My family and I decided to try the Rusty Bucket a few weeks after it opened. We went on a Saturday around 4 pm. We were greeted as soon as we walked in by a nice young lady, she quickly sat us and told us some one would be right with us. We sat at our table chatting for a few minutes while we waited for someone to come greet us. (It obviously was shift change when we came in because there was lots of employees coming in after we arrived and there was what looked like a shift meeting happening in a room off to the side.) While we sat patiently waiting, employees kept walking by our table, servers or food runners, who ever they were, still employees and yet no one spoke to us to even say someone will be right with you. Finally the hostess who sat us came back by and I said that no one had been over to even take a drink order yet and we had been there almost 15 minutes. She said she would be right back and walked off. About 8 minutes later a server finally came over to greet us and said she was waiting on tables in the outside area and that she apologized for our wait. Clearly they had just grabbed someone to take our table because we had been forgotten and we clearly were not in her section since we were seated inside the middle not anywhere near the outside area. The manager and what appeared to be the cook were in the restaurant worried about a sign hanging on the wall and what it read instead of even being a little concerned with the patrons dining in their establishment. We had to ask the hostess to get our check.Long story short, food was great, service was terrible. I worked in the food and beverage industry for 10+ years and I am usually very understanding of wait staff because I have been in their shoes but this was certainly one of the worst experiences that I have had as far as service. I am highly disappointed because we were very excited to have a new place to eat. This experience left us with a bad taste in our mouths about The Rusty Bucket.

I really, really wanted to love this place but I was so disappointed. The service was good but the food was on the low end of edible. Lets start with the appetizer: We ordered the spinach queso dip. Basically it tasted like it was canned queso mixed with some reheated frozen or canned spinach. I could have saved 8 bucks and bought that garbage at Aldis and made it myself. Next we ordered the Italian torpedo sandwich and the double stacked quesadilla. The torpedo sandwich had an awful, half baked, low end baguette that you could buy at any corner grocery store. If I put the two halves together it might have measured 5 inches but I doubt it. Now this is a ten dollar sub, basically, and for a ten dollar sub you expect something better. The sausage was burned. The minuscule amount of salami and cappicola on it was fried, making them very sour and overpowering the sandwich. There was a whisper of shredded lettuce on top mixed with some kind of mayo that you couldnt taste. I mean for a ten or eleven dollar sub you should blow my mind. Put some meat on there, use a good roll, do something! The double stack quesadilla was underwhelming to say the least. My wife ordered the chicken blackened, but instead was basically off the shelf low end chicken breast that was not blackened. The rest of the quesadilla was bland and we threw half of it out when we got home. I feel kind of bad wasting the Styrofoam packaging on the leftovers. A waste of forty dollars too. Not going back, sorry.

Atmosphere was cool the hostess was fun only had to wait a while to be seated but all when down hill once we sat at the booth. Food took forever to come and they ran out of pizza dough which is the only reason I decided to come in the first place. I ended up getting meat loaf by recommendation from our friendly waiter. It was better than good but not great. Wings for appetizer were gross got the sriracha sauce and they were not even spicy blue cheese ranch was horrible (and I love blue cheese). My sisters fish was disgusting it tasted like it was plastic and I had to chew for at least a minute before it would go down and I still spat it up afterwards. The taco salad tasted cheap with too much sour cream. The fries were cold almost instantly and the waiter although friendly was almost completely absent through out the meal. I ended bagging the meat loaf. Throw away the fish and rushing out as fast as possible.

First time going there, our group of seven, not a large party, were going for dinner and drinks. We got there at around 8, and were told there was a private event being held later, and that they were closing at 9. For some reason, we had to leave immediately. There were still customers eating, so none of this made any sense. It was still only 8 15 at this point. Not sure why there was no sign posted, or why we couldnt stay until 9 and have a few drinks until they actually had to close for their staff party. The restaurant in no way shape or form looked closed, or looked like it was getting ready to close. Guess making money isnt important to them. Wont be going back. Very bad experience.

It pains me to give this restaurant a 3*. I started going to the bucket years ago when Joe and Gary opened in the Dublin area. I have been a raving fan for a very long time. Service is really sub-par compared to other Buckets (OH and MI) and CMR. I have never even seen a server smile at this location. No milkshake awards here. Couple the service with portion sizes and quality that have both decreased since opening and you get a 3* review. I have been a professional restaurant manager for 25 years and this is the first negative review I have left. This feels like a personal offence as I know first-hand how amazing this concept should be. Still yrf, D.

Food was pretty good, the Bartender knew what a Lynchburg Lemonade was which was good for my Aunt who loves them. The waitress Chelsea was great with bringing refills and service in general. Atmosphere was pretty cool. The only gripe I have is my Aunt is disabled in a wheelchair and had a really difficult time getting in the handicap accessible bathroom stall. I usually help her, but this was far more difficult than normal because there was not enough room for her to maneuver onto the toilet.

Mediocre at best, found no reason to come back here, especially when there are other very good restaurants in the area. The habanero wings were spicy but the flavor was not good. The tuna wrap was okay, but nothing impressive. The fish tacos were edible and the fries were soggy and greasy. We got greeted very slowly and the service was okay. The glass I asked for with my beer could hold only half the contents of my bottle and there was no soap on the female bathroom.

First time here and definitely not the last. I had the chicken parm which was great. If I had to critique it maybe the sauce on the chicken could use a bit more seasoning but even that will not keep me from ordering it again, I loved it...and it was a very generous portion. My girl had the buffalo chicken sandwich which of course I had to try and it was really good and HUGE!!! Service was great. "Ill be back" (Arnold voice)... Definitely no complaints here.
