On opening the door, although two employees (one very short) was standing by the door chatting, they did not greet us. They ignored us and continued their conversation. A lady came from the back, noticed us standing there, said hello and showed us to a booth with a stained table cloth and cracked vinyl seats. On the way, we noticed a strong odor of old food and dirt. The carpet was obviously filthy. Based on the great reviews we soldiered on. My wife had the chicken corn soup and I had the egg drop and wonton soup. Both were obviously from a mix and tasted the same. Difference was mine had wontons and my wifes had little bits of what we will call chicken and corn. Both had egg drop. My wifes main was the pork and veggies. Her pork slices were those processed, multi-colored, processed pork slices. The veggies were cooked to a soggy consistency in a mystery brown sauce. My kung po chicken was not the usual battered and fried chicken small nuggets with chopped chilis, nuts and other fresh chopped veggies but were slices of chicken breasts that were obviously boiled before heating, with the same veggies my wife had, and the same brown sauce! The only difference in the taste of our dishes was that mine had chili flakes sprinkled on it - not kung po... There was also a man in filthy work clothes yelling into a cell phone going in and out of the restaurant, the kitchen and behind the register. He had to be an owner. Or maybe a regular. In any case he was so loud we could not hear ourselves talk. Because the food was less then mediocre, the unwelcoming attitude of the employees was obvious (we felt like we were intruding), and the smell of the carpet (we refused to use the bathroom because if the common area had this smell the bathroom must really be bad), we cannot not recommend or return to this restaurant. Based on the other reviews, maybe we caught them on a bad night -- we dont think so. But we wont be turning. Good luck...

Dont take my word for it - Chinese people eat here too and love it! My friend from Taiwan introduced me to this restaurant which specializes in traditional Chinese food as well as the American-style Chinese food that we are familiar with. Every Chinese restaurant does some things well and others not so well. I was not particularly impressed with Jade Gardens Orange Beef or General Tso Chicken, their sliced pork (dry), or their egg drop soup (too much corn starch). HOWEVER, their chicken and pork fried rice is excellent, their won-ton soup fantastic, spring rolls great and their other entrees that Ive had: Sesame Chicken, Beef with Chinese Vegetables, Chicken and Shrimp with Vegetables and Ma Po Tofu are fantastic! Once you find something great, stick with it! Cmon - anyone who eats Chinese food will tell you that. Im not sure about the reviewer complaining about fried food. Dont order fried food if you dont like fried food. LOL Right? Anyway, for someone who spent most of my 32 years protesting every time my parents or friends wanted to go to a Chinese restaurant Ive finally found one I like (besides PF Changs). The prices are reasonable, the restaurant is immaculately clean, and they deliver. Give them a chance! Much better than a buffet or nasty mall Chinese place.

Ive been going here for like 10 years. Ive NEVER had a problem. I judge a Chinese restaurant the same way I judge a Jewish deli. I judge a Jewish deli by their matzoh ball soup. Because if they cant make that, they cant make anything else. I judge a Chinese place by their wonton soup. If they cant make that, they cant make anything else. They have the best wonton soup Ive ever put in my mouth. Usually I go to a Chinese place and the wontons are doughy with hardly any filling. I do NOT have that problem here! Tasty wontons with lots of meat in the middle, and a broth you could drink all day long. I always get their sweet and sour chicken. Other places have rubbery chicken and the breading just falls off. Not here! The chicken is always moist and the breading is perfect. The sauce isnt too much, either. I dont like my chicken swimming in sauce. And they give you. So. Much. Food. Hubby and I always get the dinner special, and we always have leftovers. I dont mind paying $12/person for it because I know we basically just bought dinner for today AND lunch for tomorrow. My grandmother always got their shrimp with lobster sauce. I never had it (not a fan of lobster) but it always made her happy, and she was about as picky as I am.

Flies in restaurant. One fell into my egg drop soup. Egg drop soup was way too thick (almost like jello). Egg roll was stale. Orange chicken was terrible (sauce was super runny, and chicken flavor bland, consistency was chewy). Restaurant dirty (wall on table had old pieced of small food stuck in it). Expensive as well. Went there for Lunch and paid $16+ for what Id consider to be one of the worst Chinese restaurants Ive ever been too. Service wasnt great either. Although they were pleasant, they thought nothing of the fly problem and really werent concerned. I rarely review places unless theyre really good or really bad... THIS ONE HAPPENS TO BE VERY BAD! DISAPPOINTING.

Food is pretty Good. Location is close and convenient to me. One thing I wasnt thrilled about was my meat portion size! Theyre dinner combos are a bit on the pricy side, even if they try and "sell" the boutique feel...its still just a Chinese food spot to me (native new yorker) I got home and realized they didnt give me much meat with my General Tso dinner...it looked like a lot, but it was just a lot of Broccoli underneath the small amount of chicken :/ Check your meal before you leave if you are ordering take out. Other than that, Its a reliable option in the area.

Be aware, some of these reviews are fake. Like the one about friendly people. They don’t have a friendly person in the place. Anyway, I went there for lunch today. I wanted the savory chicken and veggies described in the menu. When I checked my bag back at work, I had breaded chicken balls swimming in about ½ inch of oil at the bottom of the container, no veggies. The pork fried rice looks like it was fried many times. This is a plate of food that went directly into the garbage. There are many other places in the area that do a better job.

Fresh vegetables, live swimming fish in tanks for steamed fish, fresh ginger, fresh garlic cloves, tender fried squid, crispy noodles, steamed tofu with seafood, fried rice, nice people and staff, TVs on the walls, authentic Chinese food in Plantation Florida. We are regulars and coming from NY we know Asian food. We wish there was another location near Boca Raton / Delray area ☺ Try the snow pea tips veggie stir fry plate (if you want a bit less oil, salt, garlic, ginger, you can let them know) Its tender and flavorful when "in season".

This is authentic motherland Chinese food. Steamed fish with ginger and scallions for a great price - $12 - $17 - where other Chinese restaurants would charge at least $20 or more. The dishes have been excellent. Wait staff has been courteous, attentive and quick. This is definitely a place to take visiting family members.
