I have dined here 3 times. On this go around I ordered the lunch special spaghetti and meat balls with mozzarella sticks. I called at 12:04 Pm, was told it would be ready in 25 min, in which case I was not able to pick up until 12:58 PM. That would make the food ready at approximately 12:30. So let us just say that I was late by like 30 Min. The food was tasteless with a side of hardened mini cheese blocks. I called and tried to speak with someone so that I could get my money back and I would have the pleasure of returning the food that I bothered to pick up. The lady on the phone made a huge deal of the fact that I was late by 30 min, which usually if they deliver it takes them like 45 min to an hour to get to you. Than she told that there was nothing she could do and that she would have to talk to the owner and that they would get back to me. I expressed to her that I am at work and that I leave at a specific time and that I would need to know by then. It has been a little bit over an hour and I have heard nothing. I even expressed to the lady how good I think their food usually is, but on this go around the food was not worth at all $17.18. I told her that the only thing worth anything in my lunch was the garlic bread. Anyway, I will probably not hear back from them, and that is the only reason why I have decided to write this review, because that is $17.18 from a working 9 month pregnant women who just wanted something tasty for lunch. It is a darn shame. Will not recommend them to anybody including my place of business. So yeah about that. Oh and I am not the competitor...

Im from New York. This is not a slice joint -- despite the fact that they have a neon sign in the window that says "Pizza by the Slice." Why? Well, for starters, one walks up to the counter, orders a slice, and is then asked "for here or to go?" With a "for here" response, you are told to take a seat, and after you do, a counterperson then comes to take your order. Huh? For a slice and a Coke? To top it off, it then takes close to 15 minutes for them to bring out a slice. Thats right. As if you had ordered a whole pie, and were waiting for it. The slice they finally bring out is an oversized sixth of a pie, and thus much too large. Lest you think you are getting a deal, be aware that they charge $3.25 for this slice. Doing a little math reveals that if they gave you a regular size slice, you would be paying $2.44. The going rate in this area is generally $2 a slice. And the slices are not very good, frankly. Theres a reason they call it "Doughboys" -- their crust is far too doughy, and has an unfortunate doughy taste to boot. Slices are also incredibly oily, by far the oiliest Ive ever had. Im talking Niagra Falls oily. Even leaving aside the too doughy tasting crust, the taste of the slice is pedestrian at best. Both the cheese and the tomato sauce are average. If you are looking for a decent slice in the West Pines area of Broward, you are advised to pass this place up.

Ive been a customer of this place for a long time but today they lost my business forever. I placed a lunch order for pickup. When I arrived to pick it up and pay for it at around 1:15pm on a Monday, I changed my mind and decided to stay there to sit down and eat, rather than take it with me to go. The place was nearly empty. It wasnt packed or busy at all. So I let the girl behind the counter know that Id like to stay to eat and asked her for silverware. She told me that I couldnt because its the managers policy that customers who call ahead to pick up orders have to take it with them to-go. I could understand if the place was packed and there was nowhere to sit. But the place was nearly empty. And all I had ordered was one big slice of pizza which I would have finished in less than 10 minutes. So basically I was not welcome to stay and eat there. Its the same thing as kicking me out of the restaurant. What a way to treat a customer, especially one who has frequented the restaurant countless times and has spent lots of money there. This place has lost my business and I wont be returning ever again.

I find this place very unfriendly and rude. I came in with my 2 daughters to order pizza to go, but I changed my mind to eat inside. So I sat down eating from the box while noticing the waitress gave me a dirty look. So I asked her if you have a problem sitting here and would you rather have us leave, so she responded "if you feel you need to eat here then go ahead" with a major attitude. So after eating a few bites I didnt feel comfortable enough to stick around. So after leaving I mistakingly left a fork and knife on the table. Right then the waitress, "this is why we dont like people that dine in who order take out!" I was so shocked with this response that I said, "so this is why your place is so empty because of your nasty attitude". This place needs a completely new staff if I ever came back here again. Most likely this will not ever happen because the pizza had sour sauce on top of flimsy dough.

Walked In on a Sunday night. Two miserable people standing behind the counter. Did not acknowledge or greet. One guy almost looked annoyed that we walked in. Very squished place. Tables cramped up on top of each other. I will spend my money somewhere else. Edit: I guess you never learn. Just ordered pizza and wings. They overcharged us and when I called in they said "they must have been in a hurry. " they did not refund the over charged amount and told us that we would have a credit next time. What kind of BS is this.? What else goes on while I think the restaurant. My advice is do not order take out using a credit card and check your bill twice.

My family has gone to Doughboys for years now. Both dine in and delivery. This afternoon, the OWNER asked that we step out to control our 2 1/2 year old and 3 year old children. Mind you - that the children were behaving very well! Theyve been to the restaurant before! No one eating seemed bothered by the kids acting like kids, yet the owner pretty much implied that we leave. Needless to say I asked for a refund on my order and will never return. I know many families with CHILDREN that will NEVER eat there again. How can a local family owned business be soo rude to local families eating at their establishment?

My husband really wanted to try them out, so I begrudgingly agreed to give them a try, after reading a review somewhere that a customer saw a worker cough or sneeze and then package a pizza without washing his hands. Ordered from them yesterday and today, I reheated some left overs. One of the dough boys needs to wear a hair net, because I found a 3 inch long hair under the melted cheese that definitely does not belong to my husband or I. They have great garlic rolls, if you like them loaded with oil and garlic (which I do) but the pizza hair was enough for me to say, Im done with them.
