They need to close East Coast Pizza down. Or the surgeon general needs to put a warning on it like a pack of smokes. Its too good. Its not even fair to any other pizza place. They could open the same restaurant in Brooklyn or the Bronx and it would thrive. Im NY Italian, Ive had all of the "best" pizza, world famous Rays, all of them. Last time I was in Manhattan, I got a Rays pizza (keep in mind this is a world renown place) and I just remember that before I even tasted it, already knowing East Coast Pizza was better. This place is almost comical. Pinch me. Tell me that now, of all places, our charming little Podunk Riverview FL (my apologies, but cmon were damn near in Wimauma. WIMAUMA!!!) makes the best NY pie in and out of NY, and I still cant believe it. The pizza is ridiculous. The toppings are delicious. Whole milk mozz in large quantity. Only order extra cheese if you want an obscene amount of cheese.. Do not change or vary their original recipes, just let them cook the way it was intended. The biggest plate of chicken parmigiana youve ever seen, a huge side of pasta, homemade bread stick (garlic knots), for a mere $10. Bet you cant eat more than half. Ever had a real Sicilian pizza? Want to have one again but cant make it to Westchester NY? Go to East Coast. Have you SEEN their calzones? If youve never had a calzone, you have to try one. You have not lived until you have tried a calzone. Just be prepared for something the size and weight of a baby gorilla in a box, or the personal size is very accomodating for only $6-$7 or so. Every single time, I notice the taste of the freshest ricotta, mozzarella, and dough. Never a problem. Never anything to complain about, ever. If you are a vegetarian, you owe it to yourself to try the eggplant parmigiana. Even if you are arent, try it anyway. The service is also amazing. Ive never met a more consistent crew. You can tell the people that work there genuinely appreciate the business and owner enough to personally care that they represent it in a way that it deserves to be. The owner, Aaron, is very friendly, even buying me a beer and turning me onto blue point lager. Please trust me. All of you New Yorkers, northerners, southerners that want to try REAL pizza and Italian.. This is a place you absolutely cannot bypass. You owe it to yourself to stop in and enjoy any and everything they have. Try their salads, try their subs. The sub lunch combo is phenomenal.. I havent found anything that wasnt. -The Migliores

Had to change my review after tonight. Its a shame, because the pizza is pretty good. So let me start by saying that in the 1 year that I have lived here I have either dined in or picked up 3-4 times a month. On average we spend anywhere between 30-60 dollars a visit. Well tonight we decided to dine in... as we are waiting for our 2 pies my wife realized she had forgotten our 1 year-olds sippy cup, and so she went to the counter to ask for a cup with a lid. No big deal right? Well the girl at the counter told my wife the only cup with a lid that fits costs 2.69, even if its only for water and for a child. She pays and comes back to the table. I was pretty upset that we were charged nearly 3 bucks for a cup with a lid for tap water, for a 2 year old! I understand some people may take advantage and get soda, but we are loyal and frequent customers who spend good money in your establishment. I then asked to speak to a Manger. Some young blonde girl comes to the table to tell me that the owners policy states they have to charge 2.69 for the cups that have a lid, even if we are frequent customers, no exceptions. Wow, Manger offers no solution and doesnt apologize... So my father in law says, no problem, next time we will just take the free cup and hope you wont have to mop up water if he spills it everywhere. The young manager replied loudly "you dont have to threaten me sir!" Her reply was loud enough fot other patrons to hear and stare... embarrassing. You know, I was under the assumption that one of the reasons east coast pizza doesnt deliver was so you could see and interact with your customer base, like many pizza places up north. Well, I will tell you that from my experience tonight, that is not the case. Im pretty broken hearted over this because I love your pizza, even on nights that it hasnt been so great, or a 2 hr wait. Ive even gone so far as to recommended numerous people to your establishment. I want to be clear that its not really the 3 dollars that I am upset about, it is the lack of customer service I experienced and the embarrassment I felt caused by your manager. Unfortunately I think I will return, as the experience I had tonight I think Id rather support a restaurant that takes care of their customers as much as the customer takes care of them with thier continued business. After reading some other reviews, seems customer service is a common complaint. I hope the owner addresses that issue before all your customers leave one by one.

Weve had one too many bad experiences with them over the last couple years. They never fully service their lunch specials from 11-3, barley to 12 some days. They dont honor their reward coupons and make up rules for the coupons in store that are not printed on them. It took over a year for them to figure out what the problem was with us not receiving our rewards at all and then made no compensation for lost rewards over that time. It took months for them to fix their soda machine the prior year. Since the owner is never there it has gone down hill. As of the last few times weve been there the pizza is either over or under cooked. In December we asked for a 1/2 and 1/2 pizza for the toppings picked and what we got was 2 slices of one side and the rest of the slices where the other toppings. Just a wreck. So unhappy. When I ask about the Owner today they say he doesnt respond to Facebook and doesnt have a schedule and doesnt do call backs. I have to call back or email. What type of customer service is this? Does he not even care about his store anymore?

Ordered pizza to go last night. Ordering over the phone was easy and friendly. When arriving to pickup, long line at the door but this was to be expected as it was a Friday night. Staff was very friendly through the pickup process. Ordered a 10" sausage, a 14" bacon and pepperoni and a garlic bread. Got the pizza home, started to enjoy, but this is when I discovered hair in my pizza. I am not a germaphobe by any means, But I discovered a piece of black curly hair about an inch long in the piece I was eating. I pulled it out and continued eating. My second piece, half way through, I felt something stuck between my teeth, another piece of black curly hair. I can tolerate 1 piece of hair here and there, but that is just ridiculous. I gave 2 stars because the overall quality of the pizza was good and the friendliness of the staff. The guys making the pizza in the back dont wear hats, hair nets or gloves. Not sure if ill be going back.
