The Worst St. Pats experience EVER!! Just returned home from Shindigs on Sunday March 17th 11am. We read their website for the info on times and music and thought we would arrive for 11 for good seats. When we pulled into the parking lot there was no parking so we thought there would be people here already, not. We entered the gated area and paid our $5 cover total $15 for three of us, the two girls at the table said you need a stamp or wristband then stood there and stared at us. I then asked where are the wrist bands, she said I guess I will go get them. So we stood at the front table for another five minutes, meanwhile RocknRoll is playing and no Irish music. When I ask about the bands AGAIN, the same girl said I dont know where they are. No one had any info about the festival and were clueless about Shindigs own website promoting it!! Finally the clueless girl returns and says We are not open or ready! It was 10:50 am! How can you not be ready for a festival when the music is suppose to start at 11 or 11:30 depending on were you read on their own website. WE WERE GIVEN OUR MONEY BACK and we did not even ask for our money back but were told: they were not READY!! UNBELIEVABLE!!! I have never been give my money back at a festival and told we are not ready!!! What kind of unorganized half a** event is this. No surprise really this is PORT ST LUCIE, cant even have a decent ST PATS Festival....The right thing to do would of been let us in and we will find you and give you your wristbands. Again, people were only just arriving finding us would not of been an issue. The other couple that came in were disgusted to find out they couldnt pay to get in either and they knew the Irish singer playing at 11AM!!! What kind of idiot was in charge of this event??? It is not rocket science just suppose to be courteous and hospitable. Obviously the terrible reviews for the restaurant will be the same for all events held at this so called Irish PUB.

My wife and I went to Shindigs because we had a BOGO coupon. When first walking in there was no one to show us to a table so we had to seat ourselves. After sitting at our first table, we noticed that there was some sort of sticky goop on it so we had to find a clean one. We hung for a few minutes until someone (the owner?) noticed us and took our drink order and got us menus. A few minutes later our waiter appeared with our drinks and took our order. I ordered the Fish and Chips and the Wifey ordered the corned beef. The Wifey thought the corned beef was excellent and the piece of fish I got was the size of the plate but a little soggy...... The fries were nothing to write home about, and the coleslaw was very wet and soggy. The big downfall of the night was our waiter. While friendly, he was too busy flirting with the guy behind the bar than giving us service. When it came time for the check we sat there for 15 minutes waiting to pay while he was off making googly eyes at the dude behind the bar. I finally had to flag down the (owner?) and give her the check and she got his attention. While filling out the CC receipt my pen ran out of ink and I had to wait another 5 minutes until Flirt boy realized that I was trying to get his attention to get another pen. There was only 15 people in the place, Id HATE to see what the service would have been if the place was packed. All in all the food was decent, the atmosphere is AWESOME, but the service sucked. HARD.......

Im a local and have raved about this place since day 1. Ownership changed several years ago and its gone downhill from there. Tonight, we went to celebrate our daughters 20th birthday in hopes of having a good time. We waited nearly an hour for our food and everything was horribly cooked. Grilled cheese sandwich was cold and looked like it had been dragged across a griddle to clean it. Burger was supposed to be medium and was well well done. Caramelized onions were raw and blue cheese crumbles were literally cold. I asked for a manager and got the kitchen manager whos been wearing the same bleach stained checkered shirt for years. He said "Ill just take it off the bill". I asked for another manager in hopes of getting the owner and some other female came out. She was somewhat apologetic and agreed that the food shouldnt have come out looking like it did. Not only did the owner (and i know who he is) not apologize for our experience but he looked me in the eye after I complained and then turned his head. This guy should be embarrassed of himself and try running a 7-11. Im sure he would be better at that! If you want to get drunk, got to the bar. If you want good food, do not go here!

Today my boyfriend and mom went for Sunday brunch and had a very nice time. Lauri was our very knowledgeable and kind waitress. I ordered the full Irish breakfast, my mom had the lunch portion of Corned beef and cabbage and my boyfriend ordered the Rasher burger. Everything came out hot, fresh, and delicious. The full Irish breakfast had a big portion if eggs, brown toast, two bangers, with huge slices of white and black pudding, Irish bacon, and cooked tomato. My boyfriends burger was cooked just the way he wanted it. The waitress suggested a garlic aioli when my boyfriend asked for a sauce suggestion (which is light and flavorful). My moms portion of corned beef and cabbage was big with the cabbage cooked in bacon drippings with crunchy pieces of bacon. It wasnt too noisy and crowded and the service was great. I definitely recommend this as a great alternative to other breakfast chain restaurants especially with all the Irish specialty breakfast items like Irish eggs Benedict and Irish French toast.

Gave this place another try because I had a buy one get one free. The manager Chris sent the waitress out telling me I couldnt use it because the 2nd meal was discounted... REALLY??? So charge me full price for my sons meal then give it to me free... Makes sense right? I got home & called the manager Chris. He told me he knew exactly what meals I had & gave me a bullshit story how he told the waitress to give me the option of paying the discounted price or take the free meal! I dont believe he told that young waitress anything of the sort. This is how this place operates & the 3 times I have visited its always something... I have not been impressed NOT once. It explains the reason its not busy when I go in there. I highly recommend going to Tailgaters next door. They occasionally make mistakes but they are always customer friendly & fix the problem & the food is much better!

I love this place and I had planned to take friends visiting from Tampa (who are Irish) to Shindigs to hear the Irish music on Sunday. I checked the calendar on the web page to be sure that they did indeed have music scheduled at 4pm on that Sunday. We arrived at Shindigs at 5pm and we were turned away at the door. All of the tables in the establishment (approximately half appeared to be empty) were reserved for a private party. However, we were invited to eat outside. While eating outside may be pleasant during most of the year, in August, its just silly. I wish that the management had posted something on their web page informing patrons that they were closed for a private party. It will be a long while, if ever, before I return to Shindigs. If they dont want my business, there are many other businesses that do.
