of drunk twenty-somethings that are attempting to get their moneys worth for the bottomless mimosas. If you decide to go to ROK:BRGR on a regular night, Im sure youll find the atmosphere a little less rambunctious. The food there is actually enjoyable, but definitely fattening. I opted for the Loaded Tater Tots and the Breakfast Mac & Cheese (no egg on top--just unhealthy carbs for me!). Other folks in my group ordered the pancakes of the day (cookies & cream!!!) and the Benedict Bar. No one left unsatisfied--except for me, because I really wanted to order another round of Loaded Tater Tots :)

I suppose that if youre getting bottomless mimosas for brunch, small little details, like the taste of your food, take a backseat to loud house music, EDM, and not being seated because your party is missing one person. "I was waiting in line at the Rokburger, hoping they would let me in." What is this, South Beach? This place screams Miami. Luckily we didnt have to pay cover. The Chicken and Waffles I ordered were severely underwhelming. Even the candied bacon topping them was meh. I dont expect a life changing experience out of a place focusing on trendiness and turnover but for $15 I need at least Publix level fried chicken on my tiny waffles. To their credit, they made it look real pretty. A while back, I had a decent burger there and it looked delicious. And that it looked delicious is all I remember about it. It seems that at Rokburger they excel at making things look good but dont ever go far beyond that. I believe the word is superficial. Theres never anything standout about the taste of their food. Dont get me wrong, once you get past the door, their service is solid but I will always think of them as the place that made me put the words bacon and meh in the same sentence.

The food is a 5 star. Some of the best burgers Ive had in Miami. The atmosphere is trying too hard to stick with the "Rok" theme. It is far too loud and they play the same 90s alternative rock every time youre there (uncensored, so be careful taking the kids). The service would give the place a 1 star. The staff are undertrained and the manager/owner is quite pompous and has a "you should count yourself lucky to be in my place" attitude. We had a problem with an order once and he just talked his way in circles to avoid helping us instead of trying to work with us. (and we were not looking for a handout or being difficult) UPDATE 10.7.16 Dropped from a 3 star, to a 2 star. Theyve recently changed the menu and policy of how you are allowed to order with it. my wife loves to put the veggie patty on different burgers. She cant do that any more. This place continues to fight to lose my business with their difficulty. They make decisions that are against the ease and comfort of the customer. We will be back less because of this continued disregard for my business.

Amazing place to go if youre looking for some good comfort food. Christophe was our waiter and he was amazing. We waited an entire hour for our food though. But it was worth the wait because the food cane out hot and fresh. Christophe was very apologetic. We knew it wasnt his fault. But I guess thats what you get when the food is fresh and made to order so it wasnt a big deal. The Kale salad was the bomb! And the sweet potatoe fries were to die for. We loved every bit of our food. The place is really laid back. The guy on the mic and guitar really out did himself. Everything was perfect. We drove almost an hour just to come here. We will be back. Well ask for Christophe.

My friends and I came to this restaurant to watch the UFC fights on a Saturday night. Hector was our waiter and he was sincerely amazing. Very friendly, always taking care of us ( we were a party of 10) Hector made sure he got all we needed and he was very charismatic, with a big smile on his face. However, there was a problem with my order. Some other waiter/waitress took my plate and gave it to someone else. Hector was kind enough to give me a glass of wine for free since I have had been waiting for my plate for a while. For this, I definitely recommend this place and Hector. Hector will take care of you and look out for the customers best interest.

i must say I was impressed with this place. The food is very good. My wife and I ordered 2 burgers. They were great amazing. Very juice meat and excellent quality and size. THe customer service was excellent as well. The waitress was very kind and helpful. We also order our daughter some chicken tenders, I must admit they have been the best chicken tenders ever. Nice white chiken and juice. Definietly going back to this place. PRICE IS OVERALL OK. AROUND $10.00 A BURGER OR SO. BEER IS LIKE 8. All 3 meals including the delicious desert of Oreo Chessecake, came out to like $68.00. Very good price for the excellent quality of food and service.
