I went to this location just before 8pm on Sunday night. I ordered a family meal with 12 chicken strips and 2 sides of mashed potatoes. There was no one in line in front of me when I placed my order and there were 3 people who had placed orders waiting for their food. Over the course of the next 35 minutes 6 people came in and placed orders after I did and received their food. There seemed to be a lot of hostility between the employee operating the cash register and the people cooking in the back. The whole staff was overwhelmed and disorganized. $28 and 40 minutes for some chicken strips and mashed potatoes is not worth my time. After getting home over an hour after I had set out on my "fast" food voyage I noticed that they didnt even give me biscuits with my meal. If you really like Popeyes it is probably worth your time to drive down to the Sun City location instead of standing for the 40 minutes it takes this location to fill an order.

I should of read the reviews before going to this place! Went April 3rd at 8:18PM and the service was very slow. Employees looked like they were not sure what to do. It took about 20 min to get my order to go and when I got home I was missing the large fries. When I called the Manager Kayla said just bring in the receipt and she would give me the fries. However she said it was after 9pm and they are closed!!! I explained how I was disappointed and after spending $56 at this place and not to have the full meal for my family. She said if I did not like it I could call the GM Bernard who she said would be there everyday until 6PM. The attitude of the manager was reflected in the associates. I will never go back to this POPEYES ! Its sad to say that you get better service from KFC!!!

My order was wrong. I didnt complain. I thought any one can make a mistake and I didnt complain. I ate what was given to me. I walked to my car and and stomach pains hit. Before i could make it home. Which is walking distance to this place i was sick. And so was my husband. This was my first and last visit to them. A bite to eat should result in a day of terrible stomach pains and being stuck at home. When i drive by there I see cars wrapped around the building and I think to myself I cant be the only one. Then I log into Nextdoor which is a neighborhood app where everyone in my community can sell things. And there is notification after notification of people asking if they had trouble with popeyes in riverview. So I am not the the only one. And if you read this run from Popeyes chicken.

Despite the bad reviews from overly critical fast food connoisseurs...., Ive had good experiences for the most part. Particularly tonight, got home late and didnt feel like cooking. Went to Popeyes at 9:50 (they close at 10). They were incredibly busy and told us ahead of time that the order would take 13 minutes since they were out of some pieces for the moment. About 15 minutes later, Duane (A manager) came out with the food, with some complimentary pies. He upsized the drinks as well. This was for making us wait, which they made clear before I even paid. I soulfully appreciate this type of customer service the few times we are at the occasional fast food joint. Chicken was hot, crunchy goodness to boot. Thanks Duane.

If I had a negative star I would post it. WORST SEVICE OF ALL TIME! My husband went in to order Because the drive thru was packed. I sat in the car waiting AND waiting AND waiting. Finally after 25 minutes I went in to find him still waiting for his order. He had been standing there for 10 minutes before any one told him there wasnt any spicy chicken cooked! When I asked for a manager, a guy who looked to be 12 came out. He didnt even know what to say! Get out to the car and no utensils or napkins! What are we suppose to eat mashed potatoes with?? Never will I give Popeyes our business again! 8 people working out front and no chicken ready?? Bad business training!

Terrible customer service and its a shame being that its the only Popeyes in Riverview! Drove 15min to get there, asked to make sure that order was correct just to get home to find out a lot missing. Called back to speak to manager which had nocustomer service and went back and forth with me and offered an Apple pie after my inconvenience! Would not provide a replacement on chicken that was cold at that point due to their negligence! I requested managers name which was not provided but I could hear in the background to say thank you and to hang up which they did. Normally I would let this be but obviously there needs to be some changes at this Summerfield location!

Complete disaster.....staff spend more time in parking lot smoking cigs ,actually 2 employees and one manager..took pics and videos of all 3 hanging out smoking as manager appeared to be showing off his new ride :-) 4 more employees had the privilege of taking small boxes out together REALLY SMALL boxes like one person couldve handled it, Ive seen my 13 year daughter carry more than what all 4 of these guys had at hand 34 minutes in drive thru wait time 8:03 pm unrealistic. I know this location is going to roll in the money but locals will get tired of how long the wait is and professionalism lacking of employees and foremost the MANAGERS.shame shame shame

The Customer service is the worst. Also when you are ordering you can hear the employees cackaling in the background and its like if they are laughing at you. They get the order wrong more than any other place I have gone to eat. I dont really blame the regular employees I blame the managers because how can they not see what is going on? Save yourself some grief and go to kfc if you want chicken or make the travel to Brandon or suncity/Ruskin for Popeyes or if you want terrible service or dry hard chicken go to the Popeyes in summerfield

Ouch. This is a bad location. Went in around 12:30 on a Tuesday. Not busy but all tables dirty. Floors dirty. Service slow, food not hot. What appeared to be the manager, a disheveled overweight older man sat a one table and barked out, "Counter!" when any customer arrived. It was wildly uncomfortable. Maybe he could have spent time cleaning up or lead by example. Awful management here. Not bad employees, just NO leadership. DO NOT FREQUENT THIS LOCATION.

When I asked to make one of my family meal sides extra biscuits, the manager told the cashier she couldnt. When I asked to speak the manager, she started yelling from the back of the kitchen. I pointed out to the assistant Mgr that biscuits are on the sides menu and he still turned me down. I saw the customer in front of me order a gallon of sweet tea, but they only had onehalf a gallon left. No more tea?!? Terrible service only 7 months after opening.

The food from this location is amazing when fresh and delivered right but that in itself is a rarity and Ive been the victim of over 30 minute wait times in their pathetic drive thru. That being said the food can be amazing but sometimes you feel like you got the back of the pan food and its luke warm and stale. In the blue moon situation you do get speedy fresh food then you will experience food nirvana.
